Thank for making the video. looks like the SNT2416 performed about the same as the SNT2406 but with some nice feature even though the brushless motor has a different part number and is call XP now. I really like the upgrade 2-in-1 chute controller and if EGO did not introduce the 28" I would be temped to upgrade just for that feature along. The clogging in heavy wet and slush snow were a common experience on the EGO 24" for me as well and the chute clear tool was a must to have; however, when slowing down the drive speed which also decreases the intake amount the frequency of clogging does decreases. It's like eating slower and allow the mouth to clear the intake.
The 24" unit is equipped with a set of 11" auger and impeller with 45.8% flow rate plus the impeller depth & ejection hole is ~3" and the chute width is ~4" wide. When compared with the front heavy 28" which is equipped with a set of full size 14" auger and impeller with 50% flow rate plus the impeller depth & ejection hole is 5" and the chute width is ~6.5" wide. Even submerged into 10" of brown slush wet snow left by the snowplow the unit just refuse to clog even in ECO speed. I have yet to use the chute clear tool once on the 28" so far for over 10+ times I have operated the unit.

Hey we really appreciate your comment! Thanks for sharing your experiences with the 2406, it really is similar to the 2416 in most respects. It's great to know that you haven't had to use the snow chute shovel yet either, the unit does a great job clearing the chute and auger once it's no longer taking in new snow. That's a nice improvement from potentially stalling a motor with gas powered snowblowers!

I have the 28", I am in Utah and it's handled drifts up to the handles. Battery life could be better, but overall it's a nice unit that my wife feels comfortable using.

Thanks for the follow up review. Was hesitant after your first review since I do not have the EGO ecosystem but your second review convinced me to go with the 2416. Was curious about the heated hand grips as well. Thanks for discussing this as well as the shear pin replacement. That helped addressed my concerns too.

i just took delivery of the 2416 and was pleasantly surprised with the single joystick for controlling the angle/direction of the chute and still mechanically-linked. i have yet to test it but one of my minor concern is that even at the lowest setting for the propulsion i find it's still too fast...but then maybe it's not going too much of a concern when there's snow to be plowed...

The concern is understandable! Yes, when it's under load, you'll see the propulsion go down a slight amount. Nothing crazy, but it will be noticeable.

@@CBView yes, you are correct...i finally had the chance to use it yesterday and even with a very light load (less than 2" of snow) the propulsion is within a manageable speed. this thing is amazing!

In the video I see you discharging only 90 degrees to the left and right. Is there more adjustability to the direction other than 90 degrees either way? Thx

Great review Sir. I am pretty sure it will survive, i bought one, SNT-2405 and i live in the Laurentians, Qc, Canada...used it 7 times so far, once with a 12" deep storm..As for heavy wet snow, took me 2 full charges and i have a 150' long driveway...who cares, the fun i am having with this and all the other EGO tools i have. Play and learn your settings, you will find the right ones that will save a lot of the batteries...Doing most of my runs on eco mode, taking half pass instead of full width, speed, throwing on different angle cause i will get 50 to 70 inches total that will accumulate too much if i throw low..Hope that make sense and the best part..not smelling like i rolled into gasoline when i come in and half the noise...Have a great rest of winter.

Would you get the 2416 with 2 10ah batteries or 2406 with 4 batteries

Dense, slushy snow - literally all I ever get.
