Taka should never had blamed Mufasa for betraying him because he never did, the outsiders killed his parents and stole the kingdom he was suppose to rule and he still sided with them out of jealousy that the lioness he fell in love with had chosen his brother for a mate. Taka/Scar betrayed Mufasa by taking all the credit he had done, he never even tried to win Sarabi over by being himself (for which he’s really a coward), just took advice from Mufasa’s ideas. If he had any honesty in his heart he would have admitted the truth and have been happy for Mufasa and Sarabi and hoped he would find his own mate his way. Also if he wanted to be king so badly he could have returned to his birth place and rebuilt his father’s kingdom and started his own pride while Mufasa became king of the pride lands with the outsiders defeated. To be honest Taka’s father is to really blame because he brought up his son that way for being deceiving, lying, lazy and cowardly. While Mufasa had been raised by the lionesses and grew to become strong, brave, compassionate and true of heart, which is why Sarabi fell in love with him and why he was chosen to be the true king.

taka saved mufasa's life FIVE TIMES throughout the whole movie, and at the end mufasa turns his back on his brother. yes taka was wrong for siding with kiros, however he redeemed himself by literally risking his life for mufasa, that's a huge choice and clearly shows taka regrets what he had done. taka may have done some cowardly things throughout the movie, and yet he develops and grows and by the end of the movie becomes brave enough to face off against kiros, a fully grown adult lion, a coward would not do that. people seem to be forgetting that taka isn't even an adult, he's a young adolescent lion and if mufasa had actually shown proper forgiveness and offered to share the kingdom with taka and guide his brother taka could have learned and grew to become a great lion. the fact that mufasa treats taka with cruelty instead of real forgiveness at the end is why taka becomes the lion he is in the future, mufasa has a huge fault in why taka became cruel and uncaring. the main reason taka betrayed his brother was because he felt like nobody loved him and that he was second best to mufasa, and mufasa basically just encouraged this insecurity and fear in taka making him believe it was really true. mufasa didn't even bother to tell the other animals that taka had saved his life, he stayed quiet even when they thought about exiling him which made the other animals assume taka was still a betrayer and hadn't done anything to help mufasa during the battle which was really scummy of him. no wonder in the later movies taka becomes isolated and ostracized from both the pride and other animals, living in a cave away from everyone.
These comments defending Taka makes no sense, once a traitor always a traitor he plotted to kill his brother the first time, that’s not redeemable. Scar is like Loki.

That's how Taka got his scar from Kiros when he tried to slash Mufasa to death! Man, if Taka aka "Scar" hadn't been the main villain of the "The Lion King" film, it would've been Bloodpaw. After all, Bloodpaw is a golden jackal, who wanted vengeance on Taka & his pride for the death of his grandfather years ago when they saved an addax herd from the jackals. In fact, Taka was shocked that Bloodpaw is responsible for the death of Mufasa when he tackled him off the cliff & into the gorge below with the wildebeest stampede after fighting off 4 of Bloodpaw's pack members, which Taka & his Guard couldn't save him in time. Luckily, Taka told his nephew, Simba, to flee away as far as possible, while he & his Guard hold off Bloodpaw's pack; nonetheless he promised to come find him soon. As a result, Taka found Simba & Nala at an oasis paradise with Timon, Pumbaa, & the other animals, which he told Simba that Bloodpaw has taken over the Pride Lands as the false Jackal King & been overhunting. Much to Simba's dismay, he, Nala, Pumbaa, Timon, Taka, & all of the oasis paradise animals ran back to the Pride Lands & took on Bloodpaw & his pack. Thus, Simba & Taka did work together on fighting Bloodpaw for good. Simba: You can't win, Bloodpaw! Bloodpaw: Why not? I'm the true king! This is for my grandfather, Buo!!
