This answered so many of my queries re crumb quilting! I had tried it and was getting so confused about this/that and the other. This helped me greatly! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful, Heddy!
After a very fun filled day, I get to sit with my hand sewing and I just love your content. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching so faithfully, Brenda! 🥰
I loved, loved the black and white block with the turquoise center and it was hard to see you cut it!!! I love the idea of adding curves to your crumb block. Gotta try that!!! My sensibilities would be having alternating solid colors in the log cabin block and cutting that in half to do an HST with the crumb block. Yay for play!!!
I know what you mean--my heart always stops for a short beat when I cut...😂 Yay for play indeed--make a block your own; have fun!!
This reminds me of the quirky quilt as you go quilt that I’m doing for my daughter using brightly colored Alice in wonderland fat quarters. Love it.
Oooo--that sounds wonderful--Alice in Wonderland kind of colors are my fave!!
Really enjoy watching you work through putting your crumb blocks together!
Thank you! It's pretty free-wheeling...☺
Your planning strategy is very educational and your block has turned out rather well. Thanks.
Thanks very much, Jess; thank you for watching!
Inktense Watercolor Pencils might be a fun way to color up/over some of the crumbs to change their appearance
That's a great idea! And funny you should mention that....a few days ago I suddenly had the idea (maybe your vibes were reaching me???) to create the striped fabric strips that I want, using a permanent pen/marker. I do have some Inktense watercolor pencils, so I might give that a go. Thanks!
You have a great eye!! I absolutely LOVE your process and results!!
Thanks so much, Kelly! 🥰
I love your work! You always inspire me
Thank you, Sheryl! It makes me happy that the videos serve as some inspiration for you; have fun!!!
Awesome ideas, love the way you work around the scraps and contrasting black and white (well….. almost B&W 😃) beautiful block altogether
Thank you, Jayanthi! I love using b&w, especially stripes, with bright colors.
I really like the opening wonky block with the turquoise (blue) square. Looks sharp! It will be interesting to see your finished HSTs.
Thanks, Cindy! "I kind of like" that one, too! 🥰
Love these blocks.
Thanks, Missy! ❤
The black and white stripe might have worked if it had been located at the upper edge so that it would appear as a piece of the bw triangle kind of woven in. But I liked it as you changed it. Such fun playing.
Thanks, Jenedel! You're probably right about the stripe placement, and size/shape could have made a difference, too.
Think I will do this for my Great granddaughter s youth bed. Love it.
Oh, that sounds great, Deanna; I think it could be customized for color preferences of your great granddaughter, too!
Good work thanks
Thanks, Manuela! ❤
I think I like it!!
😂 Thank you, Ann!
So I had some pieced “crumb” blocks that to me were just a mish-mosh-mess…just blah junk so I stared treating them like you do starting with 2-1/2 inch squares only like 8-9 inch squares and voila…something worth doing…
Yay! What a great idea!!
💗💗💗
Thank you! 🥰
🌺👍🙏
Thank you!!
