You will have a hard time finding a 350whp NA Z. 330-335 is the norm. That last 15hp is not easy even with long tubes and Z1 or Motordyne manifold. My old 2011 v6 mustang with fbo beat my neighbors fbo 370z every time. usually a drivers race but I used to run low 13s at 106-107mph on the 1/4 and always lost to bone stock coyotes by 2-3 cars length. Now I drive a low-mid 11 second minor bolt on 5.0. I beat my buddies FBO 370z worse than this video. including bolt on 16 ss camaros. That's how I know that yes that coyote 5.0 is stock or has no more than a cai/tune.
Cody Miller actually the 5.0’s Or GT’s are around 3700 + lbs lol, sport 370 is around 3300 lbs max. 400+ lbs is a lot more weight, but the torque and 80 more hp does help make it faster. Pretty much a 340whp z should be able to beat a stock 5.0.

However, a manual transmission 11-14 GT will normally make around 370 at the wheels. An auto will usually make 360 wheel. A quick google search showed that most 370Z’s are making 270-280 at the wheels. So yes, a 340 wheel hp 370Z would likely be neck in neck with a stock 11-14 GT, but 340 wheel would be a fair bit of mods on a 370Z. I’m not hating on the 370Z, just stating the facts. I actually looked at buying a 370Z, but ended up getting a better deal on an ‘11 GT.
The Subarus didn't had any mods. I'm quite sure about that. I mean, you smoked the sti twice and the WRX as well in a legit manner. Subies are quick but a 370 Z is quicker if both are stock.
That’s one mean sounding VQ, hopefully I can start modding my G37 sedan soon. Good runs, took a modded Coyote to beat you, you have your bracket covered though.
I’d say between 2-3 years without a tune, you can install basic bolt ons and you won’t have issues besides getting a CEL. Now you do need a tune if you plan on installing 3” Intakes or any ported manifolds.
My 370Z has Sillen cold air intakes, racing headers, Full exhaust AND A TUNE. 375 horse power to the crank 312 horse power to the wheel. Yet my car does not rev as loud as the 370Z in this video. BUT IT DOES REV with a more Base sounding rev
Depends what you wanna use it for, track/drift get a manual, drag racing/rolls go with an Auto & the AT Transmissions will require its usual maintenance but so far I haven't had any issues and Ive been running for 30k + miles no issues.
richbf2, if you like the idea of driving standard transmission, having control of the car, and feeling the car-ness more, get the manual. It's a bit lighter, has less moving parts, and can be more fun.
Almighty Keys i got mine on a special at from Stillen. it was only $300 out the door (19 row). works really good. using the best oil wont help keep it cool, but will prevent oil break-down at the higher temps. i currently use mobil 1 full synthetic but on next change will switch to Motul, i have heard good thing about it.

I looked up this video after racing a 370 tonight my car is a 2013 5.0 catless no tune... I beat him by about the same as this 5.0 beat this 370. Except from a dig he drug my ass to about 60mph after that I catch up and pass him. That being said I assume hes all stock as well? Thanks for reading let me know what you guys think
