Yeah, pretty much Alice in chains, Nirvana and the duo of Pearl Jam/Sound Garden basically (I think) founded/exemplify the grunge sound - - what it IS. Sound Garden was around first, I believe.

Its so easy to make a beat, a backing track...you dont need to learn an instrument, computers got your back. Dont have to learn how to sing, autotune has got your back. I know there is some good music being made today, but its harder to find. ANYONE can post music from their bedroom. What will incentivise kids to learn to play music when their heros cant read a note? Strange, strange times were living in...
