TRAVEL: Estelí, Nicaragua. The Sights & Sounds

This is a tour of the sights and sounds of Estelí, Nicaragua. A pleasant small city in the northern province of Estelí, is home to more than 200,000 people. Despite being a frontline of the revolution in 1978 and suffering severe damage from fire bombing and tragedy from ground forces, Estelí has turned into a peaceful "diamond of the Segovias."
There is much that can be said about Estelí, including that is the city with the best climate in Nicaragua, but a walk around the city center is worth more than a thousand words.
70% of Nicaragüence's live on less than US$1 a day, with large families most often sharing the same house to pool resources, money and labor.
