Honest businessmen do not exist. Cheating is the fundament of doing business. Truth. The guy selling the stuff is a lazy idiot because 200 bucks = almost for nothing. Specialist antique dealers will pay a fortune for this stuff.
@Elite Soulfly Well, that lot wasn't all that great. I've posted that he would be able to sell it for €150 because of the story behind it and people just like stories. His huge following made it possible to get a lot more. People just love stories. So, $50 wasn't a bad offer based on the expected return and being "a celeb" gave him a huge bonus.

I once busted a toilet from a renter house and found a match box car in there. After that, a plumber told me whatever is wedged in that trap WILL come out. He said to turn the bowl upside down like you did and run the snake from the bottom. If that doesn't work use lots of water or air.

Brass is worth a lot even if you melt that stuff down. I live in the Boston area and worked as a locksmith and a lot of antique commercial application hardware like that goes for top dollar.

Yeah Pete you did the right thing paying up for that Hardware you probably got $100 for each piece armoire even the scrap parts can be repurposed for several different things I've seen him using for handrails pool rails towel racks and many other things

I need your advice, I’ve got a couple dozen vintage dust covers from 70s for turntables, and tape decks but I don’t know which machines they fit. Is there a way to find out that you know of? I have some from Teac, Akai, and Sony. Any suggestions?

Things just fall in sometimes. Once my toilet was blocked and so got the landlord to hire a guy who ended up digging up our back garden because it was the pipe that was blocked and eventually got it sorted and it was a perfume bottle that had been flushed.

+Cragslist Hunter From a plumber: After you replace a toilet like that, you need to replace that wax ring that was left on the ground before putting the new one on ad re caulk around the seams. I'm hoping you did it already and looked it up but just in case you didn't I wanted to give you a heads up that at some point you will have to because either a clog down the line will force water up and past it or the cracking from it drying will allow septic vent fumes to seep up through the bottom and stink up the bathroom. It's not expensive or difficult just tedious as you already reinstalled it.
