I came up with a different ending for The End (And also a different version of The End, but I'll talk about that later😏😉.)
In this alternate ending, after Scratch says goodbye to Molly, and rings the doorbell for Todd to come out, something happens that doesn't come out. Several minutes pass and Scratch begins to get desperate. At this, a neighbor next to Todd's house appears and asks Molly what she is doing here. To which she replies that she is coming to find Todd. However, he tells Molly tragic news. "Todd... is no longer with us..." said the neighbor. "Did he die?" Molly asked. To which he responded... "Yes, he was depressed for so long that he literally took his own life. But, let's be honest... he could have lived a good life, but instead, he did nothing. I wish I had known him better." Hurt, tired and broken, Scratch explodes with anger, that was the only way to reunite with Adia and he left forever. "I have no body, I have no memories, but you... You can enjoy a life of luxury that I gave you while I literally have nothing left" he shouts at Molly on the verge of tears as he sees that his finger begins to darken. Molly tries to reconsider, but it's too late. Scratch opens a portal and seeing himself More terrifyingly, he shouts at Molly "I'M NOT YOUR FRIEND!" and leaves in an unknown direction while that darkness begins to take over his body.
