Hey Andrew. Don't know what you're upto these days but hope all is well. I was listening to some Rishloo and your amazing singing stood out as always. Hope you make more music, if things had gone differently I bet you'd have been an icon - you certainly have the talent for it!
I love Rishloo's music because it's incredibly multi-dimensional. There are few bands that can contain so much emotion in one song. I think they are one of the most underrated bands. As a Pole, I also thank them for their tribute to the memory of Zdzisław Beksiński.
I only recently discovered Rishloo and they utterly shattered my perceptions of what makes great music. I've been listening to bands like Karnivool and Tool for a long ass time and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that you have the best vocals and songwriting talent in the industry. Big call. Damn true. Bring back Rishloo
If I were so arrogant as to believe it would further the band, I still wouldn't. Tool comparisons are irrelevant. Rishloo was a project that succeeded as well as it did both because of-and despite-our commitment to it. Are fans better served by artists dragging their careers out with music that doesn't maintain their qualities, principles and character? Rishloo as a "back pocket" project would cheapen the integrity of everything else we made. It's all or nothing.
Amazing. There's something about your soul that comes out in your singing that I identify with and completely appreciate. At times you remind me of Shannon Hoon. (not just the sound of it BUT the PASSION in it) Truly one of the greats IMO.
You have an incredible voice, I hope you see this some day, please sing more for the world, you have so much more to say than notes and words, come to mexico btw:))
I grew up around music, so a lot of it was just doing it casually from a very young age. I did take lessons for several months while (or maybe after?) RISHLOO was working on Feathergun from a fantastic teacher named Susan Carr who taught me basically any legitimate singing skills I have.
holy crap man, from hearing you in rishloo, and hearing you play this, your vocal range is incredible.... you have a weird way of drawing people into the song, words cant really explain it....just amazing
Man, regardless of anything, I have to say is THANK YOU! For your songs and melodies. You're the biggest musical influence I've ever had. And not only mine, but I think a lot of people! Continue in this way please! A hello from a big fan of yours from Brazil!
To Andrew I say this, Who makes it big and who doesn’t sometimes makes zero sense. You are safely in the rarified air of people who have made important music. “Dr. Feelgood” for example, means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things but the music you made does and that counts far more, even though that’s gotta be of little comfort when eyeballing a 20 room mansion or a new Lamborghini that you don’t get to have. The work you did, for those of us with the good taste to recognize important music when we hear it, made the world just a bit brighter and for that I say thanks.🫡
You sound great as usual, Andrew! Actually, you are my favorite vocalist (if we only think about those who lives). I would love to see more of you on this channel!
Please keep singing. You have such a powerful voice. Hope some day you can surprise us with your own material. Meanwhile, keep uploading either covers or original songs. Good luck in whatever path you take.
Heey man , my friend gave me this link on youtube with "in pill form" and then i recalled how much i listened to you guys in highschool , it's been like 4 years i think , i was so sad to hear that you left the band, anyways good luck Andrew :)
My husband, friends, and I, agree that you are a damn good singer AND guitarist. You have the whole package. On the messy side, who doesn't have a messy part of themselves??? Any way, thought of sharing this with you, and to let you know you how extremely talented you are :):):):):)
Hey Drew, sounds good. Still a huge fan of Rishloo, and now looking forward to the new stuff those guys are doing. But I really look forward to new stuff from you too. Keep rockin' man.
Great job, Andrew! I'm a member of a forum that analyzes singers' vocal ranges, and I eventually discovered your music after a friend of mine made a video to document your range. Really amazing stuff, honestly. Feathergun has definitely grown to be one of my favorite albums of all time. I was wondering, though, do you have any other recordings that showcase you doing lower singing? Because as it stands now, this cover has the lowest notes we've ever heard you sing and I'm intrigued to hear more!
No, I don't think I'm done with louder stuff. But I also don't want to limit myself solely to that. I create very erratically, and mess with small pieces of a lot of things before I finish any particular one. I intend to write (and share) some stuff of my own, but it may take decades ;-) hopefully I'm exaggerating.
Just got notice from YT that this vid may contain copyrighted content. I could get sued for putting up this video!?!?! Oy. Entertainment law is absurd. EMI can come talk to me when I'm drawing advertising revenue from all 39 people who've watched this, minus the 6 or so that are probably my views trying to get it all working right. What a crazy idea...
I appreciate your consideration, Corey. I said that when I was feeling pretty shitty, which is generally why it's sensible not to write things on the internet when you feel that way. I am humbled that people enjoy my singing.
Wow this is incredible- have you had vocal training at all? I was wondering how you got to be so good a singer and was wondering if you are naturally gifted at what you do or if you have had to work really hard and with the aid of a teacher to be this good? Many thanks from the U.K.
Hope you're exaggerating too! Only found Rishloo a few months ago, me and my brother were blown away by your vocal diversity. Very cool too see you are still creating, looking forward to hearing where you take your music projects.
Also just seen what you said about only being loved for your voice, didn't mean to jump on that band wagon - but you do deserved to be complimented for your talent.
Andrew, do you have any advice for a new guitar player who has become obsessed with playing and who wants to learn to sing as well, but is incredibly shy?
It just seems like such a shame that a dynamic and inspiring project like Rishloo would be quashed at what appeared to be at the cusp of greatness. Like many fans, I could envision many incredible records for decades to come. Just wasn't meant to be. By no means would I want you to compromise your integrity and I wish you great success in your solo career.
I actually put that all there intentionally to give the background a more realistic feel. Normally I'm OCD to the point of murdering people who wear their shoes in my home.
Because I'm not a very good guitarist? And my apartment is a mess. I think if you all saw the horribly disorganized mundanity that is my lifestyle your computers would explode.
fuck, the world needs to hear more of your vocals, Drew! Here's hoping we get more music from you
Gotta be one of my favourite covers of all time.
We still miss your voice
Andrew has such a beautiful voice.

This is so beautiful. I've loved this song for a long time, and from now on, this is the version I'll be listening to.

Damn can't believe its been almost 8 years since these uploads. Keep doin what you're doin Drew you da man.
such a breathtaking voice :)
Love these covers, Drew! I'd love to hear/see more! :D

>Our anniversary with my girlfriend.
Does that mean I have an anniversary with your girlfriend too? I'm confused!
Amazing. There's something about your soul that comes out in your singing that I identify with and completely appreciate. At times you remind me of Shannon Hoon. (not just the sound of it BUT the PASSION in it) Truly one of the greats IMO.
You give me inspiration for myself to keep heading forward and never give up.
i'll keep waiting your next album. Even if it takes 20 years!
You have an incredible voice, I hope you see this some day, please sing more for the world, you have so much more to say than notes and words, come to mexico btw:))
I'm a big Rishloo fan and I love your voice!
I grew up around music, so a lot of it was just doing it casually from a very young age. I did take lessons for several months while (or maybe after?) RISHLOO was working on Feathergun from a fantastic teacher named Susan Carr who taught me basically any legitimate singing skills I have.
Really nice cover, perfect voice Andrew.
Drew, merci pour cette sublime interprétation. Beau à en tomber amoureuse!
andrew ,, please please please come to mexico ,, you with Rishloo are great I hope someday to enjoy their art live

So glad I found you here after Rishloo so I can keep track of you and your work. Keep on rocking man!
Great vocals man!
Would be really interesting to see you cover Porcupine tree - Trains :)
Come back!
There will always be RISHLOO. :)
We're living in 1984 it seems. Keep singing, keep sharing the art!
You sound great as usual, Andrew! Actually, you are my favorite vocalist (if we only think about those who lives). I would love to see more of you on this channel!

Rishloo fan here to peep. Keep up the good work
You still got it, Drew. :)
Here you are!!!
Personally, I'd go anywhere via dragon.
Heey man , my friend gave me this link on youtube with "in pill form" and then i recalled how much i listened to you guys in highschool , it's been like 4 years i think , i was so sad to hear that you left the band, anyways good luck Andrew :)

I'm all for expanding ones horizons, but Drew should have kept Rishloo in his back pocket. It works for Maynard and Tool.
No, I don't think I'm done with louder stuff. But I also don't want to limit myself solely to that. I create very erratically, and mess with small pieces of a lot of things before I finish any particular one. Oh man! The more I listen your voice, the more it makes me want to hear more...why only two videos? Pleassse? more?
envy of your voice

Here I am.
Your voice is not made for staying quiet, man !
I had been elsewhere.
Am I trippin balls or are you ambidextrous? Anyone? I wish I could sing and strum at the same time haha. Kudos to you sir! Nice covers.
greatest vocalist, no more rishloo is very depressing!
Andrew, do you have any advice for a new guitar player who has become obsessed with playing and who wants to learn to sing as well, but is incredibly shy?

Yeah, I didn't realize that until my Dad pointed it out. Accidently had the camera flipped.
You are also tripping balls.
I actually put that all there intentionally to give the background a more realistic feel. Normally I'm OCD to the point of murdering people who wear their shoes in my home.
Any new project? Pls. tell us something!
Like on a dragon, or something?
I miss Freddie Mercury too. :)
Although he set the bar TOO DAMN HIGH!
Because I'm not a very good guitarist? And my apartment is a mess. I think if you all saw the horribly disorganized mundanity that is my lifestyle your computers would explode.
Just noticed I made a little booboo on the pronunciation of "beach" whoops!
Yo, try out for The Voice. They wouldn't be able to touch you.
Do you really have OCD? If you do, I'll tell you that I have an anxiety disorder too.
