TBG Tool Trailer Work 2024

Tool Trailer work weekend video. Huzzah!
Temple Builders Guild owns and maintains a huge Tool Trailer. It is the Mother Ship for all workers helping to build the Temple at Burning Man. It is chock full of every sort of tool needed to build a major structure on playa. And then some.
Last weekend a small and dedicated crew emptied the entire trailer to make sense of it all. The “and then some” items found homes elsewhere. They created space. They removed dust. They made a record of what exists, and what is needed. A massive undertaking. Kudos to all.
In my view, this trailer is a Magical Creature of sorts. Do you need a tool? State what you need and it will appear. Are you a frazzled photographer in deep panic? (I’m thinking of myself in near melt-down last year.) Speak. Are you an artist for another project on the playa? Perhaps you and your project manager said to each other "I thought YOU packed the hammer!"
This is when you approach the Wizard at the Tool Trailer. He will say "wait here" and disappear into the darkness. He might emerge with exactly what you need. If not, you didn’t need it.
The TBG Tool Trailer is a tool library, maintained as an act of service for each new Temple artist, and many others.
