    You must have repaired 10,000 transmissions, I think you could do this blindfolded. Impressive to see.

    The transfer case is held on with super-light alloy bolts on these in F150s. Never seen anything like it. Can’t save but 8 oz over the 6 bolts versus steel bolts.

    Sorry for bothering you I have an F-150 2018 10r80 transmission we hook the laptop up to it it said shifting solenoid stuck off auto parts store said they couldn't sell us one went to Ford dealer they couldn't sell us one so I bought a new valve body replaced it myself put it in me and my wife hooked the laptop up and said excessively installed but it still says stuck off in third gear and still will not properly shift do you have any ideas again I am sorry for bothering you if you could please give me a message and you might know what's wrong with it the Ford dealer won't tell me

    I just had the entire transmission assembly replaced under warranty in my 2020 F150. The original unit lasted a whopping 26,000 miles. These transmissions aren't goofy. They're garbage.

    Wow! That is impressive. You definitely know what you are doing. I would really appreciate your advice. I’ve got 2018 Expedition with around 95K miles on it. It drove like a dream with no shifting issues. However I went for a recall not related to the tranny. They reflashed the engine and transmission, pulled it out of shop and gave it to me. No teaching of the transmission or anything. After that I realized that it has now slightly hard shifting from 3 to 5. Also sometimes downshifting issues if I slow down fast. Dealer has awful service and states it’s not their fault. Is there anything you could recommend me? A teaching procedure or maybe there is another reason? Thank you so much in advance!

      I bet your issue is resolved by now, has it? I'm 'retraining' mine, and I believe it needs to fully warm up before it starts 'learning'. If anyone can confirm this that would be great. Mine has started taking up to 4-5 min on the first drive of the day, before it will go into gear and drive without obviously slipping.

    • @oleksandrartamoshkin2433
      @oleksandrartamoshkin2433 2 года назад

      @@noimagination99 yes, I did by putting a new transmission, unfortunately. my advice - do not feed yourself with false hopes. now I know if t works correctly you basically don't feel how it learns, warms up or whatsoever.

    • @oleksandrartamoshkin2433
      @oleksandrartamoshkin2433 2 года назад +1

      @@noimagination99 the problem is that if the transmission is worn out, it won't learn properly to a proper level. so it is better to not reset tables on these when you put some miles already...

      Take it back to the dealer and have them reprogram the pcm/tcm again. It'll revert it back to the old software and more than likely fix your problem. I am a Ford tech, and we've had customers experience shudder from the trans after getting the cam phaser pcm reprogramming done, and it's due to the software updates from the recall

    I'm still planning to bring my 2019 in when I can this fall. Research shows people are still very stingy on their "secret sauce" to getting these to last with added power. It's sad mine only made it 6,500 miles on 600whp before it started slipping in 6th.
