You mentioned only stapling 2 sides of the wire mesh was necessary but how do you staple the other side of the mesh if the other side is already stapled? You've inspired me to make these but I want to make sure I understand each step. These are beautiful by the way! Thanks for the video.
Great question! This project definitely requires brute force! It isn’t conventional but with a little elbow grease you can accomplish wonderful things! Thankfully the mesh is super bendable so if you have to fold it and twist it I would! There isn’t a complete correct way to do it, I would just apply lots of pressure to make sure the other side doesn’t hinder you from stapling the unstapled sides!
you only need to cut two sides of the mesh to start if positioned properly. If you can find plastic mesh rather than hardware cloth it will be easier to cut using just scissors. Don't cut the plastic until it and the mesh is stapled in place. Netting like orange bags works too for the mesh retainer. Or you can skip the retainer altogether if you drill holes around the top wooden sides and use dowels or metal rods to pierce the root balls holding them in place. Be sure not to drill the holes all the way through on the bottom and opposing side, just halfway to receive the rods.
Very cool but the one issue I have found with succulent boxes is that the roots start to rot from lack of air because of the plastic on the bottom of the box and no drainage holes. Maybe put some kind of stain on the wood to seal it and water proof it and add drainage holes for air flow. 🤔
Thanks for sharing! These are beautiful and I love your technique! I will definitely have to try to do one! How long before you water them? Also do you grow your own succulents or buy them at stores? 😊
Very pretty and soothing to look at :) Thank you :)
i really enjoyed this! thank you! i will try my own. how do you water them?

So do you suggest maybe drilling little holes on the back side?

Thank you mom😘🙏🏻💜
the soil won't fall down to the bottom?
I had those planters for almost an entire without issues,
What Moss were you using?
Proflora forest moss! You can find it at any craft store and your local Walmart!
Why didn't you add the soil before before installing the screen? Would have been easier.
I was wondering that too because I’ve also seen others do the same as he did.
I just found that it was easier for me but you can tweak the steps to make it work for you! 😊
