No matter how this race turns out, Kirsten Neuschafer has already won in my book!!! She let it all hang out and made that boat fly!!! Hat's off to all involved, but especially Kirsten!! Well Done!
What an unbelievably powerful and moving clip... Many won't grasp how modern technology has allowed us to share this, kirsten is literally still out of breath from the effort and adrenaline of what she did, bravo Kirsten.... Go and show us all how to be a true seaman. (sea lady)
Great team work. Let's thank them: - GGR crisis team - South Africa MRCC - Abilash willing to join in - and the final rescuers Kirsten - and the DARYA GAYATRI crew. Tapio’s last salute to Asteria sounded so sad.
Kristen you are an amazing lady and no matter where in the race you finish we all have huge amounts of admiration for you and your the GGR winner in our eyes
@@laurentbrochard6949 Ok for me is a legend now, and yes is too young for made several routes to Antartic ocean as "Pelagic" skipper for naming you part of her work. For you will be when you consider.
Good thing that Kirsten keeps a bottle of rum on board for emergencies. Yo ho Kirsten? Been waiting for news of the rescue. Great work , Kirsten and everyone .
Rescue runs are part of the race. She will still be in the race and will be awarded credit in hours/days to compensate for the time she spent for the task. I don't know if it's calculated before or after finish.
@@sucapizda no its not reported to have. They'd be quite difficult boats to split in half in general due to the design. But the sounds of it it went down stern first very quickly. The bows are very reinforced but not really expected to have collisions or issues at the stern. Seems they don't know why it went down yet. Tapio woke up to it taking on water fast and only had 5 minutes to get into survival suit and out into the raft and watched it go down. They arent that long either so you don't get the buv pressure differences that can cause to split just due to the fact its sinking

@@firo172 ok that’s cool!! I like that rule. Do you think Tapios boat broke in half?

I was intrigued, Bravo Zulu? Google helped me out here, "Well Done" with regard actions, operations or performance. I like that, I'll be using it ...
A bit deaf that guy.
