Your intelligence, confidence, and poise is inspiring. You articulated exactly how I have been feeling about current events and a practical manner to deal with them. Your content is excellent! Great video, thank you for sharing.
I'm with you regarding the news. I had to limit my intake to protect my mental health. I found myself being angry and sad and I don't like that so I watch news just enough to stay informed but not so much that it consumes my spirit.
I've been in medical treatment for PTSD & depression for about 6 years, and I can tell you that limiting your exposure to what you can manage is a huge huge huge key to your ability to keep functioning... cause it can actually trigger a real episode of depression (which I wouldn't wish on anyone). Also it took my doctors 3 years to actually get me to 'hear them' say exercise is crucial, and then I finally did WHEW I wouldn't turn back for anything. I love that expression you like to use, and would apply it to this saying 'exercise is clutch'. I do it in moderation, but it really truly helps & I luckily have an Iyengar yoga teacher friend who comes to me for a class whenever I need to get back into my body, and rest my head. Have a great weekend!
I was sooo sore the day after my workout 😂, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run.
we’ve been talking about how impactful just walking has been in the group chat. it’s always the little things!

this vlog was so real because it’s so much awful shit going on and…I BEEN SHOPPING TOO 😩
And only getting worse 😩
What works for me is to stay in low/slow energy; eventually it lifts
That’s the part I have to accept that I find difficult… allowing myself to be slow without feeling like I’m not doing enough

Thank you for sharing your journey with me. I'm soooo jealous of your Iyengar teacher friend. That friend is a gem of the highest order 😂
Great vlog. The world is crazy. The sweater you wore to the books and wine is gorgeous. Would sharing a link to a fuller picture?
Thanks! It's a bodysuit from Lulu's (bit.ly/46VZUzS). I'll add the full outfit details to the description box
