Kristen Faulkner: Focused | Explore series | Presented by Wahoo | EF Pro Cycling

Ever since she was a little girl, growing up in Homer, Alaska, Kristen Faulkner wanted to be an athlete. She tried every sport she could when she was young, focusing first on swimming in school and becoming state champion, and then rowing in college, where she competed for Harvard. She took up cycling in New York City, where she was working as a venture capitalist after she had graduated. Soon, she was winning races. Soon, she’d turned pro. Soon, she was Olympic champion.
“I believe that I can achieve anything that I really set my mind to and work hard at,” she says. “You have to believe in yourself to make something happen.”
