Children of abusive parents develop very different coping skills in order to survive, that they become desensitized to abusive behavior...and then end up selecting abusive spouses as a result. Remember, Bijou's sister actress MacKenzie Phillips thought her 10 year s**xual relationship with their father was "consensual" and actually defended him... until one day she realized she was a victim of a very twisted and selfish person. Bijou most likely cannot *see* her husband's behavior as abusive since abuse was normalized for her throughout her childhood.

The side he shows to the world is kind, jovial, has an amazing sense of humor, and will go out of his way to do countless favors with no expectation to have that favor repaid. He was the favorite uncle of some cousins whose dad left them, acting as the surrogate father. At home to my mother and me, he was a short tempered narcissist who would beat us at the drop of a hat and explode in anger if any of us said the slightest thing that went against what he believed. Much of our family refuses to believe he's the monster we claim him to be. He shouldn't drug and rape women They got life sentence their trust stolen. Kiss your child and wife goodbye after you raped other people's children. I don't care if he blew her a kiss. I don't care that he's been great to you. But think about the other daughters Not just your own.

It’s probably best for his daughter that he not be involved in her upbringing. She could be subjected to his abuse.

This is Bull, How could any person b convicted of something that doesn't have actual evidence, Rape victims r always encouraged to report immediately due to loss of evidence to validate their claim of assault. How can anyone b convicted over "he said, she said" situation, If this is how the legal system now operates, anyone n everyone r in huge trouble if yrs later, someone decide to make a claim against u, just by making a claim n no actual evidence taken from the moment the crime to place.

My heart goes out to Bijou and her daughter; but Danny is a monster and he deserves every bit of what he has coming to him.
