That Dragon Quest III HD-2D announcement was amazing, and they confirmed Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D. That alone was major. I'm glad it's getting a PS5 physical release in the US too.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom looks good but this gets me wondering if we're gonna see others get a remake release like Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages & Seasons, etc.
So great that we finally get Fantasian for consoles i have been waiting on this since you did your First Impressions in 2021
Me too! Can't wait to play the second half on a console or Steam! :D
Mario and Luigi Brothership comes out November 7th
🤦♂yep, I goofed. Looks like my mind auto-completed to the 11th like a dingus 'cause it's my dad's birthday. 😛
Oops
I'm so stocked for Mario & Luigi, I never expected another Mario & Luigi RPG after AlphaDream died.
So happy about it. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is still my favorit Mario RPG.
I really dig the artstyle they chose for Brothership
@@sarkastikwizard2204 same here! Loving the expressive animation style :)
You're welcome.

Thank you Freddy! Completely spaced out this last night!
Incredibly excited that The JRPG Weekly Update is back! Sharing this to my Facebook page for all my friends to see.
Awesome, much appreciated Joe!
Sakaguchi is the father of Final fantasy... i wonder is this means...that mistwalker will become part of square enix at some point and sakaguchi could lead the Final Fantasy Legacy remakes from now on...(it would make fans like me happy for sure)
I'm so dang excited for Dragon Quest 1-3! The HD2D never gets old!
Happy Sunday. I know the video came out yesterday but life. Thrilled about the DQ and Zelda announcements. However, now that I recapping everything a couple days later; that Mario Luigi announcement caught everybody off guard. What a dark horse announcement looking back on it now!
Never thought I'd see Marvelous try to cross Rune Factory over with Pikmin before, but honestly I'm kind of intrigued by Farmagia. Not sure about the graphical style, but willing to keep an eye out.
Between these and my intense love of Marvel vs Capcom, I jokingly said to friends that this Direct was made just for me xD
Jokes aside, I cannot believe how much this Direct delivered, especially with titles like the new Phantom Brave that I really never thought would be a thing. And I there's gonna be a trend if gorgeous remakes of SNES RPGs, I cannot believe how Romancing SaGa 2 looks!
that June Direct 2024 was insanely good, so much JRPGreatness ✨️
My poor wallet will be on life support the rest of the year 😅
Loving the return of weekly updates. Keep em coming man ❤️
Will do! Thanks dude!
We DID get Romancing SaGa 2 in the west as a remaster in 2016, dude. It is only now getting a full remake.
Oof, yeah you're totally right. Thanks for the correction. 🙃
he already was involved in the pixel remasters and he has been in square-enix´s good side since then....
Ok, if you make it to TMG on Saturday, I'm definitely getting pictures with the man, the myth, the legend!! 😄
Hyping responsibly👍
Awesome! See ya then!
My boi got a glow up!!
I will be at Toomanygames on Saturday, I will keep a look out for ya!
Awesome, hope I can see ya then!
The first Phantom Brave was so close to perfect, and then they ruined it all by not allowing you to have a defensive line. Hopefully people can't just literally walk all over each other this time. If they fix that, it could be amazing.
Those new DQ games are looking better than Octopath Traveler. Somehow Octopath just didn't integrate the character sprites with the backgrounds very well (to me, at least). These new games look a lot better at making the whole picture look cohesive.
So much JRPG joy for my heart....so much sadness for my wallet 😅
I 100% want a sheik game!😤😤😤
Argggghh so sad that I just recently played the fan translated super nintendo ports last year of DQ 1-3 since these HD-2D versions look amazing!
On another note, the Farmagia game mechanic wise looks kinda interesting with a pikmin/rpg game style haha. The real problem might be how annoying the farming is and even though I don't care much about graphics, the world graphics of this game look awful/boring to the point they don't even have a style. Such a shame because I love the art style of the character so much, being a big Fairy Tail fan.
A zelda game whitout a sword is not a zelda game I also felt that way when they got rid of the ocarina and the 🧚♂️ and dungeon but whit that all said I am ok whit the game that have came out so far
I bought baiten kaitos recently and cannot for the life of me, understand the combat, and that frustrates me
Some people really like it -- but I was in the same camp, dropped it after a few hours when I piked it up on GameCube a long while back
Why do most rpg flopped on Nintendo? Switch has sold 142m but most games other than Mario Smash Pokémon Zelda stuff always flop
I'm happay about Dragon Quest, but at the same time annoyed about it.
Annoyed that it's split into two releases? As long as they're not full-price I think it'll be alright... I hope.
@@SuperDerek About that.
Don't like the stepback (cashgrab) for TLoZ. Feels cheap. Remakes would've been much better, more desirable.
