Really, just excellent content. It's clear how much focus and effort and time has gone in to the techniques and applications you're presenting. Really very impressive.

@kitsune-klan yeah , yeah also your all my spirit animal because of the badass cosplay and the fact that you chased down the reality applications of fantasy weapons. I'm super jelly that you have friends to do that with, and also super glad for that blessing for you. Keep them close:-)

Nice control sparing partners, it shows your group has spent a lot of time just learning how to .. relax.

Is that not the secret behind most martial arts? Thanks!

None of this is fighting, it is very very well executed choreography I’ll give you that. But it’s certainly not fighting.
If your goal isn’t to be good at fencing/sword fighting in the real sense, that’s fine. You can make all sorts of creative content with well executed choreography.
My point is simply, if you do want to actually get into fencing, what you are doing now, is not cutting it.

I respect your view of course, but I need to comment on that. I have been teaching martial arts for 30 years and I know there are different ways to approach it. We present in the videos more of the technical side, yet most of it is not choreographed, but carful freeplay. As pointed out you can simulate certain things with different equippment, fighting in the "real" sense can never be achieved in a safe environment. I see less sense in repeating aspects here what others already do. If you like to see more competetive fencing there are channels like sellswordarts and many smaller ones. What I train and what we show here are two things. Hope you still continue watching, maybe at least for the technical aspect.
