legends arceus is a breath of fresh air for the franchise. I hope they continue along those lines but refine it a lot more
I agree, legends Arceus was a great improvement on previous entries. The graphics and visuals could use work and maybe add in a few more trainer battles and it would be amazing.

So I had this idea for the possibility of voice acting in the games: maybe they could do it like in Kingdom Hearts, only having voices in the major cutscenes and regular textboxes otherwise.
Of course, there's still the issue that if the player chooses their own name, the other characters wouldn't be able to address them. But this could be fixed by either the characters not saying the player's name (either through nicknames/tittles or just not addressing them) or, as bad as it sounds, not letting the player choose their own name. Instead their is either a fixed name or a list you choose from.
Like in Persona 5.

It's easy to fix the name issue. Just have the characters refer to the player character with their last name or maybe a title we earn during the beginning of the game.
This is a cool idea, but kind of a dated practice. In Kingdom Hearts III almost all of the dialog in the game is voice acted now

Yes, but that's Kalos, not Unova. For Unova, I'd expect something with Kyurem or the Swords of Justice.

With them shutting down 3ds functionality, they need to get all the old games onto the switch. There is no reason that every pokemon game shouldnt already be on the switch. They have dropped the ball so hard with the Switch.

Id rather they take more time fleshing out and quality checking the main generation titles than pumping out new titles every year.

We need a filler game like Ranger ranger, Pokepark as they work on the mainline game cause we do need breaks. I’m the biggest Pokemon fan but I’m kinda get burnt out cause the games feel have added if that makes sense.

Pokemon ORAS were only so different because they added content that was meant for the XY third version that got cancelled.
Like what? There were the extra mega evolutions, but almost all of those felt specifically chosen for Hoenn.
This is incorrect af the Concept and game of Pokémon Z was cancelled bc of Gen 7. GF scrapped Z for SM which explains the Zygarde lore randomly thrown into SM💀
If there is a Lets go game in future, best way to handle would be adding Jhoto region in existing Lets go Pikachu and Eevee.
That Concept Art for Pokemon Gen 9 hurts because the graphics had potential there and honestly if anything GameFreak needs more time they already have enough money to go to Tahiti.

tbh gamefreak need to put the effort that was put into black and white into another game. imagine a new region 150 new pokemon the closest generations pokemon available post games and 4 dlc each with two of the gen including starters and legends it's so simple the have the resources and fans have made games with barely any budget that incorporates a lot more the the mainstream ever has so why can't they.

Since BBA teased it I hope that if we get anything Unova we get the ability to use the regional gimmick of Tera. At least something to make it unique from B&W besides QOL features

I like the turn based battling and hope that never gets scrapped. I'm open to real time battling for specific points as you complete the main story, however.
the most intriguing part about potential black and white remakes is there's.. actually almost nothing that really needs to be changed other than the rather terrible exp system where it reduces the exp based on your level if your mon's level is higher than the enemy mon.(forces you to fight Audinos).
sure they could easily put in pre-gen/future-gen mons in there with/updated moves, but I believe that'd take away BW's uniqueness of having solely its region's mons for the entire game.
but on the upside, doing that would give more potential replay value overall.
maybe give the pre-post-game E4, final N and Ghetsis competitive teams like how it was done in BDSP's final gauntlet(which's deff the only good part about BDSP that I don't think many people talk about more),
then do the same thing for Alder+post-game E4. maybe throw in a post-game rematch with N and Ghetsis.
other than those few changes I think BW's essentially, for the essentially 2nd game in the series with a actual sequel to it,
(since gen 2 was the first sequel game.) perfect as is

I would love either a new mystery dungeon or better yet a new Pokémon Ranger! I’m sure they could figure out a way where you spin your joy con in a circle in the air to create the catching loops. I’d be so happy to get either or both while we wait for them to perfect the next mainline game.

Oh my god I didn't realize how much I needed voice acting in pokemon until that clip - I already loved this squad, but that made me love them even more!
As much as I would love full voice acting, at least in cutscenes, I can very much see them being stubborn about it. So they could do it where you hear a clip of the voice of each character so you can get an idea for what they sound like, but don't have to have full voice work. It's the bare minimum, but it would be a nice change to at least just have an idea of what they sound like. They could even pull the PokeMas VAs if they wanted. Hell, if they really want to do as little as possible, they could keep the protag silent too. But man, especially after hearing that and seeing what they did with LoZ, Pokémon is so overdue.
Though it makes me wonder if they would debut it in Gen 10 and/or in the Gen 5 remakes, especially since BW2 had a little bit of voice acting. Gen 10 feels like such a momentous thing for them that it would make sense to be on the new console AND to make a big update like voice acting, plus if they release it in two years, it would time perfectly with the 30th anniversary of Pokemon. BUT depending on when they release Gen 5 remakes, it would be a really nice callback to see where they started with BW2 to then having full voice acting in the next modern Pokemon game.
Either way, I am team "please no new gen/main series game this year." Like I know they're still going to do Something bc they're obsessed with having a game every holiday season, but whether it's Gen 5 remakes, Gen 10, or Johto again, I just really want them to make sure it's as good as it can be. Though I think it would be hilarious if they throw an even bigger curve ball at us and announce like a Legends Kalos and Pokemon Z game.
I just want either games to have Mega Evolutions since that last Let’s Go games had Mega Evolutions and Unova teased Mega Evolutions with Mewtwo

All my playthroughs I pretty much only use the new Pokemon too, but I think it's still nice to have the option for older mons

A Pokemon game with voice acting and the option to battle in real time would be sooo great. Expanding on the whole open world/free roam concept is where I think it’s headed.
I can see a more expansive version of Pokemon snap, more free roaming than just being stuck in a cart. More interactive with the Pokemon, being able to catch Pokemon to see how they behave when they're with you, taking certain Pokemon to different areas to get photos and maybe even being able to play as a Pokemon to get different scenarios that wouldn't happen if there was a human.
Paradox Swords of Justice make me think they’re going to do Unova games like “Pokémon Gr3y: L3G3NDS KYUR3M” for 2024 and it’ll be in the future to directly succeed SV (past & present themed) which directly succeeded Legends Arceus (occurred in the past). Paradox Beasts imply “Let’s Pokémon GO to Johto” for 2025, so Gen 10 drops in 2026 (30th anniversary + lets the Horizons anime have ~150 episodes and end when Gen 10 starts).

I think Pokemon as a franchise would benefit in general by spacing out mainline releases with more spinoffs series in between releases. Remakes are great too but I feel they’re leaving a lot on the table by not fleshing out the spinoffs, I love PMD and thankfully we got Rescue Team DX but that was almost 4 years ago.
It’s sad they’ve gone the mobile route with the spinoffs because they can revisit a lot of series. Off the top of my head they have Conquest, Rangers, a New Snap(or newer one 😅), maybe even a new concept. Imagine a sports title with Pokeathlon and Unite gameplay for example.
As for mainline titles I love the idea of a Legends Unova and a BW remake to close out gen 9, then B2W2 remade in gen 10. I enjoyed Pokemon Go but a Johto variant definitely would’ve made more sense in gen 8 since Sinnoh was remade and the connection between the two regions. However, I think Legends as a concept is an evolved version of Let’s Go and that series is a one off now; I’d love to see that are style incorporated going forward because I believe it’s their best one but at the end of the day it’s Gamefreak and they love to surprise us so who knows.

I like the idea of Pokemon Black Gold & Pokemon White Silver, I hope they do something along those lines as it fits with the theme of both games & having Celebi be the key to traveling back & forth would be the icling on the cake. Besides, both games are a little too short on there own, & this concept could explain why more Pokemon appear in Black 2 & White 2 with a twist no one could see coming. I doubt it will, but it still makes for a new way to improve on a game most overlook. If someone added in a feature where the Pokemon in the box would go out & find items for there trainers, with the items received being based on the friendship level of the Pokemon sent.
Gen 5 is by far my favourite generation of all time. All I wish for is for Unova remakes, Legends Kyurem, or Black&White 3. Any of these would work.
With most legendaries can be caught through the latest DLC, there wouldn’t be a main series’ product released this year. Either they make a big spin-off like the Legends or Let’s Go series, or they just take a break. (Probably they won’t dare to give their game to a third party dev since the BDSP rage). Personally, I think they are cooking something this year, because they’re hungry for money.

I’d love for either a new Pokken Tournament game, or a Pokémon DLC character come to either Street Fighter Six or Tekken 8, Tekken 8 preferably since Bandi Namco had created Pokken and thus they could already have a good idea on how to implement a Pokemon into Tekken. As you mentioned here as well, Pokemon Snap was made by Bandi Namco so it’s clear that the two companies are close and that kind of crossover between Pokemon and Tekken being the most likely.
If we don't get a main series pokemon game, I would like definitely like another Pokemon Legends because that is easily the best spin-off game they've ever made, but I would also love a third installment of Pokemon Colleseum franchise. Keeping the mechanics mostly the same, but a game where you DON'T and CAN'T "catch 'em all" would be refreshing.

Voice acting definitely should happen in Generation 10. Because it's bad enough that the anime is diverging away from adapting the game nowadays. Journeys skipped over most of Gen 8.

I Hope Gamefreak stops pandering to the open world pokemon yearners because honestly, it doesn't fit the identitiy of the franchise. LEGENDS Arceus was fine because it was interesting to visit a reskinned and updated sinnoh essentially but for mainline games like scarlet and violet it's just a mess especially with how gym and syndicates are now open ended
if they did do another Let's Go it would probably be Espeon and Umbreon, take advantage of the day/night cycle gen 2 introduced

The problem wasn't ILCA, it was gamefreak restricting ILCA, ordering them to create a faithful remake.

Hello @MunchingOrange What if they did the "UNTHINKABLE!!!"... What if they gave us 2 or 3 new Games. 1 Main Game and 2 Spin off Games. Like a New Johto (Legends Celebi) Game that is Open World. I really want to see the "BUG Catching Contest" in an Open World type Game. Then we have a Unova Game set in the Future and has Paradox Pokemon. the 3rd could be a whole new Version of a Pokemon Ranger Game that has Scarlet/Violet type Graphics. I know this will never happen but what if we DID get these games while they work really hard on a Gen 10 Main Game for the Switch 2. I just feel like if they gave us these other Games in the mean time then it would hold our interest for about another year or so so that they could perfect Gen 10.
Imagine if every Pokemon game was smaller and non-RPG? That's just 20-minutes long for story alone. Or 40 minutes if you also wanted 100% completions like Pokedexes. With overworld battles and catches that take a few seconds. None of those slowpaced texts cutscenes or turn-based mechanics. Just perfect enough for short attention spans. Hence why early games like Super Mario Bros(1985) and Sonic 2(16-Bit) were so popular. Because they're replayable and didn't take so much time away. As everytime I wanted to replay I game, I wanted to go from start to finish within a short time. As if I was watching a movie or a TV episode.

I'd love a choice at the start of the game, or if each gym badge you get a new Gen of Pokemon becomes available. so you start with only Gen 5 but by the time your headed to the elite 4 almost anything is available
Also for the lets go game wouldn't mind those being mind numbingly easy so kids still get to play while making the Pokemon games a little harder. of course it still has to be accessible to a younger audience but maybe just allow more choice, like opting out of Exp share and "your Pokemon refused to die cause hax"
