I am impressed with how good the Rode NTG-2 sounds. I had one. I never really got it to work, so I went back to my Rode NT1a. I sold all my gear (Rode NT1A, DBX 286s and Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen) last year and am now considering switching to the MV7 because I like the sound over USB and don't want as much gear. I am very impressed with the Rode NTG-2 tho. Good Video, keep going :)
Thank you! :) Like I said in the video it's the same for me. Never really got the NTG-2 working, but was also impressed. MV7 is great except for the pop filter. I have a video about that ;D
@@floriangladis already looked at it :D The idea of using the pop filter from the sm7b is awesome. The Shure MV7 is a no brainer for me at the moment, I'm just curious what kind of stand I'm using. Right now I favor the low profile stand from elgato.
@@Sormik I guess it depends on the desk setup you have. I use the Rode PSA-1 because of space and I am happy. Elgato would not work at my desk ;D but it is probably a good stand.
@@floriangladis I have since this weekend, a standing desk, I used the Rode PSA-1 before and yes its a good stand compared to the 25€ ones, but Rode did not heard anything from cable management. I is better with the second version they released but thats not my style. I`ll test the low profile one first this time and if I dont like it, I will send it back :D
Love your content. You deserve more subs.
Thank you! Means a lot to me :)
Looks like a great mic, already got my MV7, but great to see new stuffs !
Nice video ! 😄
Thanks! :D

@@Sormik True, the cable management on the Rode PSA-1 is bad :/
