I want to say something light hearted and supportive, as a non binary person, but from the tone of the video I can read that coming out has been a hard journey and you must be tired. So instead, here's another type of supportive message: It's going to get better, and if it doesn't we will continue on to spite those who expect us to do bad. As a peer, I'm proud, and as a fan I admire your strength. But as a fellow queer, I'm sending you all the love and virtual hugs that the world wide web could possibly fit.

I really relate to this. I’m a trans woman too. And I genuinely understand how you feel. It took me time to learn who I am. Deep down I never was a boy. I tried as hard as I could to be masculine and “normal”. And well. I started talking to female friends. And they made me feel normal. More like me than I ever was before. While my male friends picked on me. I think my peers think it’s for attention. It’s not. And it hurts they think that. I feel alone. And abnormal. And I lost a lot of people. But it was worth it. I haven’t really came out yet. I’m still trapped in male clothes and appearance. My mom knows, but she doesn’t take it seriously. She refuses to understand that. She wants me to be her “boy” but that’s not me. No I’m not doing this to “manipulate women” I’m doing this to set me free. Ever since I came to terms with myself. Life has been harder. But I almost feel genuine now.
Thanks for uploading this. It’s nice to be able to relate to someone

Doesn't sound like you're a girl to me. You just weren't treated right. I wish the system would change so people didn't have to.

@@mrbanks456 I get what you mean. But I really am, and I’m much happier identifying as one.

I wish you happiness and the best of possible path through transition.
I've been watching your channel since two years back. I was so happy to find someone trying to take on all the pretentious and arty stuff out there, and finally someone who tried to say something about Terayama. I''m biseuxual and gender queer and have been considering hormones, but have kept hesitating. I'm in my late thirties, bald and with a wierd growing feeling of turning into an "old man". I can really relate to the wool metaphoere since aging have given me a cumulatvie feeling of body dysphoria.

Hey dear Jane, thank you for your work. I've always been fazinated by transgender people because I remember how much I hated being a girl when I was a teenager. I disliked everything that was in my opinion female because all I saw on media or in my environment was not what I felt like. What a woman 'should be' was not how I wanted to be seen. I would have never understand why someone would want to be that 'stupid, weak' gender. So many stereotypes, being always sexualized, no muscles, being payed less, needing to behave in certain ways etc....
Now that I've been a long grown up, I not only learned the science of different brains and bodies (and why it's such a complex topic), I also came to peace with myself. I was looking so long for an answer why being a woman would be good. And in the end, I just like being a woman because I am a woman but that doesn't mean I have to act like all the other woman.
I'm always happy to see people like you finally becoming happy with what ever name they choose for themselves.
Good luck for your future and stay happy!

Not really your fault cause it was pretty obvious she was trans, when someone looks like that you normally just assumes that she is out, otherwise why dress like a woman

    • @Wackaz

I made a mistake similar to that before but SIS totally understood, and explained to me afterwards that making such a mistake is totally natural and understandable in that context of her being a public figure. I'm sure she wasn't uncomfortable by your mistake - and she'll understand why you made it; I may be wrong and don't mean to speak for her of course, but this is what I can assume, so it's not your fault or something you should feel bad for, my friend, trust me :)

I love you movie reviews. I can tell you put a lot of effort, thought, and research into your movie reviews, Thank you. My wife is Japanese. The other night she asked me if Japanese singers Akihiro Miwa and Kenichi Mikawa were trans. Both singers were born male and have publicly worn feminine clothes for decades. I said I don't know and I don't care. They are who they are. They have never claimed to be women. In Japan there is no Mr. or Mr.s. just San. San is used for males, females, and everywhere in between. I wish the United States becomes like Japan and people are accepted for who they are. I don't care what you are. I like you movie reviews. Keep them coming. I support you. I'm with you.

"Testosterone that you don't want causes you to have undesired desires" is SUCH a good way to put it. I felt it that way too, a lot!

"Penis" = "Penis". One can have a penis and wear pink dresses and have a high-pitched voice or a deep voice and oily overalls. One can have a penis or a vagina or both or neither and express themselves socially however they want. Gender is indeed a construct that perhaps served more of a purpose in our collective past (because so many more people were stuck in ignorance not even knowing what it was), but at this point it seems obvious that enough people are saying the concreteness of it is largely bullshit. Sadly, there will be plenty of people (not necessarily even the majority) who are stuck in their own mental wool and will disagree with you, but if anything just pity them (without being arrogant) for they haven't seen beyond their paradigm yet (and may never). What it would take for an individual or a society to do so is complicated, but piece-by-piece, slowly or quickly, it will continue to occur as they see society not falling apart simply because such changes are being incorporated. I don't see that humanity has reached its peak quite yet (far from it, sadly).
    Peace and farewell, Jane.

I found your channel through your Possession video and have appreciated your analysis. As a trans woman myself, I related to a lot of your story and I'm glad you're growing into the person you always were now! (Your fits/looks in your videos are also v cute and on point as well!)

Wishing you all the best Jane! I don't know fully understand what it's like to be trans, despite a few of my favorite RUclipsrs actively talking about their experience being trans, but your sheep metaphor has definitely helped me. And I relate to it a little bit as someone who's a closeted bi person. I hope your life gets a lot better from here :)

The thing that's wild to me about this is that you thought we thought you were potentially a gay man. I wasn't sure if you were cis or trans, but I always assumed you were a woman. I guess that's just harder to see from inside your own perspective as the person transitioning.
Anyway, I'm glad you're taking steps to being a happier and healthier person.
