So I'm working in my shed packing items that will be going out tomorrow. The weather is nice so I have the double doors of the shed open - I have a screen with magnetic strip opening in the doorway - to let in the sunlight. I'm listening to this video over my stereo speakers. My 21 year old walks up and says are you packing and watching someone else pack? We as resellers work together!

Love the shipping videos! Keep your eye on places like Staples when they have box sales. Sometimes you can get odd sizes at discount prices. I got some 6x6x48 boxes for 80 cents each (CAD). They're easy to cut to whatever height you need, and you can get lots of boxes from each one.
Glad you guys got some great inventory from guy again. The relationship with him reminds me of Mr. Wilson from Home Improvement, where he never showed his face🤣🤣
Oh thank god I'm not the only inefficient person who packs an item then prints and attaches that label. The best part about it is *knock on wood* I've never mixed up packages.

Stone Globe: when you were handling it, it looked like the globe was held in place with a thumbscrew on the top frame. Did the globe separate easily from the frame, to allow the globe to be packed off the stand?

We bought my son the Bat Cave and some of the other toys in that line many many years ago. He is 16 now. I don't know if we still have it, but if so I am going to try and list it if it's worth it.
Cook Book Pack: on a rigid item, like the cookbook, I don’t even bother to score a box in that size range. After slitting up the 4 corners, I just use the hard edges of the book itself to make the folds. I push the item against the box, against each side and make the fold, doing the 2 short sides first, followed by the 2 long and call it done.
Works the same for any rigid retail box that needs no bubble wrap inside the shipping box. The retail packaging box makes a perfect guide. If it’s going to get a layer of bubble, then I do score the box folds, since the bubble adds extra size and the edge is no longer firm enough to free fold it. 😉😉
Yes, Ground Advantage is getting more and more of my medium size packs. Now I just wish USPS would loose the triangular Priority Box over length surcharge!
With the manilla bubble mailers of you push in the sides a bit about a quarter of the way up it makes it far easier to get some items in.

Check the year of those Imaginext toys too. Some of them have been sold in different packaging for close to 10 years now. My son was a big fan when he was young and that's got to be 10 years ago at least. I've seen them go through several different branding variations.
I would play into the UK version and make the listing revolve around it as a highlight and list it higher and accept offers. People like different and you can always lower it.

I just wrap those big boot boxes in polymailer material. Keeps the shipping cost down for the buyer. I state in my listings that is how they are being shipped.
That's an acceptable method for sure. On something that big and heavy the shipping saving are negligible using a properly dimensioned box vs. a poly imo. Much easier and faster though and time is money.

If you'd like to cheat on dimensional math you can just use 36" total. A cube foot is 12"x12"x12". If you just add those up to 36" it makes the math easier.
Yeh I think you are probably right that 36" total dimensions can't really be over a cubic foot. But if you are trying to find out that actual volume to get under some cubic shipping limit, you'll want to actual multiply the dimensions. Because 12x12x12=1728 cu in, while 20x8x8= 1280 cu in. Still under a cubic foot, but not the same volume even though they both total to 36.
Clay Face Comp: looked like there was a Listed Comp with the same packaging, on the first page you showed for $133.74, but no sold listings with the UK packaging. Good catch to spot how your variants were different. 😉😉

I always think I over pack but watching you do such a great job reminds me that one can never over pack. Do you write "Do not bend" on your padded envelopes? I forgot to once and the mail person folded over some expensive comics.

My kinda guy: male, breathing, self-propelled, decent hygiene. (LOL) The collectible toys mean this Guy is probably too young for me by a LOT, but a gal can look, right? As for packaging - always pack as though your item will be used to play Football (either USAian or everybody else's) because any given postal service is likely to do just that if you don't. Others say to pack for nuclear war, which is also accurate. Lonnie is a lot more trusting of the USPS than I am; I'd have double-boxed that globe. As for Dimm weight, I used to call it Dimwit weight shipping.
for your paper - why don't you do a piece of wood with a pipe on it - kind of like a paper towel holder, but bigger and stronger - that way it can sit on your table like you have it but also be moved when you want your table space.

Hello! Can you give us an update on your photo camera you sent back to the company for repairs? Any estimates yet? And, as you’re walking around, I saw a fairly nice on “6B”, was there a reason you couldn’t use that for listing photos?
Camera has been repaired and is on its way back. I’m not sure what you are referring to on 6B

Hey it's Lonnie - that's a Canon Rebel T5, and i t does work fine. We don't like it for product photography because it's live shooting mode is pretty terrible (where the preview is on the back screen) and crouching down to look through the viewfinder kinda sucks. Probably should just sell that camera.

For me.. and this is just my thought and how I would price that UK toy.... I would list it as "RARE UK VERSION" and price it above the highest sold .. with offers on.. Then I'd jump on that $80 bill, lol
