The rogerley mine is officially closed, glad I have several pieces in my collection! This type of material also turns super blue under UVB light as well.

About 30 years ago I found dozens of fluorite octahedrons in a road construction zone in central Kentucky. Lots of colors too -- purple, yellow, some striped purple and yellow, one completely clear. I checked it out on a whim and discovered treasure.

Ah fluorite is fragile, that explains why the vast majority of my crystals that have broken were fluorite!

Did you know that Fluorite is used to make microscope lenses? Also, what do you think about mentioning any of these rocks and minerals in the future? Sunstone, Turquoise, Myrickite, Norbergite, Bumblebee Jasper, Eclogite, Wulfenite, and Calcite.

I found the questioning about England vs America a bit distracting. It felt like a sales man useing his or her distractions. Asking random question without getting an answer brings me out of a interview feel.

actually it’s fluoride, which is just F- while fluorite is calcium fluoride which has the chemical structure of CaF2
