Couple things about your Brandon Sanderson plan. 1. Mistborn Era 2 is 4 books- The Lost Metal is book 4. Also there’s a novella Mistborn: Secret History 2. STRONGLY recommend, if you haven’t read it yet, read Warbreaker before Oathbringer.
I LOVED Moonbound! Out of all of Robin Sloan's books (and I've read them all), this one was the perfect flavour of weird worldbuilding for me. I got the eARC for it so I really want to buy a physical copy to reread and see all the maps that were missing from the ARC.
I absolutely loved “I hope this finds you well” I work in an office and the author did such a great job capturing that atmosphere. It was funny & heartfelt it was a 5 ⭐️ for me!
What a great selection! My favorites of 2024 were „the women“ and „lessons ins chemistry“. I also looooved the whole „Thursday murder club“ series. On my list for 2025 are „we used to live here“ and „the ministry of time“.
Here’s what’s funny. We have almost opposite reading taste. You have DNF’d or low rated some of my favorite books. Most recent- the book of doors. But i just love watching your videos. So entertaining and your love of books is contagious. But what you love, I almost automatically know I most likely wont like. But keep making videos. I will keep watching!😅
I am hoping to get through the first Mistborn trilogy next year. I really liked Martyr! and I am excited to see your thoughts. It is so beautifully written- I would love to read some of Kaveh Akbar's poetry.
Great list!! I totally relate to having way too many books on my priority TBR and having to whittle it down, haha. I’m planning on getting caught up on Stormlight too (by reading Wind and Truth) and hoping to start the original Mistborn trilogy! Fable is on my physical TBR and looks super fun. Water Moon sounds great and I love that cover 😍 Can’t wait for the new Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez books too! You’ve inspired me to compile my priority list now!!
Moonbound is TECHNICALLY a sequel to Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Bookstore, or at least takes place in the same universe, but I don't think you need to read it first.
There are so many books! I'm so proud of you for narrowing it down. However, I just beefed my 2025 tbr way up after this video. Now I have to sit down and try to prioritize 😅 💫
I'm working my way through Devotions by Mary Oliver.. such a lovely collection! another poetry book I am enjoying is The Observer's Atlas by McKenna Kaelin. Also includes illustrations. I splurged on the hardcover because it looks so "old-timey-cool".
you definitely don't have to read robin sloan's other books to read moonbound!! it's a great standalone weird fantasy, I've never read anything like it. even though you don't HAVE to read his backlog, I would also highly recommend his other books. they're set in our world so maybe a little less out there but still weird and wild, and his writing is just so good!! he's an autobuy author for me at this point. looking forward to hearing your thoughts
I have a few in common with you and you just convinced me to get Moonbound because it just sounds so intriguing. Books we don't have in common that are on my Priority TBR for 2025 are: Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa, Love in the Big City by San Young Park, A Fig for All the Devils by CS Fritz, A Nobleman's Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel by KJ Charles, A River Dies of Thirst by Mahmoud Darwish, The Djinn Waits 100 Years by Shubnum Khan, Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson, Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland (and it's sequel if I can squeeze it in when it comes out next year), Enheduanna by Sophus Helle, Same Bed Different Dreams by Ed Park, The Book of the Unnamed Midwife by Meg Elison, City of Thieves by David Benioff, The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (4 book series) and The Children of Gods and Fighting Men by Shauna Lawless. Can you tell I have a literal spreadsheet? I have 100 fiction books in total but I'll likely about 50 of them. I like having variety to choose from LOL). I also have a list of 100 Non Fiction books and will read about 50 of them as well. Love the books you chose and I'm looking forward to your vlogs and reviews!
Does it finish after the original three because I thought there were like 9 books in the series and that’s daunting to start😬 I’d be down for a nice trilogy but don’t feel like commuting to a 5+ series
Syd you have to read The Bound and the Broken series by Ryan Cahill. The first book is of Blood and Fire. It cured my Malice/The Faithful and the Fallen hangover ❤❤❤❤❤
I’m looking forward to Grady Hendrix new book, Abby Jiminez, Emily Henry, Taylor Jenkins Reid’s new book and honestly anything Kayla talks about as an anticipated new release. Also the re release of Murder at Mt Fuji I think I’d enjoy it
I thought The Cabinet was going to be fun and cute and it does start that way but brace yourself, it turns traumatic! I've never heard anyone else talk about this book though, you should def. read it!
Before I watched, I sat down and made my own list to see what overlap I would have and it was only 2! I thought it would be at least 10! The 2 are The Ministry of Time and Say You'll Remember me
so i read 25.5 books (i counted the DNF because im not nice when i dont like something) today i played ¨Santa¨ and brought 17 books back to a used book store. I feel good but super tired. I wanted to give 26 books but I gave some to my local coffee shop so that counts...
Tokyo Ueno Station was disappointing. The story was fine but the translation was really bland. For example, instead of translating some character's strong accents they just wrong "they talked with a strong accent", and some of the translations are direct making the writing feel wooden.

You've been my go-to booktuber recently. I've even started going back to watch older videos. Thanks for all you do!💫💫
Dragon Mage was written as a standalone but after its reception the author decided to return to it and hasn’t yet lol
I just started Red Rising. I knew nothing of it before my accountant recommended it, haha.
Mistborn era 2 has four books you’re missing The Lost Metal. Loved your selection of books I have to add some of them on my tbr as well
I LOVED Moonbound! Out of all of Robin Sloan's books (and I've read them all), this one was the perfect flavour of weird worldbuilding for me. I got the eARC for it so I really want to buy a physical copy to reread and see all the maps that were missing from the ARC.
The Teller of Small Fortunes was so sweet!
I absolutely loved “I hope this finds you well” I work in an office and the author did such a great job capturing that atmosphere. It was funny & heartfelt it was a 5 ⭐️ for me!

Fable, Namesake and Saint are all amazing books! I love how atmospheric it is!!!
Ooh I hadn't heard about The Enchanted Greenhouse!! So glad you mentioned it!
Omg stop I just put that exact Mary Oliver compilation on my TBR too. I looove her and I need to read it 🥰♥️
i read Water Moon as an ARC and you’re going to LOVE it! check out the waterstones edition 😍
I want to read Water Moon. That’s sounds great. Also, I’m currently re-reading The Farseer Trilogy…so good!

Moonbound was so so good, definitely one of my fave books of the year!
This is a perfect list, I want to explore sci-fi more next year as well. Chain Gang allstars sounds so good
I think the message was my fave of the year!
💫 💫 I’m really glad your going to read the red rising series. It is amazing! I really hope you like it.
I am hoping to get through the first Mistborn trilogy next year. I really liked Martyr! and I am excited to see your thoughts. It is so beautifully written- I would love to read some of Kaveh Akbar's poetry.
Chain-Gang All Stars was amazing. I think you'll love it. Honorable Mention audiobook.
Oh HECK yes it’s the perfect time to read Red Rising. Join us all in the suffering that is waiting for Red God 🐺
Great list!! I totally relate to having way too many books on my priority TBR and having to whittle it down, haha. I just finished fable a week or so ago and it was pretty good. Not super amazing but was a good time and I’m definitely wanting to read the second one
Martyr! was one of my top reads this year. It's SO good.
Fable, Namesake and Saint will always be one of my top series. I’m looking forward to hear what you think about it
I think you'll absolutely love the new Hanif! I also want to give Red Rising a read ins 2025
Moonbound is TECHNICALLY a sequel to Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Bookstore, or at least takes place in the same universe, but I don't think you need to read it first.

Sooo happy u’ll be reading books u already have 🎉🎉
🌠 *GREAT* base TBR. As always, I see a couple I need to add to mine :) 🌠
I'm working my way through Devotions by Mary Oliver.. such a lovely collection!
another poetry book I am enjoying is The Observer's Atlas by McKenna Kaelin. Also includes illustrations. I splurged on the hardcover because it looks so "old-timey-cool".
I am so in love with The Shadow of The Gods!!! I can't wait for you to get to it and hear your thoughts!!
Fable and Namesake are really good! I have the sprayed edge paperbacks also. I haven’t read any other Adrienne Young books yet
Great list, I believe in you 🙂↕️💫
I’m excited to read Oathbound (Legendborn #3) next year!
Fable duology needs so much more love. It is excellent. Def one of the standouts from the last several years for me. ❤❤❤
Devotions is my planned night stand book for next year too.
i think you're gonna love martyr!
❤📚📚❤️
Added Dragon Mage to my list. Thanks!

Yeah, the Red Rising trilogy is so much fun
Does it finish after the original three because I thought there were like 9 books in the series and that’s daunting to start😬 I’d be down for a nice trilogy but don’t feel like commuting to a 5+ series
There’s a nice bow at the end of book 3. The fourth starts many years later. I am waiting for the last book before starting Iron Gold (#4).
Syd you have to read The Bound and the Broken series by Ryan Cahill. The first book is of Blood and Fire.
It cured my Malice/The Faithful and the Fallen hangover ❤❤❤❤❤
happy reading 💫💫💫
Ooo yes I need to read red rising series still 😅
I would say 'Days at the Morisaki bookshop' might gonna be at your official tbr👀
I’m looking forward to Grady Hendrix new book, Abby Jiminez, Emily Henry, Taylor Jenkins Reid’s new book and honestly anything Kayla talks about as an anticipated new release. Also the re release of Murder at Mt Fuji I think I’d enjoy it
The best of '24 for me were Seven Days in June and The Wedding People, worst for me were Binding 13 and Keeping 13
I thought The Cabinet was going to be fun and cute and it does start that way but brace yourself, it turns traumatic! I've never heard anyone else talk about this book though, you should def. read it!

The 2 are The Ministry of Time and Say You'll Remember me
I really enjoyed Fable by Adrienne Young. Love her writing! Eager to hear your thoughts on it.
Dragon Mage is my favorite book❤
I hope 2025 is a great reading year for us all. 🌟
Idk how you manage to find some of the strangest books 😂 it’s like a skill
so i read 25.5 books (i counted the DNF because im not nice when i dont like something) today i played ¨Santa¨ and brought 17 books back to a used book store. I feel good but super tired. I wanted to give 26 books but I gave some to my local coffee shop so that counts...
Have you read The Locked Tomb trilogy? It has my heart❤
Have you seen the origami dustjacket for Watermoon?!
I hope you love Ministry of Time. I had such high hopes. I think I read it at the wrong time.
💫💫💫
"I love to cry" lol
My top favourites of the year were probably Station Eleven and Children of Time, both of which are like 10 years old 😅 oops
I looked it up and moonbound is the first in a trilogy.
just a heads up: mistborn era 2 is not a trilogy, there are 4 books and a novella
Fable and namesake by Adrian Young are YA books not New Adult.
Whispers. I'm sorry to say but here is a fourth book in mistborn era 2 😅
💫
💫💫✨
We Used To Live Here, everybody either loves it or hates it! I hated it! It was boring and confusing! 😂
✨✨
