There's something incredibly cathartic about taking hundreds of years of technological research and development and just using it to punch things *really* hard.
It is implied multiple times that the AI and automated defenses are far inferior to humans which I mean it makes sense in lore but it's actually apparent in gameplay too which is cool

No one complains and no one retreats. The fact we have to fight Michigan elevates the experience even more in my opinion, to have to fight someone we highly respect and respects us back in an amazing brawl to the death.

I still love how the Iguazu's AC is practically the Trainer AC just with a shield, a different generator, and uses G3 Melander instead of the regular Melander.
You can just beat the everloving shit out of most of the game with unarmed melee. I don't think the devs ever bothered to really test it beyond making sure it works. Most enemies just don't react in any meaningful way and are completely helpless when you start doing this.
I expect the reason npc's don't react is utter shock and horror. Nobody in the history of Rubicon has ever thrown a punch. They don't have physically functioning bodies.

This is bad ass. Lol. I just hugged the walls and dropped straight down to the platform directly below me and hid behind cover. I repeated until I was all the way to the bottom. Enemies literally couldn't touch me. This...though..this is art.
In my opinion, needing to have a certain build for some missions in AC is something I really like about it, figuring it out and planning, and then having your AC fail miserably and forcing you to go back to the drawing board. On the other hand ac6 making that part not as necessary and just letting you dodge everything like its dark souls and then punch the shit out of everything is really fucking good
...Meanwhile I really struggle to get down to the bottom without taking massive damage, across NG+++ and trying to S rank it. The BEST I can do is slowly crawl along the beams and try to make my way down with as much cover as I can while using a heavy tank build so I'll still survive by the time I get to the bottom. Of course, I've used up all my repair kits at this point. But I guess I just needed to stand still and spin the camera around? And that works for some reason?
well, I used this mission as a money farm a fair bit so I had a good few practice runs :P if you want a more reliable and less insane strat, using the central beams for cover gives you pretty much complete protection from the lasers, so the only things you need to watch for are snipers (plasma missiles deal so comically miniscule damage they might as well not be there). It also bears noting that the best way to fall is to go completely neutral; you fall fastest when you're not attempting to move at all. Very useful knowledge to have, but *especially* in this mission in particular.

In my opinion, needing to have a certain build for some missions in AC is something I really like about it, figuring it out and planning, and then having your AC fail miserably and forcing you to go back to the drawing board.
On the other hand ac6 making that part not as necessary and just letting you dodge everything like its dark souls and then punch the shit out of everything is really fucking good

...Meanwhile I really struggle to get down to the bottom without taking massive damage, across NG+++ and trying to S rank it. The BEST I can do is slowly crawl along the beams and try to make my way down with as much cover as I can while using a heavy tank build so I'll still survive by the time I get to the bottom. Of course, I've used up all my repair kits at this point.
But I guess I just needed to stand still and spin the camera around? And that works for some reason?
well, I used this mission as a money farm a fair bit so I had a good few practice runs :P
if you want a more reliable and less insane strat, using the central beams for cover gives you pretty much complete protection from the lasers, so the only things you need to watch for are snipers (plasma missiles deal so comically miniscule damage they might as well not be there). It's my go-to for casual playthroughs. This guide demonstrates the idea well:

Lynyrd Skynyrd may or may not be a performance booster.
Using the Scutum shield, the hover legs and going full energy-resist works too. You can just drop down and ignore the hits.
It also bears noting that the best way to fall is to go completely neutral; you fall fastest when you're not attempting to move at all. Very useful knowledge to have, but *especially* in this mission in particular.

@@HowlingDoom Yeah, it presents some kind of weird problems, given it results in your control over your descent being limited in some very bizarre ways. Really feels like there should be a way to quick drop *without* having to go completely neutral, either by default or as a separate button.
