The descriptions of pizzas from Pepe's, Nolo, and Bar made me crave a slice right now. 😋 It's wonderful how you captured the atmosphere of the pizza tour in your sketchbook: intriguing and delicious! Thanks for sharing your pizza adventures. 🍕✨ I don't have particular preferences in pizza, as long as there's plenty of cheese! 🧀

Love it!! I really enjoy these life tour sorts of things. All of those pizzas looked amazing (exceeeepppppttt the clam one - I just really can't do seafood). There's a place locally that does "pizza of the month" and, haha! In March it was a loaded mashed potato pizza and in April... or is it Mayyyy... I forget, but it was Mexican Street Corn pizza - similar to what you mentioned but with cilantro (and for me, you can't have enough cilantro). I have heard of New Haven pizza - but I've yet to visit there. Now, ahem, I grew up not far from Chicago, so you know, I gotta defend home territory there - give me Giordano's, Uno's, Gino's East... or there was a place in Rockford called Villa Capri and... oh man... so good. Where I am nowwwww they have a fantaaasssstic Detroit style pizza place that seriously gives Chicago style a run for it's money (and it ain't cheap!). Anyway, pizza is a subject I can get opinionated about, so I did enjoy the Moses Pizza design ("Thou Shall Not..." as far a pizza goes... that could be fun!) - but Pizza Man is iconic. Did you go to all these places in one day?? Anyway, great video, as always!

@@sketchbookscheming ahh thank you so much… Iv been struggling to get a video done the last few weeks as Iv been working on a collection of work to go up in a lovely country pub… I have a whole wall all to my self to display and sell my paintings so Iv been busy painting and framing ready. Shame I haven’t thought to make a video about it but I guess I could do and film them going up. I am half way through a new video and need to get it finished hopefully tomorrow 🥰 thanks for the lovely comment about my videos. So good to support each other. Really love you and your channel and artwork 😊

Oh wait! One more thing! I LOVE the pizza man!!! Can I buy a t shirt and sticker of it?! It’s so great!! And I do love the Moses design too, although I’m ok with pineapple on a pizza if it’s with something spicy. The sweet and spicy is good together and I will die on this hill🤣

Marcy, you’re killing me and my husband right now! We miss New Haven pizza so much!!!🫣😭😭Actually, all of CT has the best pizza, nowhere else in the country can top it! This was so cute, great illustrations and I loved seeing all the old familiar places (well, I don’t know Bar or Nolo, but they look great anyway😊)
My favorite is Pepe’s eggplant pizza. Hands down. Modern’s eggplant pizza is very good, but still not as good as Pepe’s in my opinion (my late brother in law would fight me on that- he was a big Modern die hard fan!)

Thanks so much, Deb! I loved hearing your remembrances about New Haven and CT pizza. It's so great! I'll have to try the eggplant pizza at Pepe's, and I want to get back to Bar soon and try some that I haven't tried before. I love Modern too, but I'd say Pepe's and Bar are my two favorite places.
@@sketchbookscheming Now you don’t have to go to Pepe’s to get eggplant- just so ya know! A lot of pizza joints have it. West Haven has Only The Best and that place might be take out only? I can’t remember. Of course, everyone knows Mystic Pizza, theirs is good too! But you cannot get a pizza with fried eggplant on it here in Cleveland. And it’s a must every time we go to CT to visit 👍♥️

Great video Marcy! Sally's is my favorite. Did you actually go on the official Pizza tour, or just improvised your own?
Thanks so much, Mark! We improvised our own. We wanted to fit in Sally's, but it was too crowded. (No surprise!) Pepe's is my all around favorite, but I loved Sally's red sauce even more than Pepe's (in a previous visit). Great to hear from you! (I'm assuming you are RH Mark, is that right?) 😀

Thanks, Mark! I liked that one too. I don't know if I could have come up with 10 Commandments, though. We only brainstormed the first one. At one point, we thought we might list 10 on the back of the shirt. @@markwright9025
