The manual doesn't list this fix. I tried everything to clear it. Removed the cell, cleaned it, checked the chlorine levels in the pool ... everything seemed OK but I was still getting this annoying error. Followed your instructions & fixed it in 30secs - thank you for sharing this mate, bloody legend !

Hello Mr Pool, my Zodiac Chlorinator, quite new, stops making Chlorine. “Message: PH too low. In my installation, both sensors Ph and Ch, are fixed to the vertical pipe, (after pool water been filtered,) in a horizontal position. Sensors are the first step after filtering. Warm water is not sent to the sensors. But being placed horizontally , does this really affect the correct ph and Chl mesure ? Thank you!💚
Finally got rid of the annoying message, which is not stated on the manual at all!. The manufacturer is pushing us to buy a new cell!

So the 6000 hour thing, is that a "you need to replace your cell" interval or is it just an error to force a clean or service? I've just had it show up on mine, 6005 hours showing after I've followed your instructions. The cell itself looks in good condition, a little build up on the very edges but definitely nothing big or widespread across the thing.
its just a general maintenance thing, the reset should sort it

Is there a reason for this chlorinator to run the acid pump non stop even if you set it up to stop checking the pH? Thanks in advance
No it should never run non stop! I would get this checked on site by a pro!
awesome thanks so much! Can you please do a video of how to change over a zodiac tri salt cell? there seems to be a trick to it as there is a lip on the bottom of the cell I cant get the cell into the chamber x

Hi mate do you know how to reset the cell life hours on a H2flo chlorinator?
1. Set Chlorinator Output to 16% and press ENTER.
2. Turn unit OFF and back ON.
3. At the SPLASH screen, press the DOWN and ENTER buttons at the same time. The
'zero cell hours'-screen will appear.
4. Ensure the arrow is pointing to ZERO CELL HOURS and press ENTER. Please note that you won't see anything happening.
5. Move arrow down to EXIT and press ENTER. The unit will now reboot.
6. You can now check if cell hours have been zeroed in the SYSTEM INFO submenu (press Menu, use arrow buttons to scroll down to system info and press ENTER).
7. If for some reason the cell hours were not reset, please repeat the steps above.

Hi I hope you can help. I get an error output fault on my Zodiac Tri unit, I think it’s from 2011 :/
Hi, To clear the output fault try this - Press the up and down button at the same time until the unit turns itself off. This is a hard reset, so you will need to reset the clock and timers as well. If the chlorinator just needed a reset this will fix it. If the OUTPUT FAULT continues to show, unfortunately the unit needs repair or replacement. Resetting it fixes this about 50% of the time - Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns

I found it. Press and hold the 'minute' button. Press 'hours' to clear.

Any ideas to clear this for a Zodiac Ei Xpert Mid-Size?
On the EI Expert the check cell message is an indicator that something is wrong. Check the cell for signs of wear, for example the cell plates. It could be time to replace your cell.
