Originally when I heard the plot that was where I thought they were heading with it. I think it would have been more believable, but will still watch.

@@donnellcoleman7784: If you're talking about "The Hammer" (she had 2 Lifetime movies), I thought that woulda made a great TV series---there was never-ending episode potential, and directions it could be taken, IMO; both, in courtroom cases, and the judge's, and other characters', personal life (ves).

I'm ready for this one as I got geeked about it as soon as I heard Melissa Peterman was going to be on it. I don't think a Reba revival was possible anyways, so this is pretty close. The younger sister seems funny in it too. I'm geeked for it and Lopez is on behind it too.

Shame I won't get to see Reba in concert anytime soon though, unless somehow she's able to juggle both The Voice and a tour but I'm not sure. It's not impossible, just difficult I imagine. Just havent seen her since 2016, and would love to again.

I wouldn't call them "leads", on this new show, but, yes, the blonde woman was Sheldon's next-door neighbor, and the male cook was Sheldon's high school principal (and also Reba's real-life boyfriend).
I read Reba was trying hard for a Reba reboot but i guess she couldn't get it going. To bad I would love that.
I think the problem, thus far, has been scheduling. All of the adult cast members of the "Reba" show, have been constantly working, and stuff---like, Joanna Steve, and Melissa have all had their own shows---and Joanna has a product line (I can't remember what; skin care, or something, I think); so, getting everybody together, has been a feat !!!

It's possible if one of them was still getting around at their age like her father. There's still a lot of dudes in their 60s and 70s having children with younger women.

Yeah, I would rather have seen Barbra-Jean as Reba's half-sister, but I'm gonna give it a chance.
I loved Reba’s original show and cast. Looks like they’re putting too many minorities in this one --- a Black, 2 Hispanics, and an Injun. Sadly, that is the post-George Floyd America we live in. I will still watch, but I miss the good old days.

Well, I can't remember if they have the same writers, but Reba said they have the same show runner, and 2 of the same producers, I think.
I hate to admit it, but I was thinking "woke", too---but, I'll give it, a try!! My guess is that they're gonna put it on, right before or after The Voice, to give it a good shot---but, if they put it on Monday, at 10, it won't last; if they move The Voice back to 9pm, on Tuesday, and put it on at 8 : 30, it might have a shot.
I hope this is better than the original. The first go round was too silly stupid. I hope the writing in this has more depth of character and not just one liners. Love Reba hoping for the best !
