Thank you for understanding this. 265/274 videos on my channel are how tos on how you grow plants. But these shitty people have to be stopped. Nothing else is working. Hopefully we can get the attention of the proper authorities in Texas
I love this style of video. I’m so scared to order plants online that I’ve only ordered from 2 sellers ever - and I only started ordering from them when I found out they’re both located within 30 minutes of me. These dirtbags need to be called out and held responsible.
@@monas.6839 same here! I only order from places that people I trust recommend!! Otherwise I stick to bigger plant retailers!! (Think Canopy Plant co, not Home Depot lol)
They scammed me! Hopefully this will prevent others from getting taken advantage of.

1000% true everything that was said here. I've been scammed out of $40, thankfully, not more. Sent money, plant never came, no effort to meet up, nothing but excuses on why he's not able to meet until the following week over and over. Asked for payment returned and then radio silence since then (now 3 months later.)

So sad! I bought from their etsy and did local pick up. I bought from their store and pop ups. Then everyone started getting scammed. I am lucky I didn't buy from any of their purges. You covered this very well. 100% facts! WOW I didn't know about the end. CRAZY!!!

Haha this sounded too familiar and I went back in to my emails and I had actually tried to order from them! The guy sent me two very different wild excuses and then issued me a refund. 😆

They would most likely say it’s a civil matter, but one would think the district attorney could get involved.
@@monas.6839Agree. They did take action against a social media influencer for some kind of dieting coach scam earlier this year. Not sure if they were making an example out of her or what but if there’s truly this much money involved then it’s more than the 5-600,00k that influencer scammed. It sounds like this business already has tax problems so maybe they’ll take notice. It always amazes me how brazen some of these people are to continue the grift.

Thank you for putting this together. I was also scammed by this company and after not receiving my order for 7 months I wrote a negative review about my experience. They then proceeded to leave negative 1 star reviews on my personal small business in retaliation. These people have no integrity.
Damn. That’s SOO shitty, but unfortunately doesn’t surprise me at all…

Hey, this might be a crazy question but I have the ugliest white knight in history. I got at a discount at Walmart because it was absolutely gnarly looking and covered in spider mites. I have it bug free now but how would you go about making a wet stick out of a plant that has all the leaves on all the available nodes? I've asked all my plant groups and no one has a good idea. Trim off all the leaves sterilize it and then put it in a prop box? Or All around a bad idea and I should just live with it being ugly? Or do I just cut at all the nodes wait for them to root and then trim off the ugliest leaf after the new pretty leaves come in?
Edit to add: I think I just watched every single one of your propagation videos including the one about pink princess. Prepping my hydrogen peroxide and alcohol now lmao

But seriously, I cannot believe I bought so many plants from them in person. And they gave away so many free plants every time I went in, almost doubling the number of plants every time. Hoyas, begonias, aroids.
He always gave me sinister "fake" vibes, very woe-is-me, always something dramatic, so I never got very close with them or offered to help because they just seemed like there was alot more going on behind the scenes that was probably unsavory. Leech vibes.

Interesting!! All the free plants seemed like a flag to me… and the prices were always sooo sooo low
I agree now, but at the time I was propagating a ton of plants and also gave away free babies when people bought from me so I didn't even consider it odd. Many PPUs included baby props as well, so it felt like a prevalent kindness at the time as the community was traditionally big on giving and sharing.
Just crazy how toxic these people were, predating on generosity and one of the *least toxic* hobby communities that exist. Just shameful.

Oh my. As someone who sells plants, this type of content must put you at risk. It doesn’t surprise me that you’d be targeted but wow, it’s a bummer that you were (with fake negative reviews).
I have heard that new buyers are now hyper concerned about being scammed and are treating all sellers like scammers and are essentially trying to scam sellers by asking for refunds or discounts that aren’t reasonable. That’s not on people like you at all but definitely a problem worth mentioned as well (and you have so thanks for that too).
I think about this a lot.. the plant buy/sell community definitely needs an overhaul. Feels like lots of avenues to buy have been burned
