  • Video courtesy Mr. Srinivas Gopal. Thank you for this gem.
    "How(enta) charming(muddo) and how(enta) elegant(sogaso) is he. Whoever(evari valla)Is capable of (tagune) of describing(varnimpa)"
Young (Mandolin) Shrinivas playing BindumAlini like he owned it.. How strange it is I search fervently for his music among hundreds of CDs for over three hours and I come up with this krithi in raga Bindumalini that this prodigy chose to play at the Aradhana may be around 1984. How can one describe him and his music ?
    Eyes blur as I watch..

How did he played the only two noted EandB instrument 🎸 mandolin with that much precision adopting it to classical carnatic music 🎵🎶??? like a monk in deep penance. It's truly wonderful thing with god's grace showered on him that made music lovers plunged the music he created.

My God! What a breathtaking, incredible, prodigy. Like a distant comet, he flashed by us for a fleeting moment in time and left an indelible, unique, mark by introducing an hitherto unfamiliar mandolin that has greatly enriched and show cased the divinity of Carnatic music, It was not just his genius, but also the adorable personality of total Shraddha,, humility, respect and love that he displayed that left a divine halo around his music. Thank God for RUclips and digital media we are fortunate to be left with some rare collection of his concerts that should be edited and enhanced as a must see for future generations - rather than the decadent, cheap, music suffocating the airwaves and corrupting the youth. RIP dear Srinivas.

Hi! I think you are a westerner. The artist was kid in early 1980's 10-12 yes old. At that age performing this South Indian classical music itself considered to be a prodigy or God given or God's incarnation. But he introduced this western instrument, to the South Indian classical music which is considered to be an orthodox form of all music in the world, at this tender age by adopting the fingering to this form from his own self. He was a genius.
