@LilyBranco Of course, it's all in the selection of the right plants! I'm in Canada, so I would use perennials because they grow back each spring after snow.
Hi, this is a great interview...a man of such energy and passion ! That garden at Musee de Orsay caught me by suprise...I was walking past and felt this refreshing spray...then discovered the trickling water coming down the wall. I looked up...and it was incredible. The phenomenon of vertical gardens has started here in South Africa. I'm proposing a program on vertical gardens for an environmental TV program. This is a great interview any chance of us using some of the original footage ?
Not to mention the environmental benefits, which I noticed didn't get much of a mention here. As well as the obvious improvements to air quality by removing harmful particulates, CO2, etc - but also supporting wildlife species such as bees and butterflies. I like the use of Heuchera too. Didn't realise I could use it 'vertically' on all the boring walls around my garden. I wonder exactly what sort of felt is used in this sort of planting, anyone know where to find it?
@@mauryroblovich Thanks Maureen! I'll look them up! (This vertical gardening is certainly a lovely idea. I've watched a few related vids now and think it's worth having a go at it!)
@@Yoliplanting 🤔funny...I actually looked him up...there was only one picture of him from years ago, the rest being mostly of him in that one green shirt...and nothing but old webpages besides. Clearly a drugaddict, but, I hope your Google search is correct . . .🖖
@FiteNoMore It's not vague at all. Vertical gardens are beautiful and original and Patrick is a world-renowned exterior designer. You're the one assuming that something can't be art because it smells musty and has bugs. Just because you lack imagination and your parents shorted you on Arts and Academics academy when you were a kid doesn't make you a professional critic, sport. Then again you're probably one of those guys who owns a fake plant because he has no concept of upkeep or responsibility
I dont know what the interviewer's background is, but I really hope his day job has nothing to do with horticulture. 'Are there any plants you won't use ?' is beyond naive.
Hiyaaaa! Have you heard about - zrumplina diy aquaponics (should be on google have a look)? Ive seen some extraordinary things about it and my BF grew excellent veggies with it.
This is so beautiful and uplifting!! I hope these living walls spread to more places around the world so they can make people who look at them happy.
Wowwww Patrick bland is surely doing the best job for our earths climate and greenery 🌹💋🌴🌽🌱🇵🇰
This is amazing, now we need to start growing gardens on roofs.
