White guy from the US here. One of the most profound events in my lifetime was getting too see Srinivas live on the US Shakti tour. I've been privileged to see a lot of astounding music performances, but being in the same room with Srinivas was like witnessing pure otherworldly magic. One of the greatest musicians to ever walk the earth - he was taken way too soon. I discovered Carnatic music through him - what a gift. I think I have about 15 of his CDs (hard to find in the US!), and this song is my absolute favorite. I could listen to this forever.

Always nice to see a global audience for Carnatic music! I think it's an awesome art form that shouldn't just be restricted to South India. Glad you enjoy it

As informed to me, the Ragams coming in the Ragamalika Portion are:
    1. Nalinakanthi
    2. Kalyana Vasantha
    3. Nagaswarali
    4. Aabheri
    5. Vasanthi
    6. Sucharitha
All these 6 Ragams are played 3 times in the same order by Srinivas, the Mandolin Maestro.

Respected Mandolin Srinivas Sir is immortal and born only for mesmorising us with his scintillating music, a unique Gandharva. I am fortunate to attend his concerts many times and got his first autograph in 1988 at Hyderabad and one more in 1993 at Bangalore. He is a grown child with shy, cheerful face and down to earth qualities. So far, i have not heard any one playing that much sweet & melodious tune. . He may be busy with Winter music Festival at HEAVEN. He is my second HEART. My humble pranams.
