interviewer is lovin' it - finally got something special that has not been said yet at the very end. the part about advice to people who want to get to this level of metal
hell yah! I was at that show noticed my corpse and arms flailing aboot in the crowd. but during switches between opening bands. Vogg was just walking around the crowd chilling, making some small talk. me and my brother had the pleasure of speaking with him and expressing our gratitude for his brilliance by doing the Wayne's world "I'm not worthy I'm not worthy "... haha we're both big movie buffs so it's whatever he got a good little laugh. very humble guy, talked interests in life abit, talked about what its like living in Canada Bc, he shared a bit of his life in Krosno Poland. A surreal moment and definitely one I take to the grave. \m/-.-'
@MetalRiffAcademy I did watch it but after it ended I immediately went into part two then responded hahaha. So I asked on this video cause I was already here. Great interview btw.
@ShredGuitarAcademy Great interview! But what was he using to boost his solos? At the beginning of the first video, you see him step on some stuff after his solo ends, what stuff was that?
this is a misconception. the 4x12 cabinet alters the sound, as the speaker resonates differently in a smaller cab. the bigger cab (and depending on whether the speaker is rear loaded, or front loaded) allows for a deeper tone.
I can't understand him but did he say he used a tube amp to record the album? I recall him saying he didn't cause he was going for a "pantera" sound which is badass but it sounded like he said he did in the interview.
@cisco2fun1 Who knows. I really can't say for sure but thirty heads is excessive to say the least and I heard from someone who tech'd for him at a show that they are real Marshalls but he only had three plugged in.
Kiewtykha - "Kie" like in "Kiev" (the city), "w" like in "walk" or "war", a very strong "ty" that is not used in english, sounds like "tü", "kha" like in "khatarsis".
hey when you say stereo do you mean one cab gets powered by a tube and the other by a SS and then both of them are mic'ed? is this the same technique he uses in studio to get his massive but clear, tight tone?
It's a moot point now that Vinnie is gone too but I always thought if the original members of Pantera reunited then Vogg was the obvious choice. The evidence to support that is right here in this video. Spare me the Zakk Wylde bit- I love Zakk too but Vogg would've served the songs instead of making it about himself.
@cisco2fun1 Well exactly. I mean 3 is reasonable. But 30? It seems like a bit much. But I can't say for sure. If Yngwie does use 30 I say that's totally rock & roll and I'm down for it. I just wouldn't want to be his tech;)
Vacooav, or Vacwav. With a strong first and last "w" (like v in "van" or "vein"), a "c" sounding like "ts", (like in "tsar") and a very soft middle "w", like in "walk" or "war", but even more muddy. Hard to explain really, damn this is a difficult language...

Hey cous, it's your distant relative from america Wendell kieltyka! Great gig in Canada!
Great material, thanks for posting. I enjoyed the commentary for the laymen.
Awesome! Enough said!
I am pretty sure he just forgot to mention Annihilator among his favorite Canadian bands.

Wow, you actually wrote his name right :) greetings from Poland! \m/

C standard is 2 step down... is that right?
Thanks!

What model emgs does he use

love the yngwie jokes... all totally true

HEY POLAND ITS CANADA HERE :D :D
nice interview! great content and good info. your voice sounds professional. but you need to watch your "uh"s. they're distracting.
otherwise cool :D
absoloutley mr malmsteen
Vogg may very well be the best guitarist in death metal . The only other guy that gives him a run for his money is Eric Rutan .
Toca MUITOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
he looks mortal without the beard.
Canadian bands he didn't even say rush
That's a little outside his genre . I personally never cared for them . Regardless of how good they are .
Rush? How about Annihilator?
He said C Sharp, thats 1,5 step, but yeah C standard is 2 step down
