This is a great video. The pouring out of gas and replacing with fresh fuel was perfect advice. I did pick up a new carb etc… on Amazon for around $20 just in case and will just save it. Great step by step video!
If you rotate the choke lever on the carb by hand you can take the linkage off without removing the wires and plastic choke lever.Just a tip.Not trying to be a know ot all.
The dealer I bought mine from says on that air filter, don’t pry the tabs up as they have a tendency to break. He says to pull the top towards you or away from you, and it’ll come right off.
I’m fixing up a 025 and it didn’t have one of those seasonal shutter slides installed. Are they absolutely necessary or should I play it safe and head to my local dealer to pick one up? The average temperature in my area is between 60°F and 100°F
If you are referring to the gasket between the intake and the carburetor, no. The carburetor is being bolted against a rubber intake. The paper gaskets they send are unnecessary and potentially problematic
Thanks a lot! I followed your steps and now my saw runs like new. 15 years old, almost bought a new one. Extremely helpful!

No you don't need it
Should I replace the gasket as well?
