Awwww I'm so happy for Lindy!!! This is gonna boost her confidence so much. Good job figuring this out Emily. I never knew this existed either before you started showing it in videos. Wow, I wonder if something like this would have benefited my brother when he was really little. Probably. It's amazing where technology is now.

As and special education educator see parents point of view is huge to me. I also teach an Angel-man’s but he doesn’t have parents like you and has no communication skills. 😫 thank you for rocking as a special needs mom!

Thank you so much for videos like this. So informative. I knew communication devices existed, but videos where I can actually see them in action and hear about them are so very helpful, and I love it. I am so sorry that it differs from state to state whether or not your therapists, case workers, whatever, tell you about these things. I say, if your kiddo, or even adult relative with a disability, needs adaptive equipment like this, their caregivers and family need to be informed and encouraged to get it for them! I am a person with a disability myself; a different kind of disability, but a disability, and I guess you could say I am interested in learning about how people with certain other disabilities function. So thank you for this, and all my best to Lindy, and Griffin. Sorry if I’m misspelling their names, but I’m going on sound. My disability is blindness and I cannot read the screen with my eyes, and I do not have VoiceOver on my iPhone in a place where I can spell out words in the videos title right now.

I'm a fluent speaker but with my severe anxiety and Autistic shutdowns I can go non verbal and use an AAC app when this happens. I work with some non speakers and some limited speakers and really push for then to have AAC in place, it's so important for every person to have a voice and a functional form of communication.

More info on this is so helpful. I work for school district and 1 of my kiddos has this device, unfortunately there is no resources available to train staff on this device, so RUclips videos is so helpful. If anyone has any other videos on this communication device, it would be so helpful. These devices are amazing

This would be so helpful for me. I have a block stutter so is very hard to get my words out. Sometimes I have looked at some apps like that But I am very scared to ask my Mom about it and I can get pretty overwhelmed in Certain situations and it can be so hard!

She is very smart and understands everything you say so hopefully potty training will go super easy especially if a sweet treat is a reward for going potty. This is going to be great for her to communicate all of her needs to you and less frustrating for her and all of you.

both my boys have one. my oldest uses touch chat. my youngest uses peony quo (auto correct) i like my youngest sons better. it’s much easier to use. i’m not surprised about new york being so bad. i’ve been legally bling since birth. i was born in Queens and the state’s service for the blind was slow back then in the 80s and 90s. from what i’ve heard it’s not much better now. so i’m not surprised that other services for special needs are poor too. It’s sad really! I’ve lived in NJ since age 7 and really haven’t had problems getting services when they are needed for me or my children

It doesn't even have to be a new device. A used one can work perfectly fine. Just make sure to talk to a computer expert first.
