Turner and Zwingenberger_ a great combination. I listened this song mahy times and Iwill.
This was not recorded in 1978 (that was the first Turner-Zwingenberger collaboration, resultingin the "Let's Boogie Woogie All Night Long" album), but on May 23, 1981, at Joe Turner's homeon the occasion of Turner's 70th birthday.
Heard this on the Radio driving in my car at night around 1984. Boughed the recorder. Loved this since than.
Big Joe GOLD......T.Y. for posting this to my appreciative ears.
Timeless and superb combination...The albums from Big Joe Turner and Axel Zwingenberger are really fantastic!!
Great ! Wonderful !
sublime notre passion le boogie
Man, I like the drums on this one!
fabulous
The picture shows Joe Turner (a pianist), not Big Joe Turner who sings on this video
the best one
First picture shows the pianist Joe Turner who, of course, is NOT Big Joe Turner.
@Bumblebee38 I can agree with that if you put Johan Blohm up there along with mr Zwingenberger too!
Not sure who that first picture is but it sure ain't Big Joe Turner.
It is the pianist Joe Turner.
@hollandziek 22 05 1978 Johnny Otis Engineer Torsten Zwingenberger on drums seems to be a lost tape
@drumminman54 true
when was this recorded!!!
On Joe Turners 70th Birthday Party 1981. Late answer, I know ;-)
Rock solid
This photo looks like Count Basie.
It's the pianist Joe Turner.
I thought Turner was dead. He must be really old because he was around Art Tatum's era 30's 40's...
He is. He passed on November 24, 1985.
MR Miami miagi
Could it be Big Joe Turner before he got really "BIG"? It looks like him!!! The voice is definitely his.
