Speak Now is probably the closest you’ll get for now unfortunately lol. Love that album but I’d love to hear her more on tracks that have a Foo Fighters sound to them
Speak Now (my fav) is of course going to be the most similar to this, but with it being overshadowed by the popularity of her synth pop sound like in 1989, midnights, & ttpd I don't think taylor would consider making an album that has rock vibes ever again especially with fan favs from sn being more of the pop country songs (i say this as a person who is on swiftie side of social media, sn isn't that popular within the fanbase from what ive seen over the years)
About the hair thing she does: Taylor has said that she does that when she's crying, to prevent the tears from streaming down her face and blurry her vision
The reason why she put so much emotion into the atw preformance is bc there were times when it still hurt her to sing that song that was so personal. Nowadays, fans have made her feel more comfortable and enjoy performing it but yes, it is still iconic Good reaction! :D
I think that makes it more iconic honestly. It's one of (if not the only) the performances from that time that shows what she means when she now explains the lore of the song. I love that she now equates the song to the fan's love of it and doesn't suffer when performing it, but it shows how real and deep the meaning of the song is and was, and the reason at the time it was a buried deep cut that was not known or appreciated by anyone outside of deep swifties, it was a gatekept deepcut because it was not just another breakup song for the public to poke at. She was clearly in the emotion, not even putting it in but exuding it and couldn't perform it without feeling it so intensely, and that's iconic in showing how far we've brought it - to being the highlight of the album rerecord and a song she can sing proudly and comfortably. This was *the* raw emotional Taylor performance that I think ook people aback and made them like... "oh shit not gonna make fun of that".
Oh my guuurl, you have to do the 1989 World Tour "I Know Places" and "Out of the woods". And Live from Paris "Cornelia Street" and "Death By A Thousand Cuts"
Cornelia Street and DBATC live from Paris are prob my two favorite songs/performances ever. Fast forward to Eras tour night 3 at Indy…I was there. She sang both songs and I thought my daughter and I would pass out we were so shocked and happy! It was like living in a dream!! That concert was good for my soul!
3:23 it’s so clear from her early work how her voice has changed. She used to get hate for not having a good voice and it was never not good. It just wasn’t strong. And it was because she was putting on this twang that she couldn’t keep going when the vocals got “hard”. Now that she has dropped the country affect she can let her natural singing voice rise up and sing those notes she couldn’t hit before. Lower and higher and stronger. But clearly the “twang” was an added affect she probably taught herself as a kid before her voice had grown. I’m glad she was able to lean into her natural voice. Imagine what Britney would have sounded like if they had let her lose that breathy sexy thing for a more strong mature sound
@ that’s true. She shows real skill when she impersonates others (I’m not implying she doesn’t display skill with her own stuff just that it’s impressive how versatile she can be when she chooses)
It's always entertaining seeing people react to Taylor doing rock and being blown away. She is SO good at it, her voice is perfect for rock and I am desperate for her to make a rock album. Fully agree that she needs to bring back that range and the belting, because there's not really been anything big vocally since Reputation.
Taylor can play many stringed instruments actually: acoustic/electric guitar, banjo, ukulele and banjo, and of course she can play the piano. These are only some of what people have seen her play. There's possibly many more that she doesn't even use publicly.
Girl I can’t even watch that one all too well Grammy performance cause she was holding that cry and you’re here reacting to it 😭 I’m here for it love your tay videos and cant wait for the other live vids she got many of them 🤍
The bob was a paid performer, I can't! These performances were so iconic, period. And we need a rock record from her, WANEGBT live was so good, it's the only style we're missing!
I saw at the end there was a video of the medley she performed at the AMAs was it. Where she wore the white shirt at first with all her albums names. If u haven’t reacted to it, I suggest it cz it’s awesome !!!
For the record at the time of that all too well performance it wasn't truly acting, she's spoken about the way that song used to make her feel onstage and how difficult it was during her promotion of Red, crying offstage for album interviews and whatnot, and to revisit Red songs at the time. And this wasn't a famous big song during the era, it was a true underrated deep cut and *deep* fan favourite. The intimacy and the real pain on her face is so agonising to me, she really wanted to show off her artistry with this particular song for the Grammys to prove herself and it does but it hurts to see the way she almost tries to smile at the end and you can tell she's just not quite out of the feelings of the performance.
We love the braids NeeCee :) And if you do the 1989 tour, please please please do the EAS 4k channel 1989 in Sydney here in Australia. By far her best performance. It has some commentary, surprise guests like Mary J. You won't be dissapointed. Up vote this one guys, she needs to see it lol. Even if you don't do a reaction, you really need to see it NeeCee :)
My absolute young Taylor live performance is for the fans, Long Live from the Speak Now tour. Sorta country, sorta not ! She really engages the audience ! Perfect !
Many of us want a rock album from her. She can so do it. Also, I honestly think she secretly rocks out in her home lol. A majority of her music in the early stages of being composed, she starts off using a guitar. And yes she does have a piano at her home just in case but I think the guitar is the first one she reaches for. I remember seeing her pick up an electric guitar in The Making of A Song she put out for her Reputation album. She was working on "King of My Heart", using an electric guitar. So it's possible she's jamming out in her home lol.
The vocals are the best part because they’ve been adjusted, which is fine. Almost everyone does it for these promotional videos. But yeah, it’s cool AF
Yeah shes def mellowed out in terms of vocals! I think she has improved her vocal stability but shes exploring her lower registers more, but still i think Theres many songs even in ttpd that i think should be SHOUTED! Black dog, smallest man?! Those are emo songs she should be YELLING those lyrics 😭😭 i rlly hope she dives into rock one day!!
She was so sad, angry, heartbroken while singing atw in that performance. But everyone also seems to forget that she was heavily sick while singing this, but keep pushing through the performance anyway🥺
I’m so with you NeeCee!! She just does that genre sooo well!! It’s fabulous. You make me smile. Thank you for your enthusiasm and happiness!! You must be the supportive cheerleader in your friend group. You’re so sweet and nice and funny! So glad I found your channel. ❤
There are some Speak Now World Tour movie clips here on yt, i suggest you also watch those so you can compare how taylors voice changed and mature over the years
the thing with Taylor is that she's gonna sing in that calm manner on the record (mostly), but when she goes live? I think Out Of The Woods from 1989 on the 1989 tour is the perfect example, but also Who's Afraid of Little Old Me, like there's already anger and craziness on the record, but when she performs it live, she even brings that up. or even tolerate it, like otherwise pretty calm song, but when she sang it at Eras and she climbed on the table, there was so much rage and energy in that. you see online these things like "which song is better live than on the album?" and I feel like with Taylor it's honestly most of them, almost all of them
Yes, that was nerves. This performance was during a time when Taylor still felt she didn't deserve to be successful, or felt that the rest of the music world didn't believe she deserved to be there.
Yeah here for all your Taylor reactions you are so good! I am a swifty but I’m also an Regengade, and would love to see you react to Ren Gill’s music specifically “Hi Ren” first you are so good at breaking down lyrics and Ren will blow your mind! Both Taylor and Ren are genuine artists and if you react to Ren I swear you won’t regret it! 🙏
Taylor has been CEO of neck breaking hair flips since the start of her career honestly 😂
14:09 AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHY WE HAVE BEEN BEGGING FOR A ROCK ALBUM FOR YEARS!
Speak Now is probably the closest you’ll get for now unfortunately lol. Love that album but I’d love to hear her more on tracks that have a Foo Fighters sound to them

I just posted that comment on Wonderland about 2025 nominations. I want a rock album, too!😊
"That bob was a paid performer" truly
“Cmon acting” to Taylor when she’s literally sobbing while playing this 😭😂
Screaming!!!
About the hair thing she does: Taylor has said that she does that when she's crying, to prevent the tears from streaming down her face and blurry her vision
Oh, I never knew that. Now it makes a lot of sense why so much on the ATW performance. Thank you!
The reason why she put so much emotion into the atw preformance is bc there were times when it still hurt her to sing that song that was so personal. Nowadays, fans have made her feel more comfortable and enjoy performing it but yes, it is still iconic

I'm in medical school, I was diligently studying then I saw the notification. Let's just say for the next 15 minutes I know what I'll be doing
Omg😭I shouldn’t encourage this😂
Sameeee
saaame lmao
TWIN
When she announced red tv, I was praying that she would add the rock version of WANEGBT 😢
I had never seen this performance before! So amazing.
Not iconic enough without the I Did Something Bad AMAs performance!!
!!!
Now, you MUST react to Taylor's live SNL performance of All Too Well. It's 🔥 and shows her growth.
Oh my guuurl, you have to do the 1989 World Tour "I Know Places" and "Out of the woods". And Live from Paris "Cornelia Street" and "Death By A Thousand Cuts"

Also, Ariana Grande. She's phenomenal when she drops the baby girl persona. Her musical impersonations are so powerful.
@ that’s true. She shows real skill when she impersonates others (I’m not implying she doesn’t display skill with her own stuff just that it’s impressive how versatile she can be when she chooses)
you must see the iconic sydney blank space performance
The 1989 rock phase that we had during that tour was something special

It's always entertaining seeing people react to Taylor doing rock and being blown away. She is SO good at it, her voice is perfect for rock and I am desperate for her to make a rock album. Neecee we ALL WANT ROCK TAYLOR SO BAD .... I know one day we will

Taylor was genuinely sad and angry for the all too well performance. It was still fresh emotions during that time.
I love the singing break with the brush😂🎀
You want to see really young Taylor live, please watch her "Speak Now" concert. ❤
This performance of All Too Well feels like it could be 1972, so classic and timeless. I feel like her voice quivers the whole way through. 💔
Headbanging at the piano 🎹🎹🎹!!!!!❤
Go watch the whole tour --- but understand that she has _always_ done a spectacle show live. 👏🏻
The bob was a paid performer, I can't! These performances were so iconic, period. And we need a rock record from her, WANEGBT live was so good, it's the only style we're missing!

Girl, you need to see her TTPD Set from the Eras Tour, if you want Rage. Absolute fireeee.
"Why are the vocals the best part of this?!" The 1989 World Tour in a nutshell
12:57 - I adore this moment. It’s epic!!! And gives me chills and tears!
I saw at the end there was a video of the medley she performed at the AMAs was it. Where she wore the white shirt at first with all her albums names. If u haven’t reacted to it, I suggest it cz it’s awesome !!!
