Nice review James. I am a long time road bicycle enthusiast since the 1980's. I recently purchased the 2022 Trek Madone SL6, new, from a local bicycle dealer. The $4,729 MSRP was reduced to $3,799 to help sell their one year old bicycle models. Today is the last day I can return the bicycle to the retailer for a full refund. I have read reviews of the bicycle such as a 2020 Bike Radar review, when the model was first introduced. I rode six miles on city streets as my first test ride.. It is a nice professional grade road racing bicycle, fast accelerating and fast handling, with a smooth ride over poor quality roads. My only complaint is, it is a bit heavy for this kind of bicycle. I have the 58cm frame size. With Shimano Ultegra SPD-SL pedals, the bicycle weighs 20 pounds. The 2020 Bike Radar review has the 58cm Trek Madone SL6 weighing in at 19.24 pounds, without pedals.
I’ve seen the red/white/blue color version in Trek Stores. This appears to be a very lightweight and fast bike - a minimalist set up, which I like. Don’t need all the visible bells and whistles. I would use it for smooth road riding of some distance. Very happy about the seat quality!
nice looking bike....I had a Scott Foil about 5-6 years ago and am thinking of getting back into road riding again.... This might be the bike for me...Weekend/afterwork rides on rolling hills and flats? Would this be a good choice? Thanks
Love your reviews from day one James... Keep up the great work... Very real reviews, unlike many of the paid BS reviews on youtube. I do hope you will be able to get your hands on a BH as I see not one BH bike review online has ever been in English. 👍👍✌️✌️
Should I get this bike or the trek émonda sl6 etap there pretty much the same weight but the madone is more aerodynamic I live and race all kind of races and I was wondering if this bike also climbs and wich would be the best for me
Personally id go for the madone, i love aerodynamics and id always pick an aero bike over a lightweight one, i belive aero road bikes today are at the sweetspot for aero/weight/stiffness/comfort/handling
Greetings! What is the measurement in centimeters from the top stem to the bottom where the frame ends, that is, where the fork begins, can it be from 24 to 26 cm? The size 56 cm, is that the height of my seat is 78.5 cm. I wanted to know the difference between the saddle and the handlebars.

Hey James the bike man how do I know if my trek madone slr7 is truly a SLR 7 I ask bcmy trek madone 800 doesn't say slr on the frame why s my trek madone doesn't say
Trek is the only manufacturer that can pull off the gaudy logos look. Their graphics are gorgeous. Cannondale on the other hand just slaps an opposing color stripe and calls it a day which is disgusting especially for what they're charging for bikes and I'm saying this as a Cannondale fanboy.
I have the Di2 build Madone for 2 months now. Coming from a very stiff Fuji transonic and in to racing. This bike is so inferior in so many levels, the only good with this bike is the comfort. I recommend not to buy it, even the SLR version.

Dude that color is sick.
It sure is!
Great review. The only detailed video on Trek Madone SL6 2022.
Glad you liked it!

No one has BH bikes around me. I don't think they're well distributed in the US, certainly not in the North East

I have the Edmonda sl6 e tap and it’s a beast ..aero fast and flys up climbs 😎
Great review, simple and straightforward. 👌
Great review and a great bike. I have one and love the way it rides. But the SLR has the 800 series carbon and i think the chain rings are a 50x34?
Good catch that's what I get for late-night editing. I do say 50-34 in the video, but the title card is wrong.
Greetings!

What kind of bike stand do you use for this review?

Magnificent look !
agreed
Thank you, great review!
Please do the Emonda SL6 E-tap.🙌🏾
I hope so.
Where is it made?
My Dream bike 😎
I want to have a job so I can buy that but I'm too young😆
Nice review🖤
Never too young to do tasks for friends and neighbors
I like this one more than the giant propel but i still can't choose if its this one or the pinarello prince
Madone and Prince are both quite nice bikes

True, not liking cannondale's recent designs
@@nawaal4452 They used to have the best graphics back in the early 2010's, especially their Team color schemes.

That color🤤
Dude I know
Right?
SL=OCLV 500 SLR OCLV 800. 700 is the 2019 and previous slr models
Yep, you in a couple other commentators caught my mistake. Thanks!
Dream bike
Right? Cool ride.
This isn’t a review. This is an overview
wow its pushing 20lbs insane
It happens... like most disc aero bikes. Not all that uncommon
@@Jamesthebikeguy the madone is unmatched from its large tubes and iso

So you prefer a stiffer bike
"Who is this bike for?"
Uhm...dentists and lawyers??
Anyone who wants a rocket ship for a road bike
Where is the review? What I have seen was a presentation.
My chinese branded alu road bike with Claris R2000 components and built for 700$ weighs 300g lighter than this one. This is one hell of a heavy bike.
hey bud maybe ur bike was made of aluminum foil, be careful on ur rides hehehe
And probably rides much worse and is slower. Weight isn’t everything.
i'd be so upset if i paid that much for such a heavy bike
9 kg😭😭
those comp wheels are trash
there is no sl5 version
