Turns out the model I have is the S801, pretty much same as the S800 but with a roasted maple fretboard. Sorry for the confusion but this is a model version that y'all can look forward to 🙂

The roasted maple neck & fretboard look better indeed. I don't understand if you can use this guitar live with a regular jack+ amp while being able to switch between the preselected sounds with the footswitch. Or does it need to be connected with the usb cable?
@@raphaelklemm2806 The onboard effects also go through the 1/4" jack and it's controlled by the wireless footcontroller via Bluetooth.
You can program a preset that bypasses the onboard effects so you can use it as a regular guitar running into a pedalboard and amp.
The USB cable allows you to plug into your phone/computer and it will show up as an audio input device

Hm, you have the same with a floor multi fx. And more by playing on a laptop with a amp sim and vst rack software. I use gig performer with Scuffham S-gear and MidiGuitar2 as guitar synth. Unbeatable.
I'd love to see an update that would enable the footswitch to act in stompbox mode - toggle on/off separate FX within one preset.
I hope they make a guitar that could instantly change tunings, steve vai has one guitar built by his tech that could instantly change tunings

I got mine a week ago (same colour/neck as this one) and already did a small gig with it. It was great. Simple setup, direct to PA. I'll try and do some videos on it. It took some time dialling in a few tones I found useable. I don't dig the FX all that much, but I like a couple of amp models, the Pureboost and the noise gate/compressor do a useful job (but not simultaneously, sadly).
I plan to use it with an external delay pedal and maybe even not use the footswitch all the time, relying on one preset for main sound and using the pickup switch to go from clean to dirty.
Seeing as they stamped the bridge with "GTRS" it would have been nice if they'd done the same on the bridge pickup cover!
Looking forward to your video of a real time recording of your performance in a gig.
I suggest you get someone to record directly from the pa system. using hand phone or mic to record will inevitably take in all the surrounding sounds which will definitely spoil the recording.
Hello, please tell me how in this guitar in the application from the cloud (downloads) to "get" already what was recorded on Looper?
I like these innovations. I dream of a day where I can just turn up to a gig with only my guitar and maybe a foot controler and an XLR cable.
But that is only if it lasts.
Only time will tell.
Besides that, nice looking guitar. I like the headstock and the roasted maples.
I'd love it if they can make one with SSS pup config though, so I have a proper SSS strat when I have all the digital electronics turned off.
Great concept I'm thinking of getting one for practice and gigs for an all in one solution. I moved to the middle east and have non of my gear except a classical...I'm ok plz don't cry for me 😆
your recommendations were excellent - i would asked for the same enhancements. Also make sure that future usb types be compatible, like make the usbc port modular - also ability to swap out different pickups. Make some standard where you can by your own pickups and they are compatible with this guitar, just plug them in! I do not like the idea of having to use their pickups. I like my favs.

The body thickness looks a little thinner than a standard strat, probably similar to the Squire Bullet or Affinity range. Perhaps you can confirm this please?

Hi Perfecto! Got a couple of questions.
1. So, if I wanted to plugin to the desk, I just have to take the 1/4" out from the guitar straight into the desk right?
2. The wireless footswitch only allows for preset changes, no individual pedal control? If so, is there any delay between preset changes?
3. Does the tremolo stay in tune? What is the nut made of?
4. What is the weight of the guitar? Is it heavier than the typical strat?

1. Yes, 1/4" output goes into the mixer or a powered speaker for live use.
2. Yes, so far only presets. Preset changes are comparable to typical modern multifx, very quick.
3. I have an upcoming video where I setup this guitar's trem system. Should be out soon. Now that the setup is settled down, it's been pretty stable. It's not a Floyd Rose, though haha
4. Mine tips in at 8lbs 9oz.

S = Strat Standard / P = Pro / M = Metal but they all do metal well even the blues once you’ve hear it you can play it theory lives in this guitar helping you shape a tone without buying every pedal known to man like I have done 😂

This sorta reminds me of the line 6 variax. It's a brilliant idea that is theoretically useful, but requires me to abandon my favorite guitars which took me decades to experiment with and settle on. This tech could easily be designed to install in a wide variety of existing guitar models. I don't like being baited into buying a whole guitar.
Mooer Prime P1 is the same tech but in an iPod format

Was there any latency in the D.I. portion of the guitar? Also, were you able to put a wah pedal in the chain to the D.I?
No real latency, feels like playing thru any modern multifx. An actual wah would be difficult to use since all the amp modeling would come from the guitar. The Auto Wah is surprisingly good, tho

Hi Perf, I heard you said rosewood. I hope you’d read this comment and can give me and other viewers an insight. Is CITES still an issue today? I wanted to get a used guitar from abroad and have it shipped to New Zealand. The problem is that it has a rosewood fretboard. I’m worried that I might have a big problem if I decided to pull the trigger. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to save presets so you Can shift between Them with the knob ?
Yup, up to 40 presets. And yes, there's a mode where you can use the knob to step thru the presets

Wow it seems really cheap for the quality of the guitar. I'd love to get one of these and put a fishman triple play in it for the ultimate guitar (although idk if it would fit behind the humbucker). Is this model available on indiegogo? I love the look of the fretboard. 24 fret would be even better but it's rarely needed for me
I think reaching a certain funding milestone will unlock this option

I think the concept is awesome, but I have a feeling that some of the electronics will stop working in a few years and it might be too costly and/or difficult to repair.
I hear that, but still cheaper than an MIM Fender, and one of my first mods with one of those is completely tearing out all electronics and soldering in all new CTS pots and better wire.
@@abarbee81 fender replacement parts are easily available, Mooer modelling electronics probably not so much.
@@espertempo True, but you can easily put traditional electronics in the GTRS if something goes wrong. Is there a history of Mooer kit stopping working, or is it arbitrary speculation? I think the point was that it's a decent value even just as a modern strat, before you even factor in the built-in multi-fx and pickup modelling.

You can’t listen on Bluetooth headphones since it doesn’t send wireless audio. But it does receive audio via Bluetooth so you can play with backing tracks using the GTRS sound and just monitor thru wired headphones
Does it work and sound good without any of the electronics being turned on? Like if the battery died would it still play

I have one question and that is headphones output. Is it a 3.5mm jack or does it Bluetooth?
You can plug headphones into the 1/4” jack with an adaptor and set it to headphones output in the app

No disrespect here, but just an honest opinion based on experience... the only concern here is, that USB C jack on the guitar is just NOT gonna last long (same issue with the Vox amplug), it's going to have Loose Contacts & disconnection problems overtime , after days or months of playing,,, because it's just way too small to be placed in such a hostile playing position, it's going to rub against anything & keeps on moving while your playing, I Hope Mooer & Other big companies can device BIGGER & robust USB jacks & connector that's really meant for Guitars in the future ,, that Guitar is great by the way, Peace
I agree with you. Tho the included USB-C cable is one of those magnet types with the removable plug, so you can leave the plug attached to the port and attach/detach the cable using the magnet, pretty smart on Mooer’s part. For the video I used my Apple USB-C cable since I was sitting down to record.
anyone figure out how to play the music from your phone (apple music) into your guitars headphones, so you can play along with it? OR is there an onboard feature? I remember reading and hearing this was a possibility but after getting my hands on one of these, I cant find the feature. any help is much appreciated. thanks!

1) I myself would pronounce "GTRS" as "GuiTaRS". ;-)
2) I landed on your video (among others) by searching for "GTRS S800", so I must be interested in the product.
I don't think I'll buy it. The combination of any Strat (like a Squier) and a multi-effect may both be cheaper and fulfill more wishes, and leave smartphone apps out of the set-up.
For a tiny multi-effect with foot switches on battery power, the Cube Baby (apparently by Cuvave, but available in many brands) might do the trick. For bigger ones, look with Mooer themselves (and elsewhere).
3) There are more guitars with effects built-in... ;-)
This is real innovation, talking to you Gibson 1959 blah blah blah 😅 I wish it had a single coil or hot rail bridge pickup, the humbucker ruins the look. Otherwise this is the future, well done Mooer

This worth almost 30k pesos ?? Hmmmm I rather buy a Fender Squire Classic Vibe - made in Indonesia . I like Mooer Effects since it's cheaper and good sounding pedal. But for this one for me it's too expensive for a china brand guitar.
but you have control with the digital pedal effects, cabinets and mics. I am using Amplitube and Ampkit on my Iphone. If I can't buy the Fender HSS Strat with ios support, this would be the next best alternative.
