Thanks chad for providing us with free info about guitar. We're thankful.!:)
Honesty and clarity as always. Thanks for the video
Thanks and you're welcome! -Chad
I think that this is a brilliant video. Many thanks. Those of you who are starting - take heed!
As a self-taught musician who has taken various lessons over the years (both in Western rock and Hindustani Classical Music for sitar), I echo the idea of getting a good teacher. I recently took 3 skype lessons (each with different teachers I had found on youtube), and found two of them to be very helpful.
I would encourage people to 'audition' teachers in this way. Go with the one who is most beneficial for you. And be very clear on the arrangement. My schedule could not accommodate regular lessons, but one thing that each of those teachers emphasized was having a practice routine and sticking to it. By the way, I took an in-person lesson with a major RUclips teacher, and found it to be useless. I did not end up even playing guitar, and then we started talking about non-guitar things (I still have the recording of that lesson). He simply repeated what he had said to me in emails. Ridiculous. Love his website, but would never take suggest anyone take any in-person lesson again.
However, you can learn a lot by yourself. Find out what works for you, and be disciplined with yourself.
Good luck.
Thank you so much sir! I learned music theory watching your videos. And I love you so much sir❤️❤️
Thanks chad. This was a good information.

@Isaac Tuscano Being a self taught Musician is great. But you can’t do everything on your own.

Hi there Chad so in your opinion what is considered for you a good teacher and not one that is only for ripping of the student, because views defer .thank you anyway for the free video
A good teacher is anyone you are able to learn from. It differs based on your needs. But if you go to a few lessons and don't feel like you've learned anything, or you feel really confused about what they've taught you, they're prob not a good teacher. Thanks! -Chad
Hi Chad, I am a decent keyboard player and I can play many songs just by listening. Now i want to learn guitar. Do I have enough headstart to learn guitar myself by watching videos just like those which you have posted on your channel? What do you think is the reasonable time I will learn guitar? Do you have any other tips than given in this video? Thanks
Saffron Surge , 1 year back I was same as you were now. But now I am able to play guitar like a moderate guitarist. RUclips and yousician helped me a lot to become a guitarist. At first you need to get some BASIC exercises. Afterwards only you can use the knowledge you have on playing keyboard.
Being a decent keyboard player definitely gives you a head start although the mechanics on guitar are way different. Without working with you personally it's impossible for me to know if watching vids will be enough or if you need to work with a good guitar teacher. You can always start with videos and if you feel like you hit a wall at any point, try and work with a good teacher. As far as a reasonable time to learn that's really hard to say. Everyone learns at a different pace. Again without working with you personally and watching you play I can't really say. Another tip I'd give though is to only work on things that excite you. Don't work on something just because you think you should. You'll learn a lot faster if you love what you're working on. Thanks! -Chad
Move Forward Guitar thank you. I'll initially try to play the songs which fascinate me the most
David Arputharaj A 👍
