@@annahanguiano8931 definitely not a metal band. You might say they had metal elements in their music but they were definitely grunge. And they didn’t have friends in Seattle. They were from Seattle.
@annahanguiano8931 dude, what a wrong take that is shared by no one other than you. How do people speak so confidently on things they clearly know nothing about.
Yeah, pretty much Alice in chains, Nirvana and the duo of Pearl Jam/Sound Garden basically (I think) founded/exemplify the grunge sound - - what it IS. Sound Garden was around first, I believe.
Don't remember the year but I saw three of the big four (Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer) on the Monsters of Rock tour with Alice in Chains opening. They had some big balls to open up for a thrash crowd especially to promote their first record. By the end of their set everyone knew something special was happening with this band. Etched in memory! Keep these compilation reactions coming...AWESOME!!!
Indeed, is funny. I was looking for reactions to the uncensored version, sadly there is almost none reacting to that one. I didn't feel like putting the uncensored overlapped, made me feel like cheating, since they would probably react differently to that version.
Just look at the smiles and joy of all those people 🥰🔥 love to see the profound impact Layne and AIC still have on us nowadays ❤ Layne lives on in our hearts through his music and his incredible voice that he gifted to the world ❤❤❤ happy heavenly birthday Layne 🖤🌟❤️
What an undeniable talent. Layne was one of the greatest vocalists to Grace Rock ‘N Roll. Would definitely love to see more compilations of people reacting to Would, Rooster, Them Bones and Love Hate Love.
Such an awesome song and video and band, i love Alice in Chains!! Incredible job putting this masterpiece together!! RIP Layne Staley and Mike Starr😇💝🌹 Thank You for sharing this awesome video with us!! 😊💓🤘✌️
I was a rap/hip hop guy in the 90's, I learned of walk by pantera and this song here because or E.C.W, R.V.D came out to walk and I'm pretty sure Tommy Dreamer came out to man in the box, I love both of these songs and both bands have lost members. R.I.P Layne, Dime, Vinny and Mike
This song is the meaning of power. Great compilation! Could you do a compilation of Like a Stone from Audioslave? RIP Layne Staley and Chris Cornell! 🤘🏻
Though some great bands playing all the various forms of Rock have come on the scene since 2000, there is no denying that the late 60's thru the 90's was the greatest time to be alive for a rock n roll fan.
Still to this day can't believe they get lumped in with grunge just because they came out from Seattle the same time as the others. They were metal and some of the godfathers of stoner/sludge metal.
I have always put Layne in top ten voices of all time. He was only 23yo in this video. He graced us with so much in his short life, a horribly tragic end that should happen to no one. So many, far to many voices silent from this Era. Just damn.
Who ever creates these should do a video called “crying reactions to Laynes voice” because I have a play list of about 15 people that have cried the first time the heard layne singing! I’ll send you the playlist! I don’t know how to make videos or I would have made one a long time ago.
Grunge years would never be forgotten, it won’t be the same since the passing of Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, and Scott Weiland. RIP Grunge era, you will always be remembered
growing up in the 2000's I would here this all the time on the radio now 90's music only has a 1-2 hours of music time, point is this is from 1990-1992 only 3 albums. 30+ years later and nobody can do this again.
RIP Layne.
AIC sounded nothing like grunge bands, they just happened to be from Seattle. We Die Young & many other songs. The only grunge/alternative band that sounded even close to as heavy as AIC was STP with a few tunes on Core
Grunge music should never been forgotten! It defined an era and a generation!!!
Alice in chains is a metal band tho, never were grunge.but they had friends in Seattle that were in grunge bands

Best era of music 80s and 90s
Yeah, pretty much Alice in chains, Nirvana and the duo of Pearl Jam/Sound Garden basically (I think) founded/exemplify the grunge sound - - what it IS. Sound Garden was around first, I believe.
The grunge era had some of the best voices in the business. Layne, Vedder, Cornell, Cobain...dang I miss that era.
I also love Scott’s voice from STP🤘
And Andrew Wood from Mother Love Bone as well.
what a fucking voice man, we all need to make sure this song continues getting remembered.
Layne Staley definitel was one of the best rock singers ever, him and Jerry together were perfect.
For me he was the best.
No one can replicate his voice, same with Chris Cornell. You can sing the same songs but no one can do it their way
RIP Layne Staley. Those vocals are LEGENDARY!! He has the BEST control over his bravado
Layne had some of the best if not the best vocals of the 90's, may you rest in Peace you legend.
Layne’s vocals+Jerry’s riffs/solos are second to none.
The world lost one of the best voices ever when Layne passed. May he rest in peace.
My favorite band of all time right here. Perfection. ❤️
AGREED THEY ARE LITERAL PERFECTION 💗💗💗💗💗💗

Gen X here..i stopped in my tracks when this debuted on MTV ..fan since day 1
great comp. Elizabeth’s reaction of the end was hilarious! this is such a classic. was hoping to do this one, but I do have another of theirs in mind.
Hey, thank you so much, Shotaholic. Hope to see your comp in the near future.
@@DamianGDO working on it. just got a lot going on IRL lately.
hope you have a great holiday weekend.
@@shotaholic1 Thanks a lot, have a great weekend too.
You’re spoiled for choice man. Rooster, Them Bones, Would, Down in a Hole.
Hearing Layne sing with his other band Mad Season completely destroys me every single time! 💔😭🤘🏼❤️♾️
I love how everyone reactions to a song about censorship is listening to the censored version 😂

One of THE BEST vocalist. EVER! ❤
amazing, thank you for this, people gotta know about aic songs all over the world

You did an amazing job cutting this altogether. I love watching reactions to this band, and this was a lot of fun. Thank you!
Thank you for this video.
Uninterrupted.
Multi-reactors.
I appreciate the work that must go into these compilation videos.

love aic so much. definitely in my top 3 favorites all time
GenX representing 🙌 🤘
This song was the unofficial first grunge song released. Set the bar high
My favorite of the grunge era, Layne's wail is epic and gave Alice In Chains a more unique sound to me. I miss this man, tragic end to his life.
This is such a time consuming work.hats off to you for the effort
Thank you for making this…I think I’ve watched every one of these reactions!
Really good job on the compilation!
When I heard this song for the first time, I knew at that moment that AIC would be my favorite band. RIP Layne & Mike.
I was clled up on stage to do yhe background vocals. Guy was so talented. Powerful.
My favorite part will always be Layne and Jerry's harmonies on the line "He who tries". It's amazing
Awesome comp bro...
Waiting for the next one 🔥
This song is the meaning of power. Great compilation!
Could you do a compilation of Like a Stone from Audioslave?
RIP Layne Staley and Chris Cornell! 🤘🏻
Thanks for the recommendation!
RIP both of them
Awesome vid bro, awesome song to so good to see people get the same reaction now as i did when it first came out

Banger of a song. Rest in peace, Layne Staley.
I didn’t accept grunge at first but it grew on me in the 90’s
Still to this day can't believe they get lumped in with grunge just because they came out from Seattle the same time as the others. They were metal and some of the godfathers of stoner/sludge metal.
GRUNGE IMMORTAL ALICE IN CHAINS GREAT GROUP THE VOICE AMAZING.......
Brings back a lot of memories. Think this was first cassette tape.
Great job man, how about a "Alice in Chains - Would?" multi reaction?
I will consider it. Thank you!

Im a (GenX) stay at home mom, at the end of the day, ALICE IN CHAINS!!!
Absolutely love Alice In Chains ❤
Saw Them in 92 with Ozzy...you could feel him in your soul..
You know it’s special when it gives Brad a shit eating grin.
Lol good call
Alice In Chains was a genre of their own
Laynes voice was just unbelievable..
Layne Staley folks. Legendary voice. RIP

Layne Cobain Cornell not just grunge legends but rock legends! gone before their time so sad and tragic
Grunge years would never be forgotten, it won’t be the same since the passing of Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, and Scott Weiland.
RIP Grunge era, you will always be remembered
Layne Staley and Chris Cornell are stellar.
Hard to believe there are people who've never heard them.
The absolute GOAT-Layne Thomas Staley

RIP 💔😭🤘🏼❤♾️
Poor Layne, alienated to the point that he was dead in his apartment for 2 weeks before anyone even found him. Such a unique voice.
Rest in peace the greatest ever Layne and Mike 🙏
i like this video thank you

Bring the 90s back!!!!!!!
I never saw Alice as a grunge band, I always thought they were closer to hard rock. The reason, jerry Cantrell.
Me being from Washington State you are welcome for the Seattle grunge
I was in a band that used to do a cover of this, as the singer I can tell you that chorus was very hard to do, it's as difficult as it sounds
Mike Star, Layne Staley, always with us.
Heroins a hell of a drug: fentanyl/ hold my beer
I miss grunge rock from the 90s, so freaking good
Layne was such a fucking monster!
Fui un fanático del heavy metal hasta que escuché Alice in Chains en los 90s...la banda grunge mas metalera que jamás existió 🤘
R.I.P Layne S. he born to sing
Obra de arte magnifica
Es el tema número uno en la historia del Grunche... saludos a de Lima Perú
There’s a hellraiser parody of this song and I SWEAR TO GOD the vocalist sounds EXACTLY like Layne!! It’s fucking incredible!!
R.I.P. Lanye
watching Mr Video Jam out at 4:30 made my soul happy
actors without oscar 😂

AIC rules. RIP LS.
"Its Metal not grunge"
Bruce Dickinson
Why are they not in the Hall of Fame
good question
Dude if you're going to do reaction comp please do the uncut
Every single strip club in the 90’s played this song! RIP Layne❤❤❤
What about the other singer. Cantrell?
You should do Black by Pearl Jam
I miss the music video style of that time. I wish it could come back and just curb stomp all of the over polished, generic videos of today.

Jesusssssssssss Christ❤❤❤❤
Layne Staley The lone wolf.
You think that was good, listen to love, hate, love! The live version
Long live grunge
Great compilation but I would never put Mr video in anything he likes to overact for the camera for every reaction he does
He can't help how feels man. If he loves it that's all that matters.
Alice In Chains 🤘🫨🤘
😢😢LAYNE STALEY WAS THE BEST,LISTEN TO DOWN IN A HOLE
Mommy when dinner
I prefer Alice in chains over Nirvana
And this is how/why grunde killed hair bands
It’s 2024 can’t we say shit?
The censored version of this song was released 14 years ago
I wanna participate in this video , FEED MI EYES
Edited version, really?
It’s the music video, so it is censored
Never heard of AiC... right... and you are an American in your 30's 😕😯
