Finally someone who mentions the key words “up to” and defines the difference between lab claims and real word claims. With that said CSL and Exo have a nice application. CSL is ok by itself but Exo is the icing on the cake.
I put the Crystal Serum light on my 8 year old car and it's so nice. Sure it took me 4 days to paint correct it, but this will lock in that shine for a long time. When my new car arrives in a month or two I plan on CSL with 2 coats of EXOv4 on the top for the ultimate look and protection. Thanks for such a great lineup of products that are available to the general public
I am considering either the Light or the Ultra for my Challenger. It is a 2019 with only 1,100 miles on it. It gets driven a few months a year as MI weather can suck. It stays under a cover in the garage when not being driven. Is it worth paying an additional $800 for the Ultra under these circumstances??
What product or product stack would you use on headlight restorations and why? How long would you expect the coating to last (seems the heat generated by headlamp impacts longevity).
I can’t even color inside of lines, I have no interest in applying anything myself, I’m all thumbs. So I paid a well reputable professional for the Gtechniq Light, and afterwards I was bummed out that I didn’t just go with the Ultra. Should have just gone with the best.
C1 is a base that offers a degree of scratch resistance and can be topped with a simple C2v3 or to give durability to EXOv4. If you you are planing to use CSL then you need not apply C1, whether you choose to use EXOv4 or not. So it's 1, C2v3, or 2, EXOv4, or 3, C1 topped with C2v3, or 4, C1 topped with EXOv4, or 5, CSL With any of these you can use C2v3 as a top up protection which will aid the durability of the other coatings or as a drying aid.
Hello.I am entering the car detailing world and want to start a new venture. Can you please suggest me with which brand should i be associated with? Asking this because people in my country are marketing their detailing business by showing the brand they use. I have picked a few. G Techniq/ Modesta/ Nasiol/Feynlab/ColornDrive. Let me know if there are any others.
No way man. It seems ALL ceramics need to be handled with white gloves after application and this babying and maintenance process lasts the entire time. Lol. You’d think that it would be a simple application and don’t do jack for 5 years because “ceramic coated” but nope…. I feel an organic tree wax will last the same 5 years if you constantly reapply a topper. 🤦🏻♂️
To be honest, probably not. I’ve been using ceramics since they come out. What many people forget is that as soon as you get a scratch and they do happen, when you buff it out, you have to reapply. So unless your car sits in a garage and won’t be out at all, it’s not realistic that you won’t get a scratch. That’s why I stopped spending thousands on installer ceramics. I get csl and exo and do it myself
I have cquartz UK ready to apply but I want a top layer. Carpros gliss doesn't have as good reviews as exo and is about 50% more expensive. Can I use exo over cquartz uk?
boof gaming I literally just did this on our van and it seemed to work perfect! I waited a full 24 hours to apply it over CQUK. Love both brands but have never loved Gliss quite as much as the rest of the line.
As a Former Gtechniq Installer, CSL is not slick and loses it Hydrophobic properties real fast and needs EXO as a top coat for that slickness and nice Hydrophobic protection.
@@gambietti on the instructions it says to wait for 12 hours after the CSL application for the application of EXO, and 1-2 hours if you're using EXO as a standalone coating.

Yes. I'm late to the party
Do the guys at Gtechniq ceramic coat their legs? They’re incredibly glossy and moisturized. Amazing.
Wow guys! It’s amazing how thing’s have changed in just 1 year of time !!
Best in the biz. Love their stuff. Wish they had a larger product line.
What more do you want in the product line?

Nice choice!
Glad you’re happy with it. Thanks for sharing
We missed one and it's the exact information I'm looking for. How to choose between CSL or C1 Crystal lacquer.
It looks like C1 sits between CSL and EXO.
C1 not quite as durable / long lasting. It seems that it should be showcased though.
Can you use p&s beadmaker as maintenance?
as a mobile detailer. can this be installed outdoor?
Would this be a good product to use on my Ford bronco soft top and if so which ones. Thank you
Great video and very informative!
Matt does Exo on top of light.

Damn. No response for a year…? Nice. 😒🤨🤦🏻♂️
I've used Gtechniq products for many years on my customers and my own cars, csl light would be my answer
Gtechniq platinum + Exo coating or Crystal Serum light and Exo x2 coating? which option is better?
What about the C1 coating?
What is the cure time CSL, EXO combo.
great question, too bad they don’t answer
They say usually an hour between coats. They say one coat normally of CSL then you can do two coats of EXO after.
I believe they state in the GTechniq video on using the 2 together and I want to say its 12 hours to full cure.
I can’t even color inside of lines, I have no interest in applying anything myself, I’m all thumbs. So I paid a well reputable professional for the Gtechniq Light, and afterwards I was bummed out that I didn’t just go with the Ultra. Should have just gone with the best.
Red box on top of white or black.. how does C1 crystal lacquer stack. can you apply in in between white and red or does red go on top of C1 ??

If you you are planing to use CSL then you need not apply C1, whether you choose to use EXOv4 or not.

5, CSL

Yvan LaCroix advises against this. Instead, advertise your business.
The question is: Will it last 9 years without any product on top? Naturally with good Maintenance & decon washes.

Certainly will, but fir ultimate wet look put exov4 over csl

boof gaming gliss V2 is much better than the first version. Carpro fixed the issues with it.
Yes you can.

How does the Gtechniq platinum compare to CSL, Exo and Crystal Serum Ultra?

Is it ok to put CSL on plastic trim?
@@Mac3150 Yes you can but CSL is not very Hydrophobic. Different types of plastic trim will look better with a coating and some will not.
Can you put csl on glass, trim and rims?

I think u can
Glass they gave g1 and wheels and trim they usually say c1 I believe.
Yes I put it on paintwork, wheels glass and trim
