We had a bit of a hectic week, so we went back and played an old classic for the evening. It was a ton of fun reliving old memories in Castle Crashers Date Night together while hacking and slashing our way through the kingdom.

the red guy is amazing at leveling because of his lightning magic that does a large number of damage ticks to all enemies caught in it! That's why he had so much more levels than you.

I didn't know I needed a Castle Crashers video this morning, at least until now

The MMO healer in me had a trauma flashback on that one.
Red is strictly the most op, exp is gained per tick of damage (not the amount), so if you catch 4 people in that lightning beam, you are getting 4 hits of experience every quarter second for as long as you hold the button down. Not to mention that it fully locks enemies in place and just does crazy damage.

Red Knight was broken WAAAAY back when the game first launched. His magic can stunlock everything it hits for as long as you have magic, including players! That let's you rack up XP and kills super fast. Not sure if that is still the case.
This might be underrated but the BGM that y'all put in your videos is one of the many things that makes me come back to every single videos Top Tier music choice

When Jumper started playing I just couldn't focus, my mind retrieved memories from Geometry Dash, would love to see you guys play it

When my kids were younger, this was the game that saw more playtime in my household than anything else... this includes Skyrim, lol. It looks like you two had a blast with this romp of a good time!

Castle Crashers is my absolute go to party game when i am with people that never played it or that i just got to know, this game can be intense, stupid, funni, unfair, easy and relaxing at the same time. Truly a master piece
Amazing as always! Me and my SO have currently been enjoying "Full Metal Furies" recently, which is quite reminiscent of castle crashers, while having its own unique take, mainly a different style of humour and a bigger focus on bullet hell and ranged combat.

I find that defense and magic are the 2 best stats. You gain exp based on the number of hits you deal so going all in on attack means you get less gains overall.
Defense however equals HP. So if you’re trash at the game (like me) you’ll get plenty of practice and spend less money overall.
Speed is pretty good and it affects how fast you fire your bow.

I have not thought about this game in a long time, I think I still have it downloaded, been years sense I played it so I might give it a go again.

I played this with my husband a few times and I insisted I wanted the orange, despite it being his favorite color. He chose red instead. I then learned that he can't really see a difference between red and orange and would constantly think he was me, so I carried us through the levels as he ran Red into the walls.
Until it came to the duels. He must've hit some kind of magic button combo in his brain that unlocks super saiyan gamer mode, because he would beat me. Every. Time.
After all these years, I'm still salty. I wanted the princess... T_T

I remember the first time I played this game. Back in the day my and my cousin would have to download small games because we had dialup and so one day we came across castle crashers and that day we almost beat the game. Then later on I accidentally deleted all my saves and then right after me my cousin did the same thing

he let you win at the end there, he got the zap on you but then he stopped.
Well you see there's the problem. You let him pick the red knight which means he literally wins the game with no contest. Stun lock + damage ticks + the enemy doesn't knockback like all the other magi attack is busted. I never knew this because I didn't spec into magic and only played green knight (because it was my favorite color) My excuse was that I was a child.

Have you guys ever considered Borderlands 2 for a Date Night? I just watched your Divinity Original Sin 2 video and it left me feeling much the same as when i played Borderlands 2 with friends. Especially the many new games after a decent hiatus each time. If neither of you has played Borderlands before 2 is definitely the best one to start with, also they are all standalone.
