People who say that are usually referring to the comics where the suit looks like a regular suit, and Peter mistakes it for a regular suit. They probably don’t like that Peter either mistakes this clearly alien lookin suit for a normal suit or purposefully puts on the alien suit.

I don’t think a lot of you guys know your stuff. Because, yes, it’s “slimy and alive”, but not after it bonds to Peter. Nobody is supposed to be able to tell that he’s wearing a living alien. He himself doesn’t know it in the original comics. I’m still confident that Spider-Man 2 is gonna be a great game, but I absolutely understand (and even agree) with the argument that it’s too “slimy and alive”.

@@GeorgeTooCur1ousit's an intelligent alien parasite. Im pretty sure the #1 thing a parasite wants to do is not let its host know that they are taking advantage of their host. With the Venom's numorous abilities, is would want to camouflage itself until the time is right for it to take control of its host. Unless it knows that Peter will completely surrender himself to its contol or is desperate to stay with Peter, it would not want to risk being seen as a threat so it remains bonded.

However I kinda like this one better, I like that it brings new combat other than the regular punching and kicking, and maybe Peter does know, maybe we can chuck it up to the fact that the suit is evolving as it takes over, because I'm the trailer, Peter is obviously more aggressive showing that the symbiote is taking effect. The suit could become more symbiote like as it takes over Peter's mind

People tend to forget that the black suit isn't just a suit, IT'S A LITERAL CREATURE. The symbiote is a literal living creature that attacks with tendrils and slime. That's what it is. It's bullcrap that a lot of series tend to just make it so that it makes him edgy and hit harder when he first experiences it. Insomniac's black suit is actually faithful to the fact that Venom is alive and dangerous, especially when bonded to someone.
Clearly none of them watched the venom movie, like that is literally the best version of venom I've seen in a very long time

It's funny how everyone givin hate about the back suit but the animated suit was slimmy 1 2 the suit was not all the suits was the same people just don't read comics or watched the cartoons growin up
I thoroughly appreciate the level of detail that went into the black suit. I love how the tentacles that Peter makes use the mass from the suite leaving holes in it, showing that they don't get extra mass out of nowhere and have to use parts of the suit to make them.
I love the trailers don't get me wrong but the symbiote skin texture does look pretty bad , but it Isn't the final product, and I appreciate that , so any actual criticism towards that is good

The slimy look for Peter's symbiote suit is way better than what we received in past Spider-Man media. The tendrils add more to the combat so it's not the same old kicks and punches. It makes the suit feel more alive, showing how Venom is slowly taking control. I'm so excited for this game!

Literally every Villain in SM2 looked really faithful to their comic counterpart, Insomniac did a very good job, and had a great selection of unique comics they chose for the story. Possibly the best visual representation of Spider-Man to date. And also not to mention, Venom was done extremely well, and it’s incredible the amount of small details that were put into both 1 and 2. Like how Matt Murdock’s office was in the first game and he moved out in the second game, so the plaque was blank, Insomniac did Spider-Man damn near as good as the comics do Spider-Man. 9/10 game (would be 10/10 if it had maybe 5-10 more hours of playability, or NG+ which I know is coming and once it does that’ll shoot my score to a perfect 10/10) plus Insomniac is getting with literal artists to help them make all new original suits for this Spider-Man universe, the amount of dedication they have for the webhead is astounding.

Literally every Prince of persia game, Arkham game, call of duty game etc. etc. lol
Idk the Arkham series switched it up enough. The first game was more of a congested, close corridors environment. Arkham City was much bigger and felt more open ended, both in narrative and the order of gameplay. Arkham origins was p derivative but had standout boss fights. And half of Arkham knight’s gameplay was an entirely new mechanic (ie the Batmobile)

As an Xbox player I really like that a Spider-Man game finally got a good symbiote “skin” or “outfit” and I have friends who are PlayStation owners so I might be able to play this amazing game someday. I’m just happy to see that insomniac actually cares about Spider-Man to make a game that looks good that isn’t even out yet
I hope Microsoft will make cod a Xbox exclusive game and hope that Sony and Microsoft will make Spider-Man and cod non version exclusive

For the most part, it looks good. My only actual reasonable complaints are the water splashes when Miles is jumping in the water(the last games water effect looked better), the arcade like circle rings when you’re gliding(kinda breaks the immersion for me), and the graphics when Kraven was smiling at the tablet(that’s the only part to me that looks really old gen).
Yeah, but I guess those can be excused by saying they aren’t fully done yet if you want. (besides the rings, I completely agree with what you’re saying about those)
rings are there for gameplay. its a video game. and besides being a PS5 AAA game. im pretty sure you can turn that off in the accesibilyy options
I’d say the rings are a byproduct of the mask’s AR system. A couple times in MM when you went into first person, it showed that the player and Spider-Man have the same HUD layout. So the mask probably highlights wind currents/tunnels where Spider-Man can get a speed boost

Don't get me wrong, 1st one's was pretty good too but this game's exceeded my expectations especially with Harry as Agent Venom for a while, Kraven killing previous bosses, Lizard vs Symbiote Spidey, Pete vs. Miles, Martin Li's redemption, Scream, Anti-Venom, Wraith and Carnage, so much.
