I just received mine today. This watch is honestly amazing, it’s different and stands out from any other seiko watch because of those awesome, vivid orange accents with the petina indices against the black dial. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and it fits very well. I would however recommend using the black silicon strap instead of the fabric one due to the fabric adding extra thickness onto the wrist and overall, the black silicon looks cleaner in my opinion. The price is a little bit steep but really, I couldn’t find anything else that has this sort of classic, sporty look with a touch of colour.

Yeah dude it still looks the part, the coating is solid and still looks sharp especially when I have accidentally banged the watch on door frames when walking through or clumsily dropped it on the ground. I did however have to get it serviced 3 months back because it was running slow and was outside of the +- 15 seconds per day parameters. It now runs about +5-6 secs per day so it’s fairly decent, it’s kinda hit or miss with the 6R35 movement I guess.
I tried one on the wrist yesterday in a store. very nice. fun fact. that new nato is not only amazing, but it is the first strap every from anyone that fits my 9.5" wrist with holes to spare.

@@TZOID08 you really never actually owned a 6r are 4r cause if you did you'd know there way more accurate . I've seen many Seikos on watch graphs usual 4- 4+ are better
That's only cause you know not of what U speak. So very easy to get it within 5 sec after the break-in period. But you probably thought only women bleed !@@TZOID08

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion (definitely watch noob) but I don't like nato straps. Strap adjustment really needs to be prioritized more in general, but my nato strap watches are always more inconvenient to where when compared to...well...anything else?
The NATO is designed to go OVER the nearest keeper and tuck into the next keeper. Its supposed to be overlong and fairly thin for ease of tucking. Unfortunately many makers get this wrong.
Cool watch but I would throw away those straps or at least never use them. Like you I can’t stand tuck straps. I think I prefer the green lume night vision version.
Come on, you've tried other Seiko models with these fabric straps, you know the floating keeper is bigger. I know you struggled also with the SPB 239 ;)

When Seiko stops being lazy on accuracy I'll consider them. I own a JDM SBDC111 and it's not terrible but the 6r35 accuracy is listed as Accuracy: +25/-15 sec/day .... That's just horrible.
@@phillippugh2161 Then Seiko should " Stop being Lazy" and make better accuracy claims..... FACT.... Go to their website and look at the accuracy claims on their movements. I know of many that get watches that are + - 15-25 sec and the bezel is misaligned and Seiko believes that's acceptable.

Right now Seikos have never been more popular reason RUclipsrs like to show case them . And the fact that your here now .....right ??. Hey if know of a better $1200 watch you should buy it and not worry about Seiko... just saying

I have quite a few 4r and 6r movements and never had more than + or -6 second deviation, more than enough accuracy for the price range, and easily as good as my Omegas, Breitling and Tudor.
Great that means the watch will be in stock . You should maybe ..I don't know stop showing up on Seiko post to just tell use that . The 200 Seiko watch days are over ..there you've been warned

I got a 6R35 Prospex model as my first automatic watch and it's currently in for warranty repair because the movement would randomly stop. There are definitely some good 6R35s out there, too. On RUclips I've seen timegrapher tests of some running under COSC, while others are running -19 seconds/day. It feels like such a gamble spending so much on a Seiko and needing to worry about bezel alignment and movement quality.

There's very few Seiko divers that really knock my socks off but this one does it. Killer watch, and that lume... wowzers.

I love mine too (101/5500). The quality of this peace is at pair with watches costing twice. The lume is way better than on my double priced Longines.

For the nato you fold it over the keeper and tuck it under the floating one. Ive always done my natos like that. It looks better imo

Looks cool but my problem with Seiko is that I cannot see the difference between a 200$ or 1200$ Seiko.

No 6r are 4r is that inaccurate Ive tested them an have seen many on RUclips all plus are minus 3 to 4 Sec . Those are the fact

I will not buy a $1200 unregulated watch from Seiko it looks nice but not worth the price. Buy a Mido there nice IMO.

There is no such thing as a watch that looks good with a rubber, leather, or nylon strap.
