the 550d has two square exhaust pipes, while this BMW has four round pipes - so it's a 535d not a 550d. I know ist because I have a 550d (touring) which is very funny to drive against Mercedes Limos who don't expect 740 Nm. Especially at the first 250 meters I rip almost every Porsche with ma launch control (lauch control: stay on the break, give the engine about 4000rpm for 3 seconds, then release the breake - like a rocket... :)

@@TGLasers diesel gives you black smoke, blue smoke is oil burning no matter the tuning thats just common knowledge. im not hating on the car i love the 550Ds. plus the turbos on the are known to go bad

You do know that running compound turbos pushing 3.8-4.3 bars you need to add oil to the fuel right? im not talking a stock engine, here we are talking fully forged internals, hybrid turbos, etc.. if you go add a powerbox to a F10 535D and it smokes blue then yeah its shit turbos, But i really dont think you have a clue about what your talking about on cars like this. Turbos are fine.... PS i work as a tuner ;)

This car is from Bulgaria and it's tuned 535d with 430hp. Obviously the M5 did a bad launch.. With good start the M5 is the faster car.. it's going over 330km/h stock... 1/4 mile is not the best discipline for the E60 M5.. On the highway.. the M5 will destroy that diesel :)
V8 diesel woth twin turbos is a torque monster its also probably tuned, compared to a high reving v10 which only makes power at high rpms. Quarter mile m5 has no chance but on the highway its a different story... also is the 550 awd?
+Anatatto I think BMW M550d tuned by VOS...450 maybe 500 hp and 850nm they removed the particulate filter, so he smokes like a chimney 0-100 in 3,9 seconds and top speed over 300 km/h...

how much faster is an m5 f10 vs a M550d from the same generation? is it a big difference? besides the 150hp difference its the same car basically?
