I didn't realize that you were working on ornaments when I asked for your help designing mine; if you would have told me that I would have just waited on yours. Yours are turning out way better than mine,

Full disclosure. Ornnaments were not on my radar when you contacted me. I've done interlocking designs before to create a circular shape. But I got to thinking. You can only really see one side of an ornament. So I started looking for 3D ornaments. This concept is not my own. It is however my take on the concept. I used scenes from coloring books to create the backgrounds and some of the foregrounds. It's how I put them all together that makes me feel like I created something unique. I am working on a variation of one of the designs today for a grand reveal in the next Laser Makers Realm livestream. I have completed all three series and have them on the website now. I also created a bundle that saves 20% on the purchase of all three series. hobowithwood.com

I've watched a lot of Lightburn tutorials over the years but you are, by far, the most creative and practical mentor I've seen. Thanks for your videos.

I watched the entire video and learned a lot. I think I'm going to use the 'panel' part for the name of my grandchild and on the rim of the ornament I'll put text there. On the front rim it will be engraved with Christmas 2023 and on the back With Love From Grandpa and Grandma. You got my creative juices flowing there buddy. GREAT VIDEO.

Wait til you see how I repurposed the design. That will be next weeks video. I do love how a single concept can be so easily morphed into something else using Lightburn.

Hobo as usual super-INSPIRO... thank you.
You taught me something again, and from the Easter bunnies, I will make Christmas snowmen and reindeer....
Oh God, it will be cheesy again...:o)) .
But I'm looking forward to the job.
    Thanks Lada.
And above all, good luck with your work.

Hello Steve, you almost hit the spot, only by a few hundred kilometers.
But what, as you can see, the Earth is so small. o:))
My English is not so good to talk to you, so "Uncle GOOGLE" helps me.
If it is not completely correct, then direct the complaint to him.
I live in the Czech Republic and you answered in Slovak. But it doesn't matter, we were once one country and I can handle it.
That is very kind of you and I appreciate it.
I just finished a few of my designs for your Christmas decoration idea. Too bad I can't put them here.
I appreciate your erudition and the speed with which you create your ideas. The design took me about 2 hours. But hey, it's done and the next variations will go faster. Thanks again and I look forward to your next videos.
      Thanks Lada
And above all, may your work be successful.

Saw a 3D printed jig awhile ago and thought you might want to take a gander at it.
The guy is on the channel named EPMSN Tech Reviews for the videos.
The RUclips video is titled, “New Xtools S1 Enclosed Laser Engraver!”
This jig is red in color.
Appears the four different types of jigs within each main square is centered with each other. Just by looking at it, he doesn’t talk much about this jig.
To me, there are four main squares and each square contains a jig for the following items, but not all at same time in each of the main squares:
    Four Dog Tags
One 4x2 inch Card (maybe smaller)
    One 4 inch Round Coaster
    One 4 inch Square Coaster
Probably rambling too much, just take look at the video.
Well, like they say, “Snap my bow tie, but don’t cause a whiplash.”

Super duper awesome Steve. You have made designing so much less discouraging by watching this. Gonna watch it again and again. BTW, my grandson was sitting at the table doing a puzzle, my husband and daughter were talking and I am on the couch with the laptop watching your video --- it got to the laser cutting part with your music and among the chatter going on my grandson started quietly singing "we wish you a Merry Christmas" LOL.

Great ideas! I am planning to stain the layers one light and one dark to enhance the 3d effect.

Steve, I've been designing in LightBurn for around four years now. A person can always get stuck in a certain way of doing things so I always try to watch someone else's approach to designing in LightBurn. I might have just learned a thing or two today (if I can retain it).😂 I don't know if I will ever realize the full potential of LightBurn. Loved the video.

I really enjoy your channel. Thank you very much. On your Patreon page. What do the three levels offer? I’m looking more at the bronze and silver level and each level just says general support so I was just wondering because on your video you said your designs can be free is that the $20 level. Thank you. Have a wonderful day.

Go ahead and sign up for the Bronze level now. I am doing a live demonstration tonight at 8 pm EST on using the array tool. I will be spending a few minutes talking about the different levels of support. You can always increase your support level. All teirs get FREE files. The amount of free files varies. This week, the Bronze received a single series of Christmas ornaments, Silver got two series, and the Gold received the bundle of three. I try to give the Patrons free files every week. But if you would like to see the live demonstration of the array tool tonight with a Q & A, get signed up now.

Hey Steve, the outer part of ornament and the notched base is what I came looking for. Is there a vid?

    • @HoboWithWood

I can't give away ALL my secrets. Just kidding. But the video was entirely too long. That was edited out. I will touch on that part of the design in the next video where I morph this design into something totally different.
