    iv watched this movie. it is so sad. our country lived through that war. we can live through anything. we only had busan left at one time. we had no where to go except for the sea.. Japan were against us, but we managed to work our way out. We survived, and what is there today, we have to thank those soldiers who fought in the war.

    I absolutely agree with your thoughts on the war's cruelty in robbing the very innocence of the most innocent child. Violence sometimes seems to be generated by violence, at some level, independent from the human individuals on account of very ahuman or inhuman aspects of the system of violence.

    Yeah I agree with you. My dad told me that so many horrible things happened during the Korean War. The Vietnam war was more publicized because the reporters were actually there to take photos. That was one factor why we lost in the Vietnam war cuz public support or morale was very low for the war. It's just sad. war is just terrible in general. I'm not going to watch Taeguki cuz I know it'll be too sad to watch.

    And then, General MacArthur, who still remembered as savior of SK to SK people, regained Seoul by Incheon landing operation. Then, with UN army, SK army went up to NK region. And when they reached close to NK-China border, China invaded and again, Seoul(Capital of SK) was lost. And about 2 years of a brush-fire war, at last, ceasefire was declared.

    good scene.

    I think Korean War is one of the dramatic war ever. When NK army invaded, President of SK escaped but kept saying 'we are successfully defending Seoul' but it was simply bullshit. And few month later, SK army almost defeated and there's only one city left - Pusan. It was the city that placed on the most edge part of peninsula.

    Very nice idea! Touching song for a touching film. Must have been devastating for the South Korean soldiers after China backed up the North. Maybe someday the DMZ can be used for streets and as farmland again. Germany is reunited again, why shouldn`t it be possible for Korea. Somewhen.

    The Korean war is the warfare where the historically most union nation participates.And until currently is a warfare of the armistice which does not conclude. The mental power of warfares in period of old duration and Koreans who exist from opposition is top.Peace earnest desire of Koreans is very meaning which has become truth.

  • @pinkladywalking
    @pinkladywalking 15 лет назад +1

    I've heard that the Korean war was much more cruel than thought because at that time the photos and reports on the Korean War were not publicized in the Western world and the other countries; that's why the war was extremely terrible. As for the Vietnamese war, numerous photos and reports from Vietnam somehow contributed to the anti-war movements and the civil rights movements in the U.S. and the other countries. Where can I find the truth and the possibility of reparation for the victims?

    @pyh021 It's so ridiculous to blame one nationality for a war of lofty political ideas... There were Koreans, Chinese, Russians, Americans, Brits, Australians, Kiwis, Canucks, Greeks, French, Turks, Thai, Japanese, Filipinos, Swedes, Dutch and MORE involved.... and even then.... blaming a nationality is blaming it's people not it's government... I bet the average Chinese would have opposed the intervention

    To PA65000, China cannot 'pull out'. If you pull out, than who will replace US as the buyers of China made goods? No buyers for Chinese goods means Chinese factory closing which means unemployed Chinese factory workers.

    korea and china didn't always have a good relationship. Sui dynasty, Tang dynasty, etc., each went to war against Korea and never won.
