The pain is real whenever it slips off when you've pulled it to hook to the other side. Like, the impact of the elasticity is no joke. The side of my lips has suffered a lot of red stinging bruises from the slips😂
A couple days ago I JUST got my rubber bands and the first time I tried to put them on I gave up and the next day I tried it again and it took my like 5 minutes to get them on and now I just use 2 fingers and it’s so easy now I get it on the first time, I got a weird wire that has the top hooks by my K-9s (It’s just a hook both sides), so I have long nails not too long so I put the rubber band on my thumb and index finger and have my nails under the bottom bracket hook and have my index finger on the top hook, and make the rubber band slide of so it won’t fly everywhere. So that all makes it easy to put the rubber bands on. If you read this all and like what I do 👇🏻

I could never put my bands on with my fingers, too slimy in there. So I bought a rubber band hook off of Amazon. They work much better and less frustrating.
I have invisalign and I have to wear bands from maxillary first premolars (precision cuts) to mandibular second molars (buttons). It's almost impossible for me to put them using my fingers, so I use some dental floss. First, I pass the floss through the band, then place the band on the button, pull the floss until the rubber gets close to the cut and finally hook it. This makes the process of wearing them much easier. In less than a minute you're ready to go!
i have something like this, but not braces. i have to long brackets on either side of my top teeth covering three teeth. then i have a button/hook on one of my teeth on either side of my bottom teeth. i attach rubber bands to the button in the bottom, then up to the front hook of the brackets. i wear a retainer on my bottom teeth with a carve out so it goes over my buttons. it’s to fix an overbite.
I just got them today and I was stressing trying to put these in. But the video worked! I also got that tool to help so I have to try using that as well

My orthodontists told me from back to the front but I might tried this and see if its easier. I don't use this method. I'll try this in the morning and its night in the uk.
I put my rubber band in my finger and rub my finger against the bottom bracket till it get hooked on. Then I just keep the rubber band on my finger and stretch it out till it hooked on to my top bracket. TMI Ik
Only problem is my mouth can't expand out far enough for my finger to fit in the gap, and even when it does it slips out of my finger and they I drop it as soon as I take it out of my mouth and never find it again
Plss! I have braces and I barely wear my rubber bands bc they keep snapping!! Idk what to do and I don't want to get springs. Is there any way to stop them from snapping?
I have Invisalign. Do you use elastics with your Invisalign patients? If so, can you explain how yours works? Do you have hooks on your Invisalign? I have had Invisalign for 13 months now with no elastics, but I just had a surgery where now I have to use elastics to pull down my upper canines. My set up is odd, I’m just curious how other people are doing it. Thank you for any info 🙏🙏🙏 PS: I don’t have any hooks on mine. My ortho just cut my aligners by hand to make a spot to hook them on, but I can’t get mine on at all. I’m going back next week to see if we can fix it or find another solution.
Hey braces guy will I have to get rubber bands I have a severe deep bite and they have not done anything with them and I was wondering what they will do in the future because I have braces with weird blue things on my back teeth and I was wondering if that was supposed to help

i use the first way whenever i get my nails done, because it’s hard to do the second way. although i do the second way when i don’t have long nails

It’s easy use one finger yo do the top bracket then grab it with your pointer finger and there you go I love my braces I don’t want to get them off ❤
