I don't see Nate and Jamie as competitors. I watch both just as I can be interested in two Netflix shows at once. You guys synergize with each other, and that community-feel is GOLD that we all love to feel a part of. So keep up the great work, guys.
I came here because I was watching on my Xbox. Jamie, I found your channel a year ago and because of yours, I found Nate, koa, Ben gravy, zeke. I watch everyone’s vlogs religiously now. They have been good for each other.
I agree. I’m subscribed to JOB, Nate, and Koa, and I enjoy watching all 3. One channel that’s super underrated is Sickos, which has a guy who was JOBs cameraman
I’m 55 and been surfing my entire life and to me Nates channel is my favorite! He doesn’t try hard. He’s probably the most real. It just feels so raw. Not all about saying like and subscribe. I hate that. He’s all about paddling and slabs. Plus he always gives so so much love to the locals. I guarantee that’s makes them feel so special! Nate is surfing and bringing so much light to Ireland and Scotland! Keep going hard!
J.O.B., You are amazing! How special to grow up together on North Shore. You’re such a good friend to the boys. Koa Rothman, Nate Florence, Eli Olsen respect you & your surfing ability. Your studio looks great! Thanks for sharing! Be safe. Be well. 🌊💃🏻
The series that Nate and John did sailing to the middle of no where was the best content I have seen so far that was amazing. Thank you JOB for encouraging all these guys to vlog.
Nathan is showing the surfing world how the future looks like. The WSL is simply a centralized, outdated and politiziced product. Surfing is all about the freedom to roam and explore. Good on ya Nathan for all you do!
this is gold, nice work Jamie. Love hearing the lineup perspectives and laughs. Nate has been on a freaking quest and its amazing. Glad his back is strong and as everyone else who watches Nate's channel says: "we want more Mahina narration"
Nate has a lot of understanding.. the man thinks… and now hes free… thats powerful! Bless him! Its all about sharing man! Love wisdom honesty! Thats always good! Maybe thats how to deal with the juggle, sharing! We are all in it together! Rockin the same boat!
I love how you guys raise yourselves above the machine. Like a comment below, personally I don't see you guys as competitors, I see you as innovators in actual surfing freedom. This was an epic interview on many levels. If anyone reads this comment, watch this interview in full. It's one to save.
What an episode! Enjoyed a lot this warm convo. The respect they have for each other, the history. Cant wait for a session with JJ, Kelly, JOB and Nate.
Oh boy this was so much better! You can tell straight away how both of you are so relaxed in this conversation, and all that comes out is pure gold. Really inspiring people, thanks for sharing this with all of us
Jamie is a leader and true friend to all these guys. I enjoy watching, listening and following these guys. It’s a great and refreshing way for me, a 48 year old construction professional still dreaming about surfing a long glassy head high wave or hitting a double-up behind the boat. Having Jamie to watch and follow is a huge honor for me and I love that he is a mentor to so many people, especially to these great guys living on the North Shore. Nathan along with his brothers are so good for the sport and great for the young generation to have in front of them. Positive energy and something I am glad for my own two sons to watch and learn from. They conduct themselves with respect and kindness. Thank you all for everything you do.
23:32 go! The man has understanding i can tell hes so humble in little body language where he thinks how he chooses to define himself in those moments and during those months all he does is soaking up information. Gain understanding at all costs. Thats why people want to listen what he has to say. Hes finding himself hes free for himself and he will allow you to grow with him. Mad respect to him. Nate is a rare type of human being. He will think about you too. Even when you’re not around. Like he gives the people information he doesnt think highly of himself. He will still ask you for your thoughts and take it into consideration and into his own thought. I wish Nathan koa and his people the best waves.
Really enjoying this side of JOB, to me feels a little more real, a little less promotional. Great episode. And yes, you should number the episodes, it's nice and fun in the long run.
Been following this whole crew recently and im amazed at the honesty these guys speak. It's so refreshing, would love my kids to grow up around this kind of inspirational vibe. It's raw and real, thanks guys.
I appreciate you Jamie & Nathan for highlighting the importance of curating a healthy social media presence to make a name for yourself properly in the surfing world. It's a lot right now but it will pay off. Keep at the podcast. Thank you for showcasing my favourite surfers and truly being so wild at Pipe. Peace & Love Bro 🙏🏽.
Good video guys, interesting. I'm an old fart from Arizona. I have a son Nathan's age who taught me how to use a computer and watch RUclips. I got hooked on surf vids during the lockdown. I started with JOB, of course, and now I feel like I know all the North Shore RUclipsrs. I can recognize each of them by their individual styles. Thanks to all of you all for fresh, cool content during some tough times. Keep cranking it out, I'll keep watching. I wish all you kids the best of luck.
Thanks for the history lesson boys adds to joining y'all virtually in your paddle outs and sessions. One thing I like a lot about Nate's RUclipss is the raw footage I feel like I'm out there with him
This was the best Jamie! Super genuine down to earth content with the buddies. We as the community look up to you pros for all your knowledge, experience, memories to share with us. This podcast was such a pivotal step for you. This is going to take off!! I would recommend that you can set up some consulting for up and coming groms/pros. I know that having that guidance and counsel for them can determine the direction for their surfing goals, wether it be for competitions, certain wave conditions, or conditioning for mental stability or health improvement. You have years of great insight and giving it away free may be doing yourself a disservice. Your resume is huge! Sky is the limit for you guys!! Best of luck! Keep it up!! Excited to see the growth.
Awesome pod boys ! I love hearing about your growing up together on the North Shore and how your paths have paralleled each other's to your mutual benefits. I'm a townie. I grew up surfing China Walls, Pillars, Seconds, Turtles and Half Point. When I moved to the North Shore for 5 years I got to witness first hand just what a tight knit little surf community it is. Jamie and the Florence brothers' really epitomize what it's like growing up with the best waves in the world in your back yard and sharing them with some of the best surfers in the world. Keep up the good work boys ! 😛🤙
Just wanted to say that was the best conversation I have heard in a few years. Every second was worthwhile. That happens rarely in this life. Thanks to both of you.
Aloha! I want to say how good it is to listen to you guys talk about living your best life and you can see the aloha you both have for each other and how your families have been there and Jamie being uncle . likely pushing them yelling GO FAKA !
I love all the You Tube channels from you guys at North Shore. Each of you has their own style and energy.... Thank you so much! When I was surfing in the 70s all we had was th movies like Jamie was saying and surfer magazine.... Gerry is our goat, but you guys are awesome! I can watch surfing 24 hours a day and we could not do that 50 years ago...
First off, Thank you guys for putting the time into your shows. I enjoy watching them all. A little idea to maybe cool down the competition between you guys, is to release your videos on different days. I've never really paid attention to what the release dates are but maybe could help you all on the initial roll out of your videos. Off course the long run will be the same as peoples habits will have them watching them all one after the other. Any way was surprised that there is a competition on views since I watch both your shows. Thanks again!!! Keep it up!!!
being a scottish surfer it was so cool to see nat going way deep into scotlands coast n get good wave n rip, their all cool guys to watch n hear what they got to say,
This was awesome. As a musician who also makes content on all these places - it’s cool to hear the surf take and as always, Nathan - you explain things in a way that MAKES SENSE. Another important thing I’ve learned is that companies will give you brand deals/sponsors based on your conversions and it really has nothing to do with how many views you get. Of course, you don’t get the views, you don’t get contacted in the 1st place 😅
Damn, loving the podcast. I just want to be there and ask questions. Nate when are you going back to Aileen's, that was so sick. Jamie that brown barrel you got in Mexico I've never seen better.
You guys are killing it! Kudos to J.O.B for having the vision to pull the next generation into the RUclips content world. And Burt too! You guys get it!
I came here to say that I found your videos Jamie, And this lead me to finding Nate, Koa, gravy, and zeke and I watch everyone’s videos religiously now
Nate said something about, the athletes actually have power (through content creation)... If only people from all the other sports realized it, and did the same thing. For the longest time I absolutely hated sports. Didn't play them, didn't watch them. But recently, through youtube, I've seen all kinds of awesome content, first from climbers, and then surfers, and even as someone who had nothing to do with either one, the content was just so awesome, and it was so fun watching these world class athletes who were passionate about what they do, just doing their thing, that now I'm subbed to several sport related channels. Never would have thought this would be the case. But that's what happens when great talent brings itself to the public in this kind of way.
I watch all you guys stuff. plus Koa's and sometimes even Kreisher. Just enough time to surf and be a semi functional individual in between Much love Brudahs
Fascinating and enlightening - the nuts and bolts But can you imagine the Mason Ho Podcast? Lava Lamps, black llghts and everything 😻 But seriously - JOB and Nathan Florence....brilliant!
great episode guys . Hats off to both you guys the thing that blows me away about Nathan and Jamie is there ability to paddle around with a GoPro jammed in there mouth. If you haven't done it give it ago.
I am psyched to see Nate and JOB in one podcast. Neighbors and long time friends from the most iconic 7 mile in surfing. I would have thought opposing podcasts (JOB and Nate n Koa) but there's just too much talent and fun to go around no problems. North Shore guys have psyche-appeal !
I like the criteria and the way the wsl pushes competitive surfing . Your ability to do it all! I like the point system and the Qs. I can’t be jealous of kids getting sponsored in todays environment . You have social media and your surfing that sells you . I can see why Nate wouldn’t like the tour . He doesn’t have the bag needed to compete . He’s a gnarly surfer but it’s two different games
THIS is the future of professional surfing. WSL is a dead horse being flogged to its not to distant death. Behind both these guys social persona are two VERY sharp minds who know the exact value of self promotion in today's social media landscape. Congratulations to you both for creating and being in charge of your own career and future

WSL standards don't reward full on surfing. What rates higher, Mark Healey on Waimea left or a slash at Lower's? Noooo comparison
Netflix got nothing on this
Are you kidding? This whole podcast is them looking for the psychological edge over the other for the next session at Pipe.
I’m 55 and been surfing my entire life and to me Nates channel is my favorite! He doesn’t try hard. He’s probably the most real. It just feels so raw. Not all about saying like and subscribe. yeah thanks for that JOB!
Uncle Jamie is the jefe
Nathan is showing the surfing world how the future looks like. The WSL is simply a centralized, outdated and politiziced product. Surfing is all about the freedom to roam and explore. Good on ya Nathan for all you do!
totally agree about WSL.
yes and jamie too
The WSL does have *so positive that it's negative commentary and shit claims, but aside from that it's clearly where the level is being pushed.
I s
wsl was doomed the moment they chose an investor to run it
wow the last 5 minutes made me realize how cool and smart Jamie actually is, respect. 🙌
Remains me growing up, you guys hold each other up with respect, thanks for sharing. See you guys in the lineup.
Nate is such the man when jamie gives nate props nate returns it like a pure gentleman
Nathan is my favorite florence brother
The long awaited collaboration with the living legends!
this is gold, nice work Jamie. Love hearing the lineup perspectives and laughs. Nate has been on a freaking quest and its amazing. Glad his back is strong and as everyone else who watches Nate's channel says: "we want more Mahina narration"
Mahina! no offense Nate dog 🙈🙉🙊😻
I’m from sc never surfed a wave in my life but I enjoy watching koa, nate and Jamie’s channels just to purely learn about surfing from the greatest!
Hey there’s fun waves in SC once in a while. Get out there and give it a shot
Bro, The culture created around the three of you is incredible. I'm taking notes.
Nate has a lot of understanding.. the man thinks… and now hes free… thats powerful! Bless him! Its all about sharing man! Love wisdom honesty! Thats always good! Maybe thats how to deal with the juggle, sharing! We are all in it together! Rockin the same boat!
Great guest. Definitely keep doing podcasts. Enjoy each of them. Psyched
I could listen to you guys talk about the lineup dynamics all day long. KEEP GOING JAMIE don’t give up on the pod
Right?
I had no idea that Makua is a seriously respected OG on the Pipe lineup.
JOB talking about him surfing 60+ at 17yrs old was really eye opening.
JOB Killing it as always! So stoked on this podcast
40:55 one of the realest testimonies … everyone can relate
That was great.
Didnt know JOB was Uncle Jamie to the Florence crew.
I love how you guys raise yourselves above the machine. Like a comment below, personally I don't see you guys as competitors, I see you as innovators in actual surfing freedom. This was an epic interview on many levels. If anyone reads this comment, watch this interview in full. It's one to save.
Love seeing so many comments here! Jamie O’Brien, you’re a wonderful interviewer, so interesting and fun to watch, keep it coming!!😊😊
What an episode! Enjoyed a lot this warm convo. The respect they have for each other, the history. Cant wait for a session with JJ, Kelly, JOB and Nate.
This episode makes me so damn glad to see.
These have been great, and remind me of the Occ-cast (which you were on one). Could be sick to do a reversal and have occy come for the job cast!
for real those occ-casts were great
Hahaha I forgot about the occ cast
Dude this is too sick. Y’all are my 2 favorite surfers. Can we get Jamie on the Nate and Koa podcast?
Oh boy this was so much better! You can tell straight away how both of you are so relaxed in this conversation, and all that comes out is pure gold. Really inspiring people, thanks for sharing this with all of us
Over coming fear...all i need ro hear... thanks Nathan.... thanks JOB. Words of wisdom... excellent podcast 👏👌

Great interview! One of the best and I really enjoyed it. It was nice to see JOB more mellow and not psyched on the psych juice
This was a solid convo/podcast. Well done J.O.B and Nathan!
Nathan is such a wel mannered guy well spoken humble ... Dig him
Been following this whole crew recently and im amazed at the honesty these guys speak. It's so refreshing, would love my kids to grow up around this kind of inspirational vibe. It's raw and real, thanks guys.
Inspiring, you guys push me to rehab my way back in the water, thanks for the psyching
Glad the podcast is back! Definitely hit the refresh button a bunch of times last Friday hoping something would appear 😅
Once you start, impossible to stop before it's over. Such a good interview
really nice guys thanks!
more material talk would be super super sick, about why and what to ride what shaper etc.
That would be so dope the lot of you all surfing around the world together ❤️
I appreciate you Jamie & Nathan for highlighting the importance of curating a healthy social media presence to make a name for yourself properly in the surfing world. It's a lot right now but it will pay off. Keep at the podcast. Thank you for showcasing my favourite surfers and truly being so wild at Pipe. Peace & Love Bro 🙏🏽.
Great content JOB!!! Both you stay after it. Keep investing in yourselves!

Man, that'd be so cool; Nate and John chasing the best swells all around the world. Whatever John wants to do, he can do it.
Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo was waiting for this one 🤙🏾
Awesome pod boys ! I love hearing about your growing up together on the North Shore and how your paths have paralleled each other's to your mutual benefits.

For putting it all out there 🤙🏼
Nathan is going to change the game… and he will need everyone he loves and he loves a lot
Just wanted to say that was the best conversation I have heard in a few years. Every second was worthwhile. That happens rarely in this life. Thanks to both of you.

I’m never going to be good enough to surf pipe but this podcast episode was super interesting and fun. Love the good vibes.
being a scottish surfer it was so cool to see nat going way deep into scotlands coast n get good wave n rip, their all cool guys to watch n hear what they got to say,
Another awesome episode. Thanks boys
I hope both podcasts stay around I watch both They are different and thats a good thing.
J.O.B podcast is totally psyching!! Content is 🔥

Great PodCast. Jamie I would say you are also an Artist with Vision has kept you ahead of the curve.
My favorite part is Jamie consistently bringing it back to, "who you got you and everyone started kid?" haha
You guys are killing it! Kudos to J.O.B for having the vision to pull the next generation into the RUclips content world. And Burt too! You guys get it!
John needs to win take a that year off and you boys need to start a slab tour. The fans get to pick the guests on this slab tour!
Such a great convo. Love this! Look forward to future episodes. ❤🏄♂️🤙
Fascinating insight into the lives of two of my favourite surfers.
Both of these lads changed the game in different ways
Love those temp checks. You r Good 💝 Shine On ☝️😃🪶
Salute and Blessings to both of you Major League Legends.
Best part is the positive comments about the show and Nate and Job.
I came here to say that I found your videos Jamie,
And this lead me to finding Nate, Koa, gravy, and zeke and I watch everyone’s videos religiously now
Great part about how JJ and Ivan skated, how it fed into their airs and how Nate moved away from it, thanks for asking Jamie
Awesome interview. I learned a lot from these two of the best surfers in the world. Super interesting👍🏄♀️🇲🇽
Job def started the RUclips game. JOB and Nate are two of my favorite channels!

adding in a discuss the clip or wave section would be epic.
Two absolute legends. Best one yet
I watch all you guys stuff. plus Koa's and sometimes even Kreisher. Just enough time to surf and be a semi functional individual in between Much love Brudahs
Fascinating and enlightening - the nuts and bolts
But can you imagine the Mason Ho Podcast? Lava Lamps, black llghts and everything 😻
But seriously - JOB and Nathan Florence....brilliant!
Huge fan of the podcast, Jamie! Hope your investment catches steam. Really enjoy hearing the long conversations with people from your world 🤙
The two surfers I follow the most as a bodyboarder. Love the content guys.
great episode guys . Hats off to both you guys the thing that blows me away about Nathan and Jamie is there ability to paddle around with a GoPro jammed in there mouth. If you haven't done it give it ago.
Two very respectable humans keeping it real…👏👏👏✨
Jamie, when do you team up with John John 🤔... he can do a Breif special gust while on tour ..
Great podcast, keeping it real!
Good luck on your future endeavours.
That was so Cool.. Interesting and heaps of good laughs.. Loved it..
Love Nate!
Exactly, this way makes a lot more sense for all of them, they can go on eachothers show and in the long run, help eachother out. It's a win, win.
They’re symbiotic fully
I like the criteria and the way the wsl pushes competitive surfing . Your ability to do it all! I like the point system and the Qs. I can’t be jealous of kids getting sponsored in todays environment . You have social media and your surfing that sells you . I can see why Nate wouldn’t like the tour . He doesn’t have the bag needed to compete . He’s a gnarly surfer but it’s two different games
Dude I love this! Jaime talking about his lineup mind games is so funny and interesting.
Bumped into Jamie in Laguna over the weekend. Dudes a warrior but is also a kind human. He’s the Kanye West of surfing, trailblazer
Nate dawg, love seeing bros hanging out 🤙
Ivan snoring true the storm under his flatten tent....😂😂😂😂 cool stories!
Thank You Guys
Raw Roots Conversations
Amazing content ! Keep it up Jamie
THIS is the future of professional surfing. WSL is a dead horse being flogged to its not to distant death.
Behind both these guys social persona are two VERY sharp minds who know the exact value of self promotion in today's social media landscape.
Congratulations to you both for creating and being in charge of your own career and future
Great podcast! Thx both
