Switchblade romance I knew this info but never truly realize the power because I hear so much about sales techniques, etc that I been thinking I’m missing. That’s for pointing 14:40 out.
Two things resonated with me: give things away, get your dream customer to test drive your products and find out what your customer wants and how you can provide that with authenticity.
Great video this line "essential part of a sales call is not the close, but building trust, relationships and true understanding of what the client needs are" was the best part of the video.
i've been watching some of the 10 rules videos (those were basically life changing if I could ever realize the wisdom contained in them) and then I hit this video... I must say that I can only hope to someday apply these messages to my everyday life. The fact that this video only has 18,000 views makes me feel like I stumbled into a goldmine. VERY SINCERE, and FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE is what Evan Carmichael has portrayed in his video series. Thank you SO much for sharing your collection.
What Peter Sage said about the art of selling is on point. 90% of a sales conversation should be focused on understanding the potential client by asking skilled questions to uncover their problems deeper than surface level - how it affects them emotionally. Only 10% should be focused on committing the customer to the sale (aka closing). When they trust and like you, they are a lot more open to working with you (buying your product or service). Cheers for sharing Evan!
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and for watching Andrew. :) Yes, customers should know that you are there to solve their problems, to trust and like you and they would likely to buy from you. #BelieveNation #BTA369 Shine
Connecting with the real needs of the people, as well as with what they want, and sincerely guiding them even if it means not selling to them is the best way to be successful in every aspect of life. There is no better richness than making people happy. Great thought of Peter Sage. I loved the whole video, excellent work Evan! Thanks for sharing. My advice is: Don´t sell just for selling, be sure that the buyers are going to genuinely enjoy the product or that the will really benefit with what they are buying. Money doesn´t buy happiness, be happy first knowing that you are actually doing good to the costumers that buy from you. Don´t sell products, sell happiness.
Really enjoyed Peter Sage's segment. As someone starting out in a sales role at a small, new, and growing company, I've found that our best customers so far are those who see the real value in us first, and then "bear with us" through the rest of the selling process. When you first start out, you don't have all the whiz-bang scripts and automated systems that make selling and buying a totally smooth process. That's why, as Peter emphasizes, it's an absolute prerequisite to establish true, organic rapport and so develop a working relationship that allows you some "padding" in the occasionally bumpy ride of a growing business.
Glad you enjoyed it Nate. :) Thanks for sharing your experience, yes, it's all about providing real value and building relationships. Thanks for watching! #BelieveNation #BTA252 Shine
As an Instagram artist trying to get my art to be bought as well as working on my thesis and working on retail I appreciate this compilation so much! I feel like I need to practice writting more than speaking, getting out of obscurity however I can, be genuine and don't offer art I wouldn't buy myself, be genuine with what I'm doing and also read/listen to audiobooks more to expand my thoughts.
This was an eye-opener. I like all of their ideas but I felt Peter Sage genuinely understood the core of it. "Those who focus less on taking and more on contribution spend far less on closing and in overcoming objections" That's powerful because many a time we have to learn and master the scripts in order to handle objections.
Bullshit. I was contributing for free and no money. Then I listened to Dan Lock and it become clear: do not give any value before you are paid. Period.
Love this video!!!! Reminds you that no matter what people think about sales the reality is that everything in life is selling!!!! From business to parental matters it's all selling!! Good stuff Evan
my biggest sales challenge is the prospects not coming (making excuses) when called upon for follow-up session. even when i feel like the presentation was impactful, they stray from the path somewhere when they go back to their homes & again start the cycle of their daily errands & sleep.
I have that same problem, but its normally because you are speaking to the wrong person. So I changed my approach and use the person I am speaking with to get me access to the right person. Ask about their pain and who can affect change.
Completely agreed! Sales is a communication of value. People normally respond negatively to sale and sales people so I love how these entrepreneurs but it.
1. Interrogative sales 2. Let people try your product 3. Make people wanna do business with you by buying great relationships 4. Add value you your customer
I am not very active in commenting, but this compilation is a hit for me. Peter's Sage is my favorite and it also goes with the core doctrine in sales, believing and purchasing your own product brings out authenticity that does help connect and determines people to enjoy us and the benefits of our businesses. Great compilation!
Hey Evan can you upload more videos like this! PLEASEEEEE they really give A LOT of VALUE which is something we all can benefit here, the type of benefit where you can watch somthing over and over again & pick up new things each time you you watch

My advice is you have work hard In the beginning you have to dedicate most of your time learning all aspects of selling. If you don't know what those aspects are don't worry about it. Neither did most of us. But you have to do the work. For me it was the Library for plot points (I'm 43 so not that old I hope) Then reading about ever one I admired, then audio books , Then you tube. If you really want to be great at sales there no way around hard work. Believe me I tried all the short cuts. It doesn't work.
In my 20's I saw Zig Zigler in Orlando... changed my life... actually, he SAVED my life. He sold me on me! Thank you for including him. It made my day!
"I don't need to tell you that she went to the store with me!" Zig Ziglar LMAO Love it. Everything is selling. His daughter successfully connected emotionally. So important in sales.
I love the raw footage of just people sharing there heart and how they have learned from past experiences! Thanks for sharing and continue to allow your Creator to use you and do what you do brother! Maybe we can facetime sometime soon!
Peter Sage's explanation of why what the top sales people did looked exactly like what the average sales people did really help me to understand. I always focused on the first part and the Rapport building and because of that I had less problems with the objection handling later on to close the sale. What I did always seems like whatever one else to get my results consistently will much higher. thanks to Peter I finally understand why- awesome!
Selling myself to be in a politician in my state. Yeah, thats my biggest challenge, but my formula is: Hear +empathize+ add value =Delight the client. In this case the client is the hole state.
I see so many bad products sell well and my product is the best. Thank you for helping my business with people who are willing to take the time and listen.
Transfer of emotions, practising is the only way to improve, also write, identify the selling pt of every item, build relationships, ask questions, sell solutions, use free media make sure people know you, build trust and rapport, everything is selling/everyone is a salesperson. Auth/find needs/rapp/don't be obscure
Zig has always been the person I go to in order to recharge my selling process. As a kid my parents had me reading his books along with Normal Vincent Peale, "You Can if You Think You Can". Some truths never grow old or out of style.
Hey Evan, This was a fantastic video!! I am looking for a career change at the moment into sales but have a lot of transferable skills related to sales which I can apply. After watching this video I can pinpoint where my current skills will work well. Just a quick question though...do you know what the market is like for online sales? Do you have any links or advice on this and for anyone starting in sales?
Being able to break rapport and ask questions more so than actually trying to continuously try to sell instead. Also the fact that sales are about communicating and the better you are of a communicator the better you will be able to sell.
Thank you very much for such a helpful video!! What's most fascinating is how diverse these speakers are, and how each of them sees the world differently. Fight for your vision, and inspire others to follow along with you.
All had great value. I just leveled up my skill set. Thank you and very appreciated. All resonated with me. Enthusiasm and Empathy and sharing great value outside the context of sales to develop a genuine connection with the client is amazing. I love the feeling of creating a recurring consumer.
Listening first. Listening closely what the client needs and his or her concerns. And find the ways to solve his or her problems with your product or service.
Great video Evan. It is full of great take aways but the best part of the video for me was Grant Cordone talking about obscurity and how that is the biggest problem for most businesses. Thanks again for the great video series.
Sales is creating a safe space for people to go through the uncomfortable spaces they need to in order to change their situation, understanding the problems/breakdowns they are dealing with & empowering them to make a change.
Thanks for posting and sharing this...Loved Peter Sage talking about how the top sales people of the world go through the same steps as the average sales people of the world but spend more time in step 1 building rapport (TRUST) - as a Sales Manager - I teach this exact same philosophy to my sales staff!
Awesome and insightful. Evan, you have no idea how far your videos is going and the lives its transforming. Sending you my deepest appreciation from Ghana Africa. Keep up the great work.

When ever he said have authentic connections with people stop trying to close sales ask questions rather than assuming if the consumer really needs that product major stuff 👌🏽👌🏽
Asking questions is always the best way to approach sales. We have to identify the prospect's interests and needs, and not 'assume' we know what they want. Thanks for highlighting that key point. #BTA265 GT :)
Thank you Evans, my current sales challenge is to increase my Calling frecuency while keeping good notes, researching them before the call and track of my interactions with the customers as well as the responses. I should be calling 20 new customers an hour but I call 7 to 10 of them and since is a numbers game it should be have high calls volume but I can't achieve it.
@@EvanCarmichael because it takes too long to do all the research and pass the gate keeper, there has to be a better way I don't know maybe marketing and get them to call
It has to be Zig. Many of us do not recognize the fact that every single day, moment even, we are selling some service or the other to loved ones, to bosses, to our own selves. We pay the least attention to being aware of it. If there is earnestness and intention to sell whatever we have/do with all our heart, then there is no effort required to sell at all. The trust is already built, and this is all visible on the face and in the gait of the seller.
Great video, this showed me how genuine the man who is currently training me is. I thank you as well for this information. Keep up the good work brother.
This is still relevant in 2022, thanks much. My biggest challenge is overcoming the stigma attached to selling but Zig Ziglar said it best, "Everything is about selling. "
Wow... those folks can get so excited about their product and what they have they completely overlooked what the customer wants, in a sense. If you listen to the customer you can then relate how your product actually fits their needs a little better. Providing it actually does
Hi Evan, thank you for this great video. Such great content. What really spoke to me what the authenticity piece and I think that is what has been slowing down my sales. I can get so much focused on selling that I'm forgetting why I'm selling which is to transform people's lives. When looking back all my great sales happened when I was authentic and creating rapport with my clients without anything in the back of my mind...so thank you again for this great reminder!
Start asking questions and find out what your customers need ; start building trust , make yourself known , show them your references and qualities but most important is to identify the needs of your client and try to do your best to fulfil those needs in finding them what they want and what they need in order to be satisfied . Customer Satisfaction is when the sales person and the product exceeds the expectations . That’s the best closing of a sale .
Tim Ferris -ads, keep a record -study ads jordan Belfort -loves how he's able to transfer the selling energy Brain Tracy -I've listened to his audio tapes for years. -he made me believe Guy Kawasaki -I loved how he was super knowledgeable in the corporate world -suck down! Towards the end, after Eben Pagan, I loved how everyone's tone was you have to believe. You can't sell something if you don't believe in it.
My biggest struggles with sales is one rejection, I can handle face to face rejection. I did direct marketing door to door and saling in stores. Absolutely no problem getting my no's but for some reason I can't seem to muster up the courage to make the required phone calls i need. Phone sales is a great weakness. I never like talking in the phone in the first place now I need it in order to make my business a success. My other pain stake about phone sales is that I don't know the right opening questions to ask so that I know that I atleast prequalified them so I can get the right feedback.

Amazing video...I learn the one rule, for the sale to go up, don't just sell first understanding customer needs, you have to connect with you customers.
I am trying to sell myself right now what I need to do outside of my job to sell. Currently I sell finance and insurance in the automotive industry. I want to sell something that is meaningful and makes me feel good. I need help figuring out what that may be. Grant Cardone is one of my favorites. And you are also Evan. You guys are all truly inspiring.
Though I learned something from every speaker I would have to say, Peter Sage- By a landslide. I have just acquired a small local publication and I will have to join the sales team in selling our advertising, in fact, I'm going to have to lead the team. Evan Carmicheal, do you think financing, Mergers, persuasion, cool caling, and motivation are all subcategories of selling and if so do you think that the strategies laid out in your video would work if i were trying to buy a company, get money from a bank or investor, or motivate a customer base?

Great video, it's so true, everyone is selling something and to be the best entrepreneur you need to work on being an effective salesperson who provides value
Focus on building a relationship before starting the sale. I beleive Peter Sage mentioned it in his video. With everyone in a rush, it is a lost art to build relationships to find out about clients. Once you build relationships, you build trust and then support for your product or service.
"Mad Men", the TV show, taught me that selling is about happiness. And what is happiness? It's the smell of a new car, it's the freedom of fear, it's the billboard on the side of the road that screams with reassurance that whatever you're doing, you're going to be okay. Okay, the show is set in the 60's, but I suppose this still counts in 2021.

Ive followwd these ethical concepts for years..this year no.1 in my company for sales 3 months in a row..plus I had a week off this month..still won best sales figures..I have 20 others chasing me. I've worked for this company for just a few months.14.40 ish..best advice..
Thanks for sharing :) #BTA852 Luka
Switchblade romance I knew this info but never truly realize the power because I hear so much about sales techniques, etc that I been thinking I’m missing. That’s for pointing 14:40 out.
Two things resonated with me: give things away, get your dream customer to test drive your products and find out what your customer wants and how you can provide that with authenticity.
Thanks for watching #Believe :) #BTA1494 Veljko
Great video this line "essential part of a sales call is not the close, but building trust, relationships and true understanding of what the client needs are" was the best part of the video.
Glad you enjoyed it :) #BTA1442 Veljko
i've been watching some of the 10 rules videos (those were basically life changing if I could ever realize the wisdom contained in them) and then I hit this video...
+Ryan Gallup Yes! Thanks for sharing your experience, and thanks for the support and encouragement! We do it for you! #BTA131 GT :)
Thanks for the love and thank you for sharing with us, Jaxon. #Believe #BTA967 Luka
Thank you 🥰💛 #Believe - Feb
This was an eye-opener. I like all of their ideas but I felt Peter Sage genuinely understood the core of it. "Those who focus less on taking and more on contribution spend far less on closing and in overcoming objections" That's powerful because many a time we have to learn and master the scripts in order to handle objections.
Glad you are feeling that. 😊 #Believe - Feb
Glad you like it Carrie :) #BTA1117 Luka
my biggest sales challenge is the prospects not coming (making excuses) when called upon for follow-up session. even when i feel like the presentation was impactful, they stray from the path somewhere when they go back to their homes & again start the cycle of their daily errands & sleep.
Thanks for sharing :) #BTA862 Luka
I have that same problem, but its normally because you are speaking to the wrong person. So I changed my approach and use the person I am speaking with to get me access to the right person. Ask about their pain and who can affect change.
"Authenticity and sincere care" from Peter Sage..is the part I enjoyed the most Evan :)
Glad you enjoyed it :) #BTA968 Luka

Completely agreed! Sales is a communication of value. People normally respond negatively to sale and sales people so I love how these entrepreneurs but it.

I am not very active in commenting, but this compilation is a hit for me. Peter's Sage is my favorite and it also goes with the core doctrine in sales, believing and purchasing your own product brings out authenticity that does help connect and determines people to enjoy us and the benefits of our businesses. Great compilation!

Ziz zigler's portion riveted me. I know him to be a mentor of Jim Rohn. My biggest challenge is that i grew up in sales but pursued a creative life in music. However, i've realized that even within music there's a sales component. Im committed to improving.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Richard. Yes, in any industry...sales is always a part. Glad to know you are committed in improving. All the best! :) #BelieveNation #BTA456 Shine

Biggest sales advice I've got, we are in the relationship business now because the gig economy is lonely, so the consultant sales technique is spot on
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching Christina. :) #Believe #BTA513 Shine
Thanks for sharing your thoughts :) #BTA1376 Veljko
14:45 Peter Sage absolutely nailed it...best analogy of sales ever.

Glad to know his explanation helped you to understand Natan. :) All the best to you! Thanks for watching. #BelieveNation #BTA271 Shine
Selling myself to be in a politician in my state. Yeah, thats my biggest challenge, but my formula is: Hear +empathize+ add value =Delight the client. In this case the client is the hole state.

Not surprised to see Guy Kawasaki as the top comment. He stood out to me, too.
+Agape Ya,we have such biz👍
Being able to break rapport and ask questions more so than actually trying to continuously try to sell instead.
Also the fact that sales are about communicating and the better you are of a communicator the better you will be able to sell.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching Grant. :) #BTA329 Shine

Great video Evan. It is full of great take aways but the best part of the video for me was Grant Cordone talking about obscurity and how that is the biggest problem for most businesses. Thanks again for the great video series.

Thanks for posting and sharing this...Loved Peter Sage talking about how the top sales people of the world go through the same steps as the average sales people of the world but spend more time in step 1 building rapport (TRUST) - as a Sales Manager - I teach this exact same philosophy to my sales staff!

I’ve always told people that being the salesperson that i am, i may be great at sales but that’s because i’m a better ‘Person’.

Thank you Evans, my current sales challenge is to increase my Calling frecuency while keeping good notes, researching them before the call and track of my interactions with the customers as well as the responses. Why can't you achieve it? #Believe :) #BTA1602 Veljko
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for watching. 💛😊 #Believe - Dondon

We article
Start asking questions and find out what your customers need ; start building trust , make yourself known , show them your references and qualities but most important is to identify the needs of your client and try to do your best to fulfil those needs in finding them what they want and what they need in order to be satisfied . Customer Satisfaction is when the sales person and the product exceeds the expectations . That’s the best closing of a sale .
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for watching. 😊 #Believe - Feb

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Robert. Perhaps this video will be helpful to you: ruclips.net/video/XHhVXGUwMgM/видео.html Evan will have his next Live Stream on December 28 - Thursday at 11:00am EST: ruclips.net/video/32hx4p6Ryec/видео.html and if you like you could ask him a question via live chat if you watch it live and hopefully he will be able to answer it. Its clear that meeting the need on a consultation base sale is far more effective but the biggest challenge i have is getting to the right person to actually have that discussion with. Evan Carmicheal, do you think financing, Mergers, persuasion, cool caling, and motivation are all subcategories of selling and if so do you think that the strategies laid out in your video would work if i were trying to buy a company, get money from a bank or investor, or motivate a customer base?
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you very much for your question and it would be great if you could post it under the comments of this video #7 Ways - What Topic Should I Cover Next? ruclips.net/video/sXgcP79xrNQ/видео.html so Evan might be able to answer it doing a #7Ways video for it or in another video especially if more people will vote or like your question. Focus on building a relationship before starting the sale. I beleive Peter Sage mentioned it in his video. With everyone in a rush, it is a lost art to build relationships to find out about clients. Once you build relationships, you build trust and then support for your product or service.
Agree. :) Thank you for sharing your thoughts Fredrick and thank you for watching. #BTA167 Shine
